Flexible floor plinth for columns and not only made of composite material. Radius skirting board Installing the skirting board on the floor at rounded corners

Finishing any room is a phased implementation of certain steps using various construction and finishing materials. And if you beautifully decorate the walls, floors and ceiling in a room with a standard geometric shape - the science is understandable, then with the decoration of rooms with irregularly shaped corners, columns, curved sections and other decorative elements - a real test for a novice master. For beautiful design the joint between the floor and the walls in some cases even have to use a flexible plinth.

Flexible plinth, as the name implies, due to its ability to bend well, is ideal for finishing rooms with an unusual shape of walls, corners - round or polygonal. It especially facilitates the work of builders who decorate columns - a decorative or load-bearing element beloved by many. Even connecting very small pieces of an ordinary dense plinth with each other, you still won’t be able to finish the joint between the floor and walls beautifully and neatly. Only a flexible skirting board, which is also called a skirting tape, will help to achieve an ideal bend.

Folding baseboard - a variety of options

On a note! If high-quality connecting materials are used when mounting a flexible skirting board, then it is possible to achieve a perfect fit of the profile to the entire curving surface.

The benefits of using skirting tape are listed below.

  1. The installation of the profile is quite simple. At the same time, in the process of work, the material adheres well to the surface. Preliminary preparation, except for pruning, is not required.
  2. Light weight and small size, which facilitates transportation and work with the material.
  3. Strength and resistance to mechanical damage.
  4. Ease of maintenance and long term operation of all types of material.
  5. Moisture and fade resistant.
  6. Non-toxic, high fire safety.
  7. Rich colors and lots of variations.

On a note! Among the whole variety of plinth tapes, there are those that make it possible to use this element for laying and masking wires along the walls. These types of flexible skirting boards have special cable channels.

The only disadvantage of a flexible plinth is its fear of low temperatures. Of course, it does not collapse under their influence, but it loses its flexibility and can break under mechanical stress. Therefore, it cannot be used outdoors.

What materials bend? Types of skirting boards

What can a flexible plinth be made of? Not all materials are suitable for this. So, it must necessarily have elasticity, that is, it is easy enough to bend without breaking.

For the manufacture of flexible skirting boards can be used:

  • corkwood;
  • polyvinyl chloride;
  • polyurethane;
  • « liquid tree».

The latter type of material is rarely used, since it is very difficult to work with it, and its price is prohibitive. Liquid wood hardens very quickly upon contact with the air. It is easier to use other, more familiar modern man materials.

Flexible plastic plinth

Plastic is a broad concept, it combines several types of polymers at once. A flexible plinth is made of polyvinyl chloride. By the way, an ordinary plastic skirting board is also made from the same polymer.

On a note! Ordinary PVC skirting also has good flexibility. But it has longitudinally located ribs necessary for the possibility of its installation, as well as a dense cable channel. Both make it quite rigid and do not allow easy bending. However, there are ways to bend a regular plastic plinth on one's own.

But not everyone has such experiments going smoothly, so most prefer to simply purchase a special flexible plinth. It is a long tape laid in a roll - hence the name "skirting tape". The material is easy to bend and can take any shape.

Flexible PVC plinth has a lot of color variations: you can buy it in white or brown or pick it up under a tree, a stone. There are other color options as well.

The installation of such a plinth depends on the subspecies of the element. For example, self-adhesive options are available, and there are those that are mounted using a special base and require preheating in hot water(about +70 degrees). The base itself, made in the shape of the letter P, is attached to the surface with self-tapping screws.

On a note! The first version of the plinth tape is best additionally glued with “liquid nails” - the connection will be more reliable.

The indisputable advantage of a plastic flexible plinth is its price. Compared to other types, this one is the cheapest. However, it is usually used to decorate the joints of surfaces with a small radius. By the way, such a plinth tape can also be used to seal the gap between the wall and the bathroom (sink), between the countertop and the wall in the kitchen.

Some time ago, this type of flexible plinth came into fashion. Cork borders, covered on the outside with a thin layer of precious wood lamellae, have an elegant appearance and look not only stylish, but also expensive. That is why they are often used to design curved sections.

The advantage of cork plinth is its environmental friendliness, because natural material is used to make the element. Moreover, the cork is very functional and easily takes any given shape, which allows it to be used to decorate even complex interior elements. Since this skirting board has excellent adhesion to adhesives, its installation consists only in firmly pressing the material with the adhesive applied to the wall. It is best to use liquid nails.

