The best ideas for hiding wires on the walls, floor and ceiling in the house. How to hide wires in an apartment: basic tricks (51 photos) Installing a junction box

Since housing problem forever changed the minds of Muscovites, and indeed of all other inhabitants of the planet, caring for the appearance and interior decoration of their homes began to excite property owners no less, and sometimes even more, than the very acquisition of this property. In the first place, of course, came communications: pipes and wires.

Indeed, the cost of some repairs often compete with the prices of apartments (or even exceed them). Valuations finishing materials in aggregate, they pull out around the apartment, sometimes, for tens of thousands of dollars; highly qualified works (carried out, at the same time, not always by competent “specialists”) are paid according to the formula “100% of the price of materials”. And now, when almost silk wallpaper, at a price calculated per square inch, is finally pasted, the question usually arises - what about the wiring? Even if this question arises in time, i.e. before finishing, then classic solution- punching cable channels in the walls with a perforator - and lengthens the repair time, and proportionally increases the cost, and significantly adds discomfort to neighbors.

Of course, we would like to do without the destructive impact on the load-bearing and delimiting structures. (After all, it is not safe for the whole house). And this is where the main collision of the beautiful with the useful takes place. Beautiful refers to considerations of aesthetics and design of the appearance of the room being finished. And under the useful one are considerations of utilitarian properties and, of course, fire safety, which this or that method of laying electrical wiring in an apartment brings with it.

In this article, I would like to raise and analyze various ways organization of household electrical facilities in private dwellings in apartment buildings. Indeed, in connection with the expensive cost of the issue (repairs and capital improvements), this seems to be quite relevant.

Gating process

Why toil with the "disguise" of electrical wiring, if you can first attach it to the main wall, and then simply plaster it on top. The technique is called "hidden" and not always the sequence of actions is just that. Most often, a team of plasterers valiantly perform their work, and then they are replaced by electricians who begin to reformat the world in their own way, in accordance with the tasks assigned to them. This is strongly reminiscent of a joke about two soldiers from a construction battalion, one of whom dug holes, and the other dug in after him (there was no third one who was supposed to plant trees, but an order is an order). To carry out the wiring, electricians are forced to make channels for wires and holes in the plaster with a perforator - to ditch the surface.

Not everyone and not always want this burdensome procedure:

  • Shtrobleniye spoils the existing plaster. It is extremely rare to break through neat channels. And even if this is done, it will still be necessary to restore the finishing layer of plaster in the places of gating after laying the cable. It should be recognized that the technique is very multi-iterative.
  • Shtroblenie is associated with increased generation of dust, which will be everywhere in the apartment. If we are not talking about the initial arrangement, but about repairs, then you will definitely have to re-paste the wallpaper and update the ceiling.
  • Prolonged unpleasant sound effect of the perforator. Even if producing repair work at hours strictly defined by law, all the same, the neighbors will not thank you.
  • The wiring is hidden capitally. She will never have access to it.

The purpose of the thesis of this section is not at all to discredit one of the most versatile building technologies that provides great opportunities (strobe). With regard to electrical wiring, I would like to focus on the fact that the design and aesthetic appeal of the method is bought at the price of safety. You should not joke with electricity, and communications tend to become unusable. It would be nice to replace them. But if the wires in the apartment are laid in channels punched in the wall, then you can simply forget about it. Rewiring is possible only by laying a new cable and disconnecting the old one (at both ends).

In this regard, it would be nice, of course, to acquire an alternative. There is such a way - this is the laying of electrical cables in an open way. About the features and possibilities of this path below.

Open wiring options

The most important plus of the open method cannot be immediately named. Indeed, what is more important: affordability, technological simplicity or promising fire safety? But all these positive qualities are fully inherent in any of the options. open wiring. By the way, it is worth calling them:

  • cable channels;
  • corrugated sleeve;
  • skirting boards / baguettes.

All these "camouflage" techniques serve three main purposes:

  • observing the requirements of aesthetics (i.e. harmoniously), hide the wiring cables, making them part of the interior;
  • improve the fire safety of electrical wiring by providing access to any part of it for possible control or replacement;
  • provide shielding from electromagnetic radiation generated by alternating current. It should be noted right away that far from all materials cope with this task and, as a rule, effective ones are much more expensive.

External "camouflage" wires, indeed, generate an order of magnitude less debris and dust than gating. However, there will still be inconvenience. To start, at least with the inevitable movement of furniture away from the walls. In addition, the fastening of all the devices listed above to the walls, most likely, will be carried out using a puncher and a screwdriver (dowels and screws). So you have to make noise and spray.

Before you start to "hide" and mask the wiring, it is strongly recommended to contact professional designers and make a wiring project. By themselves, these devices are designed to make the room more beautiful. It would be a shame to spoil appearance only because the aesthetic idea was not fully formed.

Stages of work

After drawing up a design project, it is logical to start marking the walls and highlighting those places where it is planned to install cable outlets from the elements covering them. Speech, first of all, is about switches and sockets.

Next, you should fix the base (for boxes), brackets (for corrugated hoses) or fixed mounts (for skirting boards) on the walls. This is the only stage where you will have to use a drill and a screwdriver. I would like to wish that it be completed in the shortest possible time.

Next, we lay the wiring inside the elements. After laying, we bring the elements to the final state and inspect. The wiring must be free in the channels. We make an inspection finished work: there should be no kinks and super-dense (close-fitting) laying of wires.

Let's start testing: we measure the insulation resistance. When the results are fixed, we try to apply the operating voltage. We carefully listen to the wiring - there should be no extraneous noise: periodic crackling, sound vibrations. In addition, there should not be any dangerous odors, such as burnt plastic. After turning off the power, we check the insulation between the cable cores. The electrical resistance must be at least 0.5 mΩ. If this value is less, then it is necessary to correct the defect. The result might be:

  • damaged insulation due to cable contact with different kind obstacles;
  • takes place hall;
  • pay special attention to the presence of hardware along the route of passage of the electric wire. Sometimes, a self-tapping screw or a nail causes damage to the insulation;
  • incorrect connection of the wires in the shield.

If, after measuring the insulation resistance, everything works and the test light is on, then we proceed to the final stage.

We open the boxes and / or skirting boards and connect the wires to sockets and switches. After that, close the lids again. The wiring is ready to use.

Cable channels

Cable duct boxes are the most common when making wiring during repairs according to the so-called European standard. In any hardware store, as a rule, there is a rich selection of such boxes of various profiles, designed for any functionality. So there are no restrictions for the flight of design ideas.

The boxes are made of polycarbonate and cost "penny", so the economic factor will also not be a limiting barrier. The material is non-combustible. It does not support combustion, it does not even really melt when it gets into the fire, however, it loses its shape, twisting. Plastic elements are lightweight and can be easily processed with a simple knife. The considered boxes are presented, as a rule, by the widest range of colors and colors. So it will definitely be possible to find the option that is most suitable for wallpaper (for example).

In fact, cable channels are not just plastic boxes, but the entire line of fittings and accompanying elements:

  • crosses;
  • plugs;
  • adapters.

Involved all together, they are able to create the impression of "technological advancement" of the room.

Regarding the shielding effect, it should be noted that such boxes cost twice as much on average. First, due to the presence of additional useful effect. And secondly, thanks to the inner coating of both the base and the lid, made of foil.

Boxes perfectly cope with all the tasks assigned to them:

  • they provide access to the entire length of the wiring in the apartment without difficult dismantling (just remove the latch cover from the base);
  • they provide satisfactory fire safety, ensuring that fire does not spread due to possible powerful sparks as a result of a short circuit;
  • they are an excellent tool for decorating a room.

From the point of view of the design of the cable duct box in classic version recommended to take white color and placed either along the plinth or under the ceiling. Then, regardless of the length of such channels, the room (whether painted or with pasted wallpaper) will have a complete look. And snow-white boxes will be just the underlining element that will create and accentuate the elegance of the room.

corrugated sleeve

Now, it is probably easier to stumble upon such a corrugated tube than to see the electrical wire in its purest form. And not easy. The main task of such a sleeve is to provide additional protection of the wire from mechanical damage, and also (here it is much more common) to protect both the wire from the electromagnetic effects of possible surrounding emitters, and to save the room from the induced electromagnetic field caused by the passage alternating current through the wire.

Although the corrugated pipe standardizes all wires (thin, thick and multi-colored) under one format, the design tool from it is unimportant. It is completely unsuitable to keep its shape, and it will be located parallel to the floor in two cases:

  • if it is fixed on the ceiling;
  • and if it is attached to the floor.

Therefore, cases when a corrugated pipe is used are more likely a technological rationale: you need to assemble the wires into one bundle. Those. there are too many wires in this case that they need such structuring - this is clearly not the format of an apartment.

The disadvantage of such a pipe is the impossibility of visual control of the wiring along the entire length. And in general, it will be extremely difficult to inspect any significant section of it without damaging the corrugation.

You should not expose the corrugated pipe for show, forming the appearance of the rooms. It should be borne in mind that this is rather an "intermediate" material. Several of these pipes look very solid, going together and each branching off to its consumer. But from above, this wiring should be covered by some kind of decorating surface.

Skirting boards and baguettes

One of the traditional ways to hide wiring. Since its appearance in our homes, this has become the second utilitarian purpose of skirting boards (both from below, from above). Modern skirting boards are, of course, much more adapted for this function:

  • they are made of non-flammable plastic;
  • they have sufficient internal volume to accommodate several different kind wires;
  • their design ideology includes the possibility of dismantling. Those. their installation on brackets is provided, which are already permanently attached to the wall or floor;
  • they have the entire line of accompanying fittings (such as corners, joints, transitions, plugs, etc.)

Wooden skirting boards are less convenient in this regard, and their fire resistance raises certain concerns. However, in some cases, such skirting boards significantly outperform plastic ones:

  • It is enough to treat the wooden plinth with a special composition that gives the wood fire-fighting properties, and such a detail is not something that will not catch fire, it will not even support the flame when thrown into an open fire.

The plinth, made of expensive wood species, has two advantages at once:

  • it still remains affordable (since it, in any case, has a small amount of this most valuable wood);
  • it gives the whole room an eye-catching nobility (regardless of what cheap materials the walls are finished with).

Finally, it is hard to imagine that the walls that cover the panels from natural wood, were trimmed around the perimeter with plastic plinths.

Baguettes repeat the features of skirting boards with one exception. If there is molding in the decoration of the room (and the baguette is its integral part), then this is a non-removable element of decor, and the wiring laid through such a channel will forever remain inaccessible.

Laying wires in skirting boards and baguettes has another advantage. Nearby, as a rule, there are sockets or other consumers (in the case of a baguette, these can be all kinds of alarms or even surveillance cameras). That. no need to rack your brains on how to bring a wire to them, and then also beautifully disguise it.