By the way, before attaching the element, some of its types will have to be varnished. But on the other hand, the cork plinth can be given the desired color by coating it with a coloring composition before varnishing.

Attention! Cork plinth can not be used to decorate the joints between the wall and the floor in rooms with high level humidity.

Cork plinth looks great in rooms that have a finish made with natural materials. It goes well with ordinary wooden plinth, embossed wallpaper, cork flooring. Its disadvantage is the high price.

Softwood skirting board

Despite the complexity of use, it is impossible not to dwell on such material as liquid wood. It is interesting that such a plinth is made on the basis of the most common durable wood - ash, oak and other species. However, the manufacturing technology is quite complicated. Wood raw materials are exposed to special substances, acquiring a jelly-like consistency, while the substance manages to retain its natural color characteristic of wood. This composition hardens when exposed to air. The consistency of the liquid plinth resembles rubber.

It seems that the installation of such skirting boards is quite simple: they are alternately released from individual vacuum packaging and simply applied to the surfaces. But the whole difficulty lies precisely in the process of correct and beautiful laying of the mass. It will no longer be possible to correct errors after the plinth hardens - just replace it. And this is an expensive pleasure.

Flexible polyurethane

There are types of flexible plinth made of polyurethane. They are also known as rubber. In general, this type does not differ from ordinary skirting boards, but does not break when bent. This was achieved by adding rubber to the starting material during the production of products.

On a note! The polyurethane flexible skirting board can be easily bent along a radius of 50 cm.

The polyurethane plinth is not afraid of water, therefore it can be installed in the bathroom. It also has high strength, easy to operate, non-toxic. It can be painted in any color you like and thus make it match the interior. For painting, it is better to use acrylic-based paints, and the process itself is carried out after the installation of the product. Installation of such a plinth is carried out using a special glue.

Dimensions of the flexible plinth

Depending on what the flexible plinth is made of, it can have different sizes and shapes of release.

Table. Dimensions of the flexible plinth.

Such dimensions are due to the convenience of transportation and installation. Among PVC products, skirting boards with a height of 50-60 mm and a cross section of 20 mm are most often found. They are best used for installation in apartments.

Calculation of the required amount of plinth

The calculation of the plinth is quite simple. The first step is to measure the perimeter of the room in which the baseboard will be used. In this case, all measurements should be made very accurately. The result is fixed.

Advice! It is most convenient to draw a diagram of the room, taking into account all corners, niches, columns, doorways and sign each measurement separately. This will help to correctly estimate the required amount of a whole skirting board and allow the formation of as few joints as possible during installation.

Next, the width of the doorways is measured, which is subtracted from the total sum of the lengths of all sides, that is, the perimeter. Now it remains only to divide the resulting number by the length of one plinth strip. By the way, if the result turned out to be fractional (and in most cases it happens), then it is always rounded up.

It is also important to take into account possible errors and waste generation. For these “needs”, about 5-10% of the result is added to the resulting number. This will be the final amount of plinth needed to decorate a particular room. To calculate the plinth for the entire apartment, all measurements and calculations should be made room by room, that is, in each room separately.

Recommendations for choosing a skirting board and related fittings

Choosing a flexible skirting board is no different from choosing a regular skirting board. It is important to consider a few key points.

Installation of flexible PVC skirting board

After all the necessary calculations have been made, you can go to the store for the baseboard and, having come home, get to work.

However, acquiring a profile is not all that needs to be done, because the following elements and tools may be needed to install a flexible plinth:

  • plugs, corners (external and internal) for plinth, connectors;
  • clerical or simple sharp knife;
  • roulette;
  • pencil;
  • screwdriver;
  • self-tapping screws;
  • brush, spatula;
  • skirting board glue.

On a note! It is not necessary to purchase all of the above items, with the possible exception of accessories. In general, the choice and the need to purchase will be determined by the choice of the method of mounting the skirting board.

There are three installation methods:

  • with clips, which are fixed with screws to the wall at a distance of about 3-5 cm from each other. The plinth is simply put on them. The method is used only on flat walls;
  • with dowels when the plinth is attached in the cable channel area, and the fasteners are later closed with an external decorative strip;
  • with glue. For reliability, experts recommend additionally screwing the plinth with self-tapping screws. At the same time, even components sit on the glue.

Installation of flexible PVC plinth is as follows.