Alternative methods of hidden laying of wires without chasing

Are there other methods of hiding the wiring without having to hammer the concrete, which, nevertheless, completely exclude the presence of any elements on the walls? Yes. Excellent camouflage elements are the floor and ceiling. Not all, of course. This refers only to those floor surfaces that are laid out on logs. And the ceiling is supposed to be some additional decorating plane, located indented from the main horizontal ceilings. In addition, there are other options, which are discussed below.

Floor

Laminate flooring is now widely used in apartments. Thin parquet, which replaced the classic wooden planks. In accordance with modern technologies, it is laid on sheets of plywood. But before that, it is supposed to lay heat and sound insulation. In other words, first, logs are laid on the concrete floor, between which insulating materials are placed ( stone wool, for example), and then sheets of plywood, etc., are placed on even logs. Nothing prevents us from laying a sufficiently large number of electrical wires into the space between the lags.

Here, by the way, corrugated pipes are very useful. If the wires are laid in them, then you can no longer worry about fire safety. Cables can be easily laid both along the lag and across, cutting out spaces in wooden guides for crossing them with wires. If you place sockets close to the baseboards (i.e. closer to the floor), then there will be no additional problems of hiding the wires going from the floor to them along the walls.

Switches are usually located at waist level. But here plinths framing, for example, a doorway will help us. A single pair of wires goes to the switch, and such a cable will easily fit into the space created by a neat baseboard, even if the wire is inside a corrugated pipe of a minimum diameter.

With safety and aesthetics, everything is more or less clear. And what about access to wiring for possible repair or replacement? Everything is unsettling here. Laying electrical cables in this way is, in fact, tantamount to laying them under plaster. It is unlikely that anyone will ever remove the skirting boards and disassemble the parquet or grooved floor just to change the wire. Only if in conjunction with other repair aspirations. In general, the repair of the lower plane is one of the most time-consuming reparation measures.

Ceiling

Suspended and stretch ceiling are becoming more and more widespread both in private dwellings and in institutions and offices (offices). The main motivating factor for the owners to install a stretch ceiling in their apartment is dust. Traditional whitewashing is capable of generating up to 38% (according to the latest data from European researchers) of all dust in an apartment. Tension planes are much more hygienic.

In offices, suspended ceilings have long been a classic sign of business style and design. They are inexpensive, technologically advanced in installation and ergonomic in operation. Plus, the fact that it is stretch, that suspended ceilings are located at some distance from the capital ceilings, which, of course, takes precious centimeters from the height of the room, but it provides the most convenient way breeding electrical wiring and signal cables in an apartment or office.

The absence of obstacles allows, using such a space, to conduct wires directly (i.e. along the shortest route). Which means:

  • the cost of the general wiring loop in the room is significantly reduced;
  • reducing the total length of conductors (cables) reduces the overall resistance of the circuit, which enhances fire safety in a home or office.

Unlike floor coverings that are stretch, that suspended ceilings are dismantled much easier and more technologically (suspended - in general, in parts). And therefore, the replacement of wires will be associated with minimal inconvenience.

Here, as well as in the case of placing wires under the floor, it is strongly recommended to "form" individual wires or their bundle into corrugated pipes - a pledge fire safety the entire system.

The disadvantage of such wiring is its "isolation" from consumers. If you need to power some kind of alarm or surveillance camera, which, as a rule, are located under the ceiling, then pulling the cable through the space under the ceiling is ideal. What about a socket or switch? The wire will go through the entire wall (or most of it), which forces, at best, to resort to the design elements discussed above (boxes, etc.). But the effect of the "clean wall" is irretrievably lost. And here it will not be possible to get out of the situation with the help of a plinth running along the door jamb, because. the door is usually adjacent to the floor and does not touch the ceiling.

Walls

Drywall has long been rooted in the homes of Russians. It seems that it is present everywhere: in offices, and in private individual houses, and in apartments, etc. Recently, it has been pretty diluted with other panel materials: chipboard, fiberboard, DSP, etc. But the essence remains the same - the plates are designed to create an ideal flat surface. As in the case of the ceiling and floor panel materials installed at some distance from capital structures (walls). They are fixed on guides (wooden or metal) in a position ideally perpendicular to the ground plane, and one of the useful side effects created by them is the space that is formed between them and the camps.

If you use this space for the purpose of laying communications, then almost all the pluses of floors and ceilings are aggregated (in this aspect) and all the minuses go away:

  • Now you can power any consumer, wherever it is located along the height of the wall.
  • Replacing the wiring becomes a fairly simple operation that does not create any significant inconvenience. It is enough to disassemble and remove, for example, a socket or switch, disconnect the other end of the wire and pull the wire out through the open socket of the consumer.

You should be prudent and tie any thread to the free end of the wire so that, using this thread, you can then pull the new cable in the reverse order.

  • Fire safety is ensured by placing an electrical wire in a corrugated pipe.

There is only one drawback here - it will not be possible to connect various points in the apartment along the shortest route, as is the case with ceilings. You have to go around the perimeter. But this minus pales in comparison with a full-fledged solution to the problem of hiding electrical communications throughout the house.

Sometimes, when buying new equipment or after repairing the wires in the apartment, they remain lying on the floor, hanging on the wall. They seriously spoil the appearance of housing, moreover, they can cause a person or electronics to fall. It is necessary to clarify in advance how to hide the wires so as not to spoil the design and make the house safe.

Internal placement

When a major overhaul begins in an apartment or house, the wiring is most often recessed into the walls. First, a wall chaser, a drill, a puncher make strobes in the wall, into which the cables are then hidden. Posting in wooden house must be placed in a protective corrugation - a shell that will cover them from adverse effects and prevent damage.

Communications remain open during cosmetic renovation of the home or when installing new sockets, switches. You can always correct the situation if you wish. extra costs. There are several methods that allow you to hide the wires with your own hands.

On the walls

It happens that the wallpaper is already pasted, and you do not want to violate their integrity. There is an option to eliminate protruding cables without serious damage:

  • carefully cut the wallpaper or bend it away from the wall close to the floor;
  • take a convenient construction tool, make a neat shallow channel in the wall;
  • lay the wires in the resulting hole;
  • close the channel with a thin layer of plaster, putty;
  • let the solution dry;
  • glue the wallpaper in place.

If this method is not suitable, you can act without gating - use a decorative box for wires. Especially often it is necessary to close the power wires with boxes: they have a large diameter, so they cannot be drowned into the wall without re-repair. It is necessary to buy a cable channel that is suitable in color, width, length, which will serve as an additional element of decor and reliably protect the wiring.

In a wooden house, the box will help strengthen fire safety measures. This option is also ideal for the bathroom, because it is very difficult to lay wires under the tile. It is only important to remember that all lighting elements, electrical wiring, cable channel must be waterproof.

How else to hide the wiring on the walls beautifully? If desired, it can be covered with such trim elements:

  • door platbands;
  • various moldings, baguettes;
  • window slopes.

It should be noted that only low-current wires (for example, for the Internet, telephone) can be covered with such materials, and those under high voltage cables can only be hidden in accordance with fire safety regulations.

On the floor

Wiring is often thrown across the floor, and here it is even easier to hide it than on the wall. During repairs, when laying the screed, you can stretch the cables in the corrugation, fill them with cement from above - the communications will be reliable and durable. If flooring already exists, it is easy to carefully remove it, punch the recesses with a perforator, then drown the wires in them and cement them. Under wooden floors you will have to lay the cables in a metal pipe, after removing the boards.

The stores offer a wide range of skirting boards for the floor with a hole for wires (with a cable channel). The central part of such a plinth is removed, cables are laid in a niche, after which the removable element returns to its place. Working with such skirting boards is convenient, fast, there is no dust, dirt, floor material does not deteriorate.

The procedure for laying wires under the most popular coating - laminate - is as follows:

  • remove part of the lamellas under which the cable will pass, up to the construction logs (bars);
  • place the cables in the corrugated pipe along or across the lag, if necessary, cutting out a space in the tree for crossing the wires;
  • return the soundproofing gaskets and lamellas to their original place.

On the ceiling

You can also hide the wiring on the ceiling, while the method will depend on the type of coating. In homes and offices, stretch ceilings are often used, which take up extra space, but make it possible to wire the wires the way users need. There are practically no obstacles for cables, therefore it is possible to lead them along the shortest path. This has a number of advantages:

  • cost reduction;
  • reduction of work time;
  • reduction of the total resistance of the circuit;
  • strengthening fire safety;
  • easy wiring replacement.

According to the rules fire brigade it is necessary to close the wires, their bundles with corrugated pipes. Do the same with wiring under false ceilings, niches or complex plasterboard structures. It is best to link communications into a single highway, which will facilitate repairs in the future. If the ceiling is concrete, you will have to drill strobes in it and lay the wires in the same way as it is done on the walls. This method is very laborious and is rarely practiced.

outdoor camouflage

In the presence of artistic taste, many prefer not to hide, but to decorate the wires. From standard wiring it is quite possible to make a real art object, a picture, a panel with your own hands. Usually the cables are black, white, but if desired, you can find a material of a brighter shade.

Next, you should choose a drawing suitable for the style of the interior, make a sketch of it with a non-greasy simple pencil right on the wall. After that, you need to measure the length of the circuit with a thread in order to buy the missing amount of cable (part of it will only play a decorative role).

From the wires, you can lay out any wall drawing. Often the following are taken as a basis:

  • branch with leaves, sitting birds;
  • one or more trees;
  • giant light bulb
  • power station;
  • road (in the nursery);
  • decorative fence.

The wires are attached to the wall with special fasteners, which can then be decorated with any suitable material– cloth, special paper, designer decorations. Also, ugly protruding wires are hidden behind tall indoor plants, well-placed furniture, carpeting, door and window trims.

Hiding wires from TV and computer

Usually the TV is placed in plain sight, so a long wire from the equipment will also be visible to everyone. Most often, during the repair, they immediately determine the place for the TV, mounting the sockets behind it, and leading the wire out of the wall. It is recommended to carefully peel off the wallpaper, make a strobe for wiring, put it in the hole, drowning it in the corrugation. The wires are fastened with brackets.

Near computer desk there are almost always a lot of cables, because printers, modems, routers and other devices are connected to the system unit. To hide the "tangle", you can do the following:

  • attach the wires to the inner surface of the table with self-tapping screws, reliable tape, staples of a construction stapler;
  • beautifully arrange a shoe box, a plastic box, cut holes and release the wiring;
  • sew a fabric cover, attach to the table top or to the back of the furniture from the inside;
  • attach cables with clerical clips to furniture;
  • hide the wiring in a single "hose" that will prevent confusion.

In order not to get confused when masking the wires and not to get into trouble during the repair, they must be marked in advance. This will help you immediately find the right cable later. It is better to separate low-power wiring from power wiring, without connecting it into a single bundle. Wires from the antenna, the Internet should be placed separately from others, so as not to spoil the signal quality.