Step 1. The plinth is applied to the wall as it will stand. With a pencil, a mark is applied to the surface of the wall, indicating its height.

Marked with a pencil

Step 2 Markings are applied to the entire wall, marking the upper border of the plinth.

Step 3 A special adhesive solution is applied to the wall surface using a small spatula (not wider than the height of the plinth).

Step 4 The adhesive solution is also applied to the back surface of the plinth.

Step 5 The plinth is carefully glued to the wall along the previously marked upper border. During installation, the element is well pressed down by hand. The joint between the wall and the floor is worked out with a metal spatula.

Step 6 The inner corners deserve special attention. The first step is to soften the baseboard with a building hair dryer.

Step 8 To avoid an ugly protrusion in the corner, a neat cut is made on the protruding part of the plinth at an angle of 45 degrees.

Step 9 The halves of the "protrusion" fit neatly on top of each other. The excess is cut off with a knife.

Step 10 The outer corner should also be drawn up correctly. The skirting board is heated again by the hairdryer. Next, the material is gently folded onto another wall. The joint is worked out with a spatula.

Installation subtleties

If PVC installation or a polyurethane skirting board is made using a mounting strip or clips, then the fasteners are simply fixed with self-tapping screws and dowels at the same height along the wall. The plinth heats up in water, and then simply snaps onto the fasteners. When the material cools, the baseboard will become denser. It is advisable to start all work from the corner of the room.

If the installation is carried out with the help of glue, then it is impossible to save on the adhesive composition. You should choose the highest quality solution. And, by the way, it is not applied to the floor surface, especially if a laminate or parquet is laid.

Advice! Some additionally fix the plinth not with self-tapping screws, but with furniture nails that do not have hats. However, be sure to treat the places of their clogging with sealant.

Interestingly, on not excessively curved surfaces, you can also use a regular polymer skirting board. How to bend it, you can see in the video below.

Video - How to bend a regular skirting board

Flexible plinth is a real salvation for apartments with an unusual layout. It will make repairs neat and complete. And all thanks to the fact that the plinth bends perfectly. Not a single (even the highest quality) polymer plinth can ever be bent on its own in the same way as a flexible plinth is bent. And this is the main advantage.

Nowadays it is quite difficult to imagine that quality repair was made without the use of a ceiling plinth or, as it is called in another way, fillets. The main thing is to know how to bend ceiling plinth right. The fillet is needed in order to flawlessly hide all the irregularities made during the repair, on the border of the wall and ceiling, in order to give the interior some kind of completeness, as well as round the room. Psychologists have long proved the fact that sharp corners on an unconscious level are associated with aggression in a person and lead to the fact that a person simply feels uncomfortable. But the rounded corners, quite the contrary, embody comfort and a sense of security.

An important element of their design are skirting boards, which can be decorated in various ways.

Types of ceiling plinths

  1. From polystyrene - the relief is clearly expressed, the surface is even and matte, it bends hard, breaks.
  2. Made of polyurethane - great flexibility and strength, resistant to various fluctuations in temperature and moisture. Well suited for finishing rooms with high humidity, such as baths or swimming pools, it bends easily.
  3. PVC borders are one of the most economical options. They can be produced with different color processing and patterns on the surface. This baguette bends easily and is easy to install.
  4. Made of wood - more expensive than previous baguettes, but they are famous for their durability, aesthetics, strength and environmental friendliness.
  5. Gypsum stucco is a very plastic material; real works of art in the field of decoration are possible.

Any repair in different types rooms ends with the installation of skirting boards. With the help of these decorative products, the room acquires a finished and harmonious look. Previously, only wooden products were used as skirting boards, but they are relevant only for rectangular or square rooms. IN modern apartments they are already abandoning boring straight lines, which means that wooden products are not applicable in such cases. But there is a solution - this is a flexible skirting board for the floor.

Goals and tasks that a flexible novelty solves

As soon as straight walls and ceilings were abandoned in construction and design, and columns and other decorative architectural elements with a curvilinear section began to be mounted, the question of skirting boards for these structures immediately arose.

Previously, do-it-yourselfers bent drywall fragments, used plastic inserts, there were even attempts to imitate plywood skirting boards. Special constructions were made from gypsum.