Cables should have the shortest possible length and the minimum number of connections: this increases their safety, reduces the risk of injury. It happens that the braid of hidden cables is frayed at an unsuccessful location, so wiring in dangerous places should be checked more often. If you need to mask the wiring, you can use any ideas, especially since the range of tools and materials for decorating is now huge!

It is important to understand that a TV is not only a screen. A huge number of different devices are connected to the TV device: speakers, subwoofer, laptop, receiver, etc. Add to this the power cord and antenna cable. It is not surprising that all users have a question, how to hide the wires from the TV on the wall, in the floor or decorate them?

Now let's look at 5 main ways to mask all the cords. Let's determine where it is better to hide the wires. Let's bring real examples with photographs that confirm that it is really possible to hide all communications.

into the wall

Hiding the cables is not difficult. Especially considering the fact that the disguise of various communications is a real trend in the world of interior design. Very often you have to pull the antenna cable through the entire apartment. This breaks the aesthetic picture. Therefore, new ideas on how to hide the wires from the TV will come in handy more than ever.

Remember that the antenna cable is not the only wire that connects to the TV device. Keep in mind that you also need to mask the power cord. many owners modern technology connect the Ethernet cable to the LAN connector. Add to this the HDMI cable used to connect additional devices.

To solve this problem, use floor skirting boards with cable channels. They allow you to hide the wires. What to do if the TV hangs on the wall? You will have to pull the cables out of the plinth to bring them to the TV. It is clear that such a solution can hardly be called optimal. Therefore, it is wiser to hide communications in the wall.

What is the easiest way out of this situation? Bundle the wires using nylon ties. Try to somehow disguise the cords. It is absolutely impossible to call this method ideal, but it has the right to life.

A fundamental, but very time-consuming solution is laying wires in strobes. You need to make special holes during the repair. Do not forget to equip the outlet for the TV on the wall. This is the most accurate and technological way. None of the guests will accidentally touch the wires. Also, the cords will be out of the reach of pets. All wires are displayed in a single console, which contains the necessary connectors.

To route wires along the strobes, it is not at all necessary to hammer the entire wall. Pull them up to the baseboard, and then hide them in it. The main disadvantage of this method is that it is suitable only for those owners of TV equipment who carry out repairs in their house or apartment.

How to hide wires in the wall under the TV if you have just finished finishing? Optimal solution- decorate the cords, but we'll talk about this a little later. Now let's analyze how to hide communications for the TV on the wall.

To begin with, carefully consider where exactly the TV will be located. Mark the location of the device on the wall. The second stage is the choice of the bracket. This aspect has colossal importance. Despite the global VESA standard, which includes the most popular mounting points, the brackets themselves come in different shapes and sizes.

Think carefully about which type of bracket is best to choose. If the mount is too massive, it will interfere with switching. An incorrectly selected bracket size will cause the wires to fall out from behind the TV screen.

To make accurate measurements, you must first buy a TV. When the device is in your home, measure the dimensions, and then buy a special bracket. Try on the mount to the TV, measure the distance left to the edges - at this distance you need to make sockets.

The measurements taken must be transferred to the wall, and then you can get to work. Using a grinder, 2 vertical stripes are cut in the wall. Their depth should be literally a few centimeters. The distance between the stripes is no more than three centimeters.

Using a perforator, the inside is hollowed out. This allows you to create full-fledged strobes. Make several holes using diamond core bits. They will have outlets. All the necessary outputs should be located here: power supply, cable for the antenna. Consider how many power outlets you will need. It depends on the amount of equipment connected to the TV.

On this the most hard work completed. Lay all the cords in the strobes made. Previously, all wires are fastened with plastic brackets. If this is not done, then they will constantly fall out, interfering with the subsequent wall decoration.

The ends of the wires must be connected according to the appropriate scheme with a socket. Then it must be installed in a specially designated place. Strobes should be closed gypsum plaster. Final stage - finishing. Install the bracket and also fix the TV on it. Connect all wires to TV.

To the floor

The second way is to hide the cords under the floor. Today, in hardware stores, you can easily buy special skirting boards equipped with a niche for cable masking. You just need to remove the outer panel, and then remove the wires into this space. Then put the panel back.

The main advantage of this option is efficiency, cleanliness, simplicity. Work takes a minimum of free time. To close the cords under the plinth, you do not have to gouge anything. No dirt, etc. Antenna and Internet cables can be placed under the plinth. With their help, other communications are also masked.

The antenna cable at the TV can be hidden on the floor, or rather under it. How can I do that? Take a puncher, and then make holes in the floor, which in fact will be intended for wires. With the help of corrugations make protective layer, and then you can lay the cords.

When the installation is complete, level the floor using a mortar of sand and cement. If the apartment has a wooden floor, then you will need to dismantle the boards and place the wires in a metal tube.

in cable channel

A special box also allows you to hide the wires. However, this is a less aesthetic option. The user can make a cable channel on his own or buy it ready-made in a store. Hiding wiring in a box is much easier and faster than making special holes in the floor.

Having carefully studied the assortment of special stores, we come to the conclusion that several types of cable channels are offered to users. The easiest option is PVC boxes. We saw them all. This is an ordinary cable channel made of plastic. Most often they are found in white. The removable lid is held on by latches.

Is it possible to harmoniously fit a PVC box into the interior? This is possible, but only on condition that the color of the cable channel matches the interior palette of the room. It is important that it does not merge with the interior, but at the same time it does not look too catchy.

Perhaps the rarest option is models made of MDF. Such boxes will harmoniously fit into classic interior, which contains wooden furniture And various items interior.