The need for flexible products is clear. Most of the skirting boards on the market are not so easy to use with semi-circular or curved walls. This primarily applies to dense materials such as ceramics or laminate. In this case, gaps will remain, which, from the point of view of aesthetics, are better hidden. The plinth also perfectly hides the edges of the wallpaper unevenly cut during gluing. It will not allow dust and debris to penetrate into the joint between the wall and the floor.

The floor plinth for the column is very difficult to make from pieces. In appearance, such a design will not be very attractive, and besides, it will not be possible to make an integral system. Just a couple of light mechanical effects are enough for the whole structure to lose its already unimportant appearance, or even completely crumble. With the help of a flexible skirting board for the floor, you can solve all these problems as efficiently as possible.

Varieties

The modern construction market offers several types of these flexible products. Depending on the materials, all products can be divided into plastic skirting boards, cork and liquid products.

IN ideal a rubber skirting board would perfectly cope with all the tasks. But the strength characteristics of rubber cannot meet the requirements that today apply to skirting boards.

Plastic products

This docking product serves for finishing, as well as the transition from horizontal to vertical surfaces. It perfectly retains its shape for a long time. Chemists have developed an ideal formula that can solve all problems.

Often, such skirting boards are designed for use on bends of small radii. At the heart of the U-shaped part and a decorative bar.

In order for the skirting board to be truly flexible, manufacturers recommend first placing it in water heated to 60-70 degrees. At this temperature, polymers can increase their plasticity characteristics.

Installation work should begin with the installation and fixing of the base. Mounting holes must be made on the base. During installation, the base is distributed around the entire perimeter of the room. If necessary, the material is cut to suitable measurements. Then, through the mounting holes on the baseboard, mark the holes on the wall. The distance from the floor to the center of the hole should be at least 2 cm. Then, using a perforator, holes are made in the wall with a drill with a diameter of 6 mm. Plastic dowels are installed in the holes obtained. Then, the base is laid out and fixed with self-tapping screws.

flexible decorative item after the performed operations are installed on the bar. Ideally, the lower edge of the decorative part should fit very tightly and without gaps to the floor plane. After the decorative element has completely cooled down, it will gain the strength necessary for reliable operation.

Plastic plinth with cable channel

This product is considered one of the most popular. This product is versatile and offered at an affordable price.

This solution is distinguished by the flexibility of the strips, ease of installation, as well as low weight. The profile allows you to press it against any wall very tightly. Despite the flexibility, the product has enough high performance strength and durability. In addition, the product is moisture resistant, resistant to ultraviolet radiation, temperature extremes. The profile is non-toxic and completely safe for humans, and does not burn. There is no need for pretreatment to use this product. Another advantage is a wide range of colors for any materials.

The presence of a cable channel allows you to covertly lay any cables and wires. Maintaining your profile is very easy.

The main part of the structure is the cable channel. It has enough space for laying even fairly thick cables. This part of the profile is attached to the wall. After laying, the channel can be closed with a special decorative panel. Installation of the profile is carried out using self-tapping screws, on a mounting bracket, or glue.

The disadvantage of this plinth is the need to purchase accessories. These are external as well as internal corners, side plugs, connecting elements for docking. Front installation work you need to calculate the angles very accurately. Without these elements, installation will not be possible.

Cork plinth - a gift from India itself

Flexible skirting boards for the floor can be made not only from polymers, but also from natural materials. important and undeniable advantage of these products - their environmental friendliness. It is now highly valued in the world.

Previously, the cork was supplied from India. Today it is produced in other countries. A plinth from it will be an excellent addition to embossed or cork wallpaper.

Skirting boards can be veneered. In this case, a thick layer of natural and expensive wood veneer is applied to the base. This technology is in many ways similar to the production of plywood, but cork products are more environmentally friendly.

Also, these skirting boards withstand wear and mechanical stress, are not afraid of moisture. It is believed that cork has excellent soundproofing characteristics, but in relation to skirting boards, it is difficult to say something about this.

Cork is very easy to work with. It is easy to cut and sticks to any wall covering without problems and difficulties. The material itself is very light and differs good performance by adhesion. To work with such skirting boards, you can use any quick-drying adhesives.

Veneered plinth can be coated with a layer of varnish or stain. The result is a very effective and visually attractive element, similar to expensive wood.

Installation is very different from installing a plastic product. Before fixing, it is recommended to cover it with varnish. For installation, as already noted, any glue is suitable. You can even use liquid nails.