Metal cable channels are made mainly of aluminum. This product looks really impressive. The box will harmoniously fit into a futuristic interior.

In structure, all of the models listed above are very similar. They are fixed to the wall with special dowels or glue. Connections together with cords are hidden under a decorative overlay.

Sometimes it is much easier to make a cable channel yourself than to look for a suitable option in stores. The quality of the product and its appearance directly depends on your skills and abilities. The type of material used is also important. Working with PVC is much easier than with metals.

Do you want something original and non-standard? You can make a cable channel from planed boards. The wires will be located between them. From above, the wires will be covered with a decorative overlay. As for the boards, they can also be painted in any color. What will make them not stand out from the overall picture of the interior.

Under furniture

Mostly we hide the wires behind the TV. It is clear that if you look closely, then all the cords will be noticeable. However, today you can buy special furniture that allows you to hide all communications.

To a greater extent, we are talking about TV cabinets. They are equipped with special holes in which wires can be placed. It is very convenient. Not to mention the fact that the cables will not be visible, respectively, will not violate the interior design. Special headsets, which have a zone designed for installing a TV, also allow you to hide the wires.

Cable as an interior detail

Perhaps the easiest way is to decorate the wires beautifully. You can hide the cords behind living or artificial plants, original snags, curtains. To mask the wires, it is not necessary to make them invisible. Communications can be turned into an element of decor.

To decoratively "beat" the cables, you need to consider the style of the interior. Consider the most popular trends in design, as well as specific recommendations from professionals:

  • Loft - use special channels, presented in the form of laying out small bricks;
  • Classic interior - use additional wooden panels for masking wires;
  • Hi-tech - you can hide the cords in metal pipes, fix them on the wall with screws.

To achieve an impressive result, entrust this work to professionals. Not everyone has the right skills. Experts with experience in carrying out such work will be able to do everything efficiently and quickly.

If creative thinking is developed at the proper level, then you can do the decoration yourself. It is not necessary to buy additional expensive materials. Improvised funds will be more than enough. The method chosen must match the decor.

For example, if the length of the wires allows, then you can draw a picture on the wall or geometric figure. The main thing is that your composition harmoniously fits into the design of the room. First you need to make a sketch of the future drawing with a simple pencil. When the pattern is applied to the surface, you can decorate the wall with cables.

The method of fixing the wires is another very important point which needs to be considered in advance. For example, nails are absolutely not suitable for us, as they will damage the cord. It is better to choose tape or glue. This way of decorating is a very simple masking of cables.

What to do if the patterns and all kinds of ornaments do not fit into the interior or the wires are too short? Use additional piping to turn a regular cord into a decorative element. This method is especially relevant when it comes to children. You can use all sorts of stickers to hide the cables and keep the interior intact.

We welcome everyone who looked to us on the Internet light. Our portal is connected with electrical issues, but we do not forget to periodically talk about things indirectly related to it, which, however, are no less important in our everyday life.

The choice of today's topic fell on the TV on the bracket, namely, how to hide the wires from the TV on the wall. At first glance, it may seem that the question is not so complicated, but even the most ardent skeptics, after reading the material, will discover something interesting and new. So let's go!

We will start with the most obvious and will gradually move towards more interesting and original solutions.

Straight into the wall

Today, concealed wiring is more popular than ever, and indeed, people try to hide from their eyes any communications that, in their opinion, spoil the appearance of the interior. The antenna wire for the TV was no exception, which very often has to be pulled through the entire apartment or house, since a high-quality video signal can often be obtained only by installing the receiver only in a certain place.

  • Floor plinths with cable channels, which can hide most of the cable along its length, are very helpful in solving this problem. However, if the TV is hanging on the wall, the wire has to be taken out of the plinth and directed to it, and it is not difficult to guess that the whole picture immediately deteriorates.
  • Plus, do not forget that the antenna television wire is not the only cable that fits the TV. At a minimum, you will need to power the equipment from the electrical network, but, as a maximum, it will also include: LAN Internet cable (many modern TVs are already, in fact, a computer that can access the network); wires for transmitting video and audio signals from various DVD players, TV receivers, HI-FI acoustics and more.
  • The picture begins to emerge and is completely horrific, and sometimes the maximum that can be done is to wind everything up in a bunch of nylon ties, and at least somehow try to disguise all this disgrace.

Perhaps the most time-consuming and dirty way to hide such a number of wires will be laying them in the strobes made in the wall during the repair. However, the method can be safely called the most accurate and technologically advanced, since the wires hidden in this way will not be gnawed by your cat, no one will accidentally hook your foot, plus everything will be displayed in a single console containing all the necessary outputs.

In this case, there is no need to hollow out the entire wall in order to spread all the wires around the room. It is enough to stretch them to the same plinth and hide everything else in it.

The big disadvantage of this approach is that it is applicable only in premises where renovation work is being carried out. If your walls are just done and you don't want to touch them anytime soon, then scroll right through to the next chapter for alternative methods for hiding your TV antenna wire.

If you are ready to take drastic measures, then stock up on tools and go ahead:

  • First of all, you need to accurately outline the location of the TV on the wall.
  • Next, determine which bracket you will use for mounting. This moment is very important, because, despite the VESA world standard, which includes the most common attachment points, the brackets themselves can be different shapes and dimensions.

Advice! Without paying attention to this, you can end up with communications peeking out from behind the “carcass” of the TV, since the bracket is too massive, or it will interfere with switching.