Glue must be distributed on the flexible product from the inside. Then the part is pressed tightly against the wall, and the lower edge should rest against the floor. After that, the product is removed, and after a few minutes they are finally pressed against the wall. In order to avoid the formation of cracks, the upper edge can be pressed with adhesive tape.

Softwood skirting boards

Technologies are constantly developing and those materials that used to be exceptionally hard are now acquiring flexibility and plasticity. It's all about liquid baseboards.

The production of such a product is quite complicated; solid wood species act as materials. This is mainly oak, ash and other species. Under the influence of special chemical reagents cellulose turns into a jelly-like consistency. In this case, the color is completely preserved. Under the influence of oxygen, the necessary hardness is acquired, and the plinth is sold in vacuum packages.

The installation technology will not cause difficulties, however, it requires special care and attention. First of all, manufacturers recommend laying out the product packaging on the surface along the walls. Then the packages are opened in turn, and the mass is laid out in places where the floor connects to the wall. The consistency of the product will initially be similar to rubber, but then the product will harden and take on its final form.

Polyurethane profiles

Polyurethane flexible profile or Rico Flex is a decorative floor element that will complete any room.

Technical characteristics generally depend on the composition. But the polyurethane profile is characterized by low weight, high flexibility and ease of installation, durability, and easy maintenance. It can also be dyed any color.

Installation of a flexible skirting board for the floor starts from any angle. The profiles must be cut at an angle of 45°. Before installation, you need to make sure that the docking is accurate. Installation is greatly facilitated by flexibility - you can tightly attach the product even to very uneven walls. Self-tapping screws are not used for fastening - installation is carried out only on glue. Any high-quality glue will do, but most skirting board manufacturers also produce adhesives.

Using a gun, the adhesive mixture is applied to the back of the product in continuous strips. When the plinth is installed, a little glue is also applied to the joint. Then the profile is pressed against the surface, then removed and the glue is allowed to dry. After that, the plinth is pressed completely. Excess adhesive must be removed immediately. Gluing the profile is allowed only on the wall, but not on the floor.

More and more modern repair departs from the standards. The simple urban style is being replaced by more elegant and flexible design solutions. Straight lines are replaced by curvilinear, smooth, rounded shapes, so there is a need for new technologies for interior decoration.

Facing materials can be very different, but it is difficult to imagine a renovated space without skirting boards; this finishing element is, without a doubt, indispensable in any interior. In the article we will tell you what a flexible floor and ceiling plinth is, and how to bend a plinth from different materials with your own hands.

Flexible ceiling plinth allows you to finish complex rounded shapes

Opportunities

It should be noted that the market of finishing materials quickly responds to the needs of modern repair. Now on sale different models bending skirting boards, and if the polystyrene strips are very fragile and almost do not bend, then the polyurethane profile with the addition of rubber is very flexible and plastic.

The best solution to finish a complex curvilinear area with many roundings are soft, flexible skirting boards. Usually it is a vinyl or flexible polyurethane baseboard with a high percentage of rubber. The profile is very flexible and is sold in rolls, it is easy for them to go around both the outer and inner radius corners.

For example, flexible floor skirting boards are used in rooms with complex shapes, for arches, columns, rounded podiums, etc., and flexible ceiling skirting boards are used to finish curved plasterboard structures or tension systems.

In addition to flexible models, a wide range of curved plinths with different diameters and from different materials is available for sale. As a rule, these are wooden and polyurethane segments for a round corner or column.

Flexible, semi-circular self-adhesive vinyl skirting, easy to cut and bend to any radius

How to bend the plinth with your own hands

In spite of huge selection soft, flexible and radius profiles, it is not always advisable to use them. As a rule, sometimes it is easier to bend a regular bending skirting board. Plastic, cork, MDF and wooden skirting boards can be easily bent into smooth semicircular curves.

But in order to bend them along the radius of a small circle, you should know the secrets of technology. Since the physical and chemical properties of materials vary significantly, hence the approach to the process of how to round the baseboard is very different.

Flexible polyurethane floor plinth allows you to easily go around semicircular surfaces with a gentle radius

So a flexible floor plinth made of composite plastic can be easily bent in a semicircle using a household hair dryer with a power of 1 kW or more. It is enough to heat the profile in the right place, and gently round it to fit the shape of a semicircular wall. It should be noted that the plastic bending composite plinth with wood-chip filling is difficult to distinguish from the veneered profile, so it is ideal for interiors with natural wood floors.