  • It is desirable that the device is already in your hands, so that everything is measured clearly.
  • Try on the bracket to the TV and measure the distance that remains to the edges - it is on it that we will place all the sockets.
  • We transfer the measurements to the wall and begin to dust. The grinder cuts two vertical strips a couple of centimeters deep, at a distance of 2-3 centimeters from each other.
  • Next, the inner part is hollowed out with a puncher to form a full-fledged strobe.

  • After, with the help of diamond crowns, a series of holes is made for the purchased TV outlet. Immediately see that this element contains all the necessary outlets and a sufficient number of power points so that it is enough to connect all the equipment.
  • The next steps are extremely simple. First, all the wires are laid in the strobes, which must first be fixed with plastic brackets so that they do not fall out and do not interfere with further plastering.
  • The ends of the wires are connected according to the scheme with the socket, and it is installed in its place.
  • All strobes are sealed with gypsum plaster, after which subsequent finishing is performed.

cable channel

A less elegant solution would be to use a cable channel, but not everything is so simple - you can make this element yourself or find a non-standard store option, making it an integral part of the interior. Plus, do not forget that it will be much easier and faster to implement such an undertaking.

Having studied the assortment of electrical goods stores and those selling electronics, you can find the following types of cable channels:

  • The easiest option is PVC.. Everyone saw them - this is an ordinary plastic box in white or another color, which has a removable lid held on by latches. It is possible to successfully fit such a product into the interior only if it is combined with the surroundings. color scheme- will merge with it or vice versa will be brightly contrasting.

  • Quite a rarity - models from MDF that can be effectively combined with the environment.
  • Metal options- more often it is aluminum, which is shown in one of the photos above. Such a product looks impressive enough to become part of some futuristic interior.

The structure of all models is very similar. They are attached directly to the wall with dowel screws, after which all connections, together with wires, are hidden under a decorative overlay.

As already mentioned, in some cases it is advisable to make a box with your own hands. The quality of workmanship and the final appearance will depend entirely on your ability to handle the tool, as well as the type of materials used in the decoration of the room.

The photo above shows a very simple and at the same time effective way to assemble such a box. It is made of planed boards, between which all the wires are laid. Any decorative overlay can be placed on top of them, and the boards themselves can be painted in any shade to make them as inconspicuous as possible.

Special furniture

Furniture manufacturers also did not bypass the problem and offered their solutions to the buyer.

As you can see, the variety is very large, and non-standard options enough furniture. In part, they are not able to hide all communications and still require gating, however, with this approach, there will be much less dirt, so you can resort to this method even in a renovated room, doing everything as carefully as possible.

Creative approach to problem solving

Well, for dessert, we offer you several options that can not only be effective, but also allow you to additionally decorate the room.

decoration

A very interesting way out of the situation is not to hide the wires from the TV on the wall, but to decorate them, that is, to make them part of the interior.

Here are some interesting examples:

There are a lot of decoration options, and even manufacturers offer their own solutions. And if you have enough experience and imagination to create and implement your ideas, you can create a real masterpiece for mere pennies.

by the most simple ways artistic decoration will be the following options:

  • Parts of the wires can be placed behind the furniture, attached to it from the back with tape or staples;
  • Install living plants under the TV;
  • Use varnished driftwood;
  • Make a necklace out of wire by putting large beads on it;
  • Apply ready-made plastic clamps from the manufacturer;
  • And much more.

Decorative boxes

If the wires themselves do not bother you much, but the massive tees and extension cords “calm” your eyes, then the original solution to the issue will be to place them inside a decorative box that you can make yourself or purchase a ready-made version. By the way, instructions for assembling one of these solutions will be given in the video attached to the article.

Various devices are also very effective, allowing you to hide and secure the largest parts in inconspicuous places.

Here are some photos with similar solutions:

That, in principle, is all that we wanted to tell you about how you can hide or disguise the antenna wire for the TV and other cables. No need to put up with the given! Approach the matter wisely, and the result will not keep you waiting!

Completing renovations in a home or office, as well as carefully disguising existing wires, should not relax owners. Mounting on the wall of a new TV, replacing a computer, installation burglar alarm or additional wiring to power electrical appliances leads to a new switching. All this carries additional risks for children, animals and the appearance of the interior. What are the most effective masking methods? How to hide the wires in the apartment in compliance with the safety rules and preserve the design? Let's consider these points in more detail.

Internal disguise

The best option is to hide the cables at the stage overhaul. There are several ways here.

Disguise the wires in the wall. This technology can be used before or after wallpapering. To begin with, the paper is cut with sharp knife, after which the edges are moved apart and fixed with needles. Next, using a perforator or manually, a strobe is made for masking. After completing this work, a cable is laid in the prepared recess , and the groove is closed with alabaster or plasticine. The final stage involves applying glue to the wallpaper and fixing them in place.

How to hide the wires under the wallpaper is shown here:

Hide the wires in the floor. There are several options here.

  • Disguise the wires in floor plinth, where there is a cell for wires. When buying, it is important to pay attention to the design of the product, in the central part of which there should be a special recess. That's where the wires run. This method is characterized by versatility and ease of execution.
  • Hide the wiring in a strobe. Here the principle is the same as in the case of wall mounting. With the help of a perforator, a recess is made where the excess commutation fits. After that, the strobe is poured with cement and leveled to the level with the floor.
  • Fill with cement. If the quality of the flooring in the room leaves much to be desired, you can make a new screed by hiding the wires in it. The latter should be in the corrugation.

Remove wiring from the ceiling. Option two:

  • Hide the wires in a drywall niche installed around the perimeter.
  • Hide the wires in the gap between the stretch fabric and the main ceiling. In the latter case, it is worth notifying the masters in advance of your decision, otherwise you will have to apply other options.

outdoor camouflage

If the methods discussed above are not available for implementation, do not despair. To beautifully and cleverly hide numerous cords, you can use the opposite method, which involves external disguise. If you approach the issue wisely, numerous wires will in no way spoil the interior, but, on the contrary, will give it exclusivity and an unusual appearance.

Consider how to hide the wires from the outside. The options are:

  • Simulate a tree branch. A computer or television wire can be easily decorated by creating a small branch with it, decorated with homemade flowers, leaves or birds. Such a solution will transform the interior, give it uniqueness and brightness.
  • Make a tree. If the wire has a length of one and a half meters or more, you do not need to cut it - it will make a nice "tree". To fix the cord, special fasteners are used, with the help of which the necessary outlines are set.
  • Power station. lovers original design can simulate the supports on which the wires will be attached. This method allows you to solve two problems - to make the wires invisible to the eye and create a base for teaching your children.
  • Complex drawings. If you have free time and imagination, you can hide the wires on the wall by creating an original landscape. Here the main emphasis is on the contrast between the shade of the wallpaper (paint) and the cable. Separately, it is worth considering the elements that allow you to highlight the wiring.
  • Fence. One of the best options- fastening of wires in the top part of a plinth. But in order to hide them from the eyes, it is worth making wooden blanks in the form of a fence, and then fix them on double-sided tape. This method is suitable for a corridor or a child's bedroom. For greater originality, each element of the "fence" can be decorated with a different color.
  • Car track. This option is the most labor-intensive, because it takes time to implement. To create a road, cardboard is used, from which the necessary object is cut out. Next, the paper is painted in a color suitable for the interior.
  • Other ways. In addition to the options listed above, the wires can be removed under the door trim, behind houseplants, under carpet or behind furniture.

Remember that it is better to develop a wire masking plan in advance, and then strictly adhere to it.

A lot of creative options for masking wires are shown in this video:

Hiding cords from the computer

Despite the popularity and availability of wireless technologies, many devices still need to be connected using wires. One of them is a computer, after installation of which a whole “web” of cords is assembled connecting the system unit with a monitor, a mains supply, a printer and other devices.

How to remove all the cables from under your feet, and at the same time not violate the overall design of the room. There are several options:

  • Hide the wires and extension cord in a special box. To implement the plan, it is enough to find a box of a suitable size, make several holes in it, and then mask all the switching in it. As an example, the use of a Plug Hub box made of special plastic is allowed. Its peculiarity lies in the absence of a bottom and holes provided in the upper part. Such a "box" can be attached to the floor or to the wall.
  • Fixing cables under the tabletop. The simplest options include masking the switching under the table, which will require binders and short screws. Make sure that the length of the latter is 20-30 percent shorter than the thickness of the top of the table. First, an extension cord is attached under the tabletop, after which the wires are assembled into a bundle and clamped with binders fixed with screws. There are other options - fastening power cables with a construction stapler (special clamps are used) or conventional ties. In the latter case, the wires are pulled together into a common bundle and fixed to the table leg. The part of the connection that comes from the baseboard can be covered with plastic, matched to the color of the flooring. The filter socket should be hidden under the tabletop, fastening it with a wide Velcro (the latter is fastened with screws). To prevent wires from dangling, switching is laid in small cable channels, which are fixed with an insulating tape or a simple plaster.
  • Creativity. As discussed above, the cable does not have to be hidden somewhere. One of the options is to fix it to the wall with the help of clamps, followed by “fixing” the bird cut out of the magazine. If there are free funds, ugly chargers should be replaced with products in a more original design.

Fixing wires under the table with binders is shown in this video:

and one more option:

Properly hidden wires are a chance to improve interior design, eliminate the risk of electric shock to children and pets, and also get rid of the "web" from under your feet. But, in addition to the secrets already considered, it is worth considering a number of recommendations:

  • Multiple cords are important to store properly. To do this, all switching from set-top boxes, phones, computers and other equipment is put into a special box. To avoid confusion in the future, the purpose of each cable is signed. Use cable ties to avoid tangled wires.
  • If the wire is needed regularly, you can fix it around the perimeter of the table from the underside of the table top. With this attachment, the cord is easy to get at any time and connect to the device.
  • In the process of masking, it is important to mark each cable on one side and the other. Such foresight avoids confusion in the future, when the purpose of each of the switching elements is already forgotten.
  • Construction stores offer a wide range of special boxes made in different style and capable of completing the task. You can easily hide wires in them and not worry about interior design.
  • When using braided fabric, it is important to ensure that it does not sag. Otherwise, the risk of ignition increases, and the appearance of such a product leaves much to be desired.
  • The power cable should be as short as possible. In this case, the risks of injury from electric shock are reduced, and the masking process is simplified. If small children live in an apartment (house), it is worth remembering the danger posed by power cords. That is why it is desirable to hide the wires immediately after installing the equipment.
  • Cables that perform different functions must be separated from each other. So, the wires for powering a computer, printer, music center and other devices are connected separately from the power cords through which voltage is supplied. Thanks to this forethought, it is possible to minimize the pickup, which is the cause of noise and interference.

Results

Tidying up the interior and protecting your loved ones by masking wires is easy, because there are many effective ways. The main thing is to decide suitable option, think over the wiring diagram in advance, purchase necessary materials and follow the advice given in the article.