To bend a plastic plinth with a cable channel onto a flat semicircular surface, you will need to cut off all the stiffeners, leaving only the decorative layer intact. Further, in order for the molding to become flexible, it is heated with a building hair dryer, and gently bent at the installation site, grab the whip during the process so that it “remembers” the required round shape.

Advice: In order not to hurt decorative coating, and do not spoil the structure of the plastic, do not bring the hair dryer close to the profile, do not hold it at one point, but drive back and forth, at a distance of approximately 300 mm from the whip, so the heating will be uniform.

Cork flexible plinth floor can be easily bent, but small round shapes will have to be bent around with steam

If the profile is not flexible enough and it is required to go around semicircular shapes with wood, foam, MDF, and some polyurethane models, then in this case it is necessary to format the fillet. To do this, transverse cuts are made from the wrong side, almost in profile, leaving only the front layer of 3-5 mm intact. Slots are best done with a hacksaw with a thick blade, every 5-7 mm.

Formatting flexible PVC profile

When profile formatting does not help, a radical method will have to be used to go around the surface. The non-flexible skirting board is cut into small pieces and each piece is individually fitted to the round wall. But this method of manufacturing a semicircular shape requires serious skills, so it is very difficult to install such a rounded segment on your own.

As a rule, the joining of several separate parts is used if the interior has a wide polystyrene ceiling plinth for a round wall. After finishing, the bent section is carefully puttied, and the plinth is painted in several layers, so the joints become invisible.

The photo shows how to finish a rounded surface with an inflexible whip.

How to make a curved segment from wood

Solid wood plinth is usually bent with steam. It is necessary to measure the round section, and cut right size profile with a margin of 50-75 mm on each side. Next, a large pot of water is placed on the stove, brought to a boil, when the steam becomes intense, a cut plinth is attached on top.

Depending on the type of wood, pine, for example, is more flexible, it takes 30-60 minutes to steam the profile, saying the words: “I’m twisting, I’m tormenting, I want to bend the profile!” When the profile is well saturated with steam, it is applied at the place of fixation, and bent along the desired radius. In order for the tree to take the desired shape, it should be fixed in several places. But this method can easily lead to deformation of the plinth after drying.

Curved wooden profile in the interior

In order to correctly bend a wooden whip in a semicircle, professionals make a special pattern, then make a template on it. The steamed whip is fixed on it with clamps, metal point and tape, so the bent semicircular shape is more even and accurate. Before making the plinth in a semicircle, it is recommended to impregnate the wrong side with PVA glue so that after drying the bent segment better retains its semicircular shape.

We have also prepared a video for you on how to bend a plastic plinth with your own hands in a semicircle. We hope our advice will help you in the repair, remember, pledge beautiful interior- accuracy and creativity to the process.

When installing skirting House master sometimes faces the following problem: how to bend a skirting board to finish a curved surface? With a rigid plinth, this is almost impossible to achieve.

PVC skirting board, although it is considered flexible, is not so easy to bend without pre-treatment - there is a risk of breaking the product. Next, consider how to bend a PVC skirting board.

Necessary tools and materials for work:

  • large pot of water
  • rope, twine or cord;
  • wooden bars;
  • nails, hammer.

Work performance technology

Before, it should be steamed and heated to + 70 ° C.

  • Pour water into a large saucepan and put it on fire, bring the water to a boil.
  • We will hang the plinth over a jet of steam, so it will heat up and steam for at least 20-30 minutes.
  • After the plinth has steamed out, you can already begin to bend it using one of the following methods:
  1. We hang the plinth horizontally, fixing it in the middle, we tie a load to its edges, which will give the plinth the desired shape
  2. On a certain plane, we draw a line corresponding to the desired shape of the plinth, along it we nail several wooden bars. Thus, we get a certain curvilinear shape. Then we insert the steamed plinth between the bars and securely fix it.
  3. We give the baseboard the opportunity to dry and cool, after which it will become hard.

Alternative ways

  • , flexible.
  • Soft molding and plinth tape made of PVC.
  • Flexible plinth floor made of cork, semicircular, bent.

Flexible polyurethane plinth has an optimal combination of price and quality, it is used quite often. Skirting tape is relatively inexpensive, but it is capricious in installation and not every type of glue is suitable for it. It is often used in the bathroom. Flexible floor plinth made of cork is the most expensive of these three types, but the naturalness of the material and excellent appearance speak in its favor.

Flexible plinth, floor, cork
