How to make a brick barbecue with your own hands. We build a simple brazier from bricks with our own hands

Private and facing stone from baked clay is a universal structural material. Therefore, a simple brick brazier can be built even without mortar on hastily. A stationary hearth made of this material is considered simple if there is no chimney in its design.

Clay and ceramic bricks withstand extreme temperatures, but they have a much smaller resource in furnaces and hearths than refractory fireclay. Therefore, the simplest temporary barbecues are made of ordinary bricks, and in stationary hearths of a simple design, the inside of the firebox can be lined with fireclay lining.

Even if legs made of the same material are added to a rectangular brick box, the structure will still remain a brazier. As soon as the master covers the firebox with a roof, it will automatically turn into a barbecue oven, although without a chimney, but with a hole for removing combustion products.

"Marching"

From a few bricks accidentally found or specially taken for a country picnic, you get the simplest hearth for frying meat on skewers over coals. In this case, it is necessary to take into account the nuances:

  • brick has standard sizes 25 x 12.5 x 6 cm, to save building materials and space in the trunk of a car, it should be installed on edge;
  • for normal frying of meat without burning, the skewers should be 20–25 cm away from the coals, so at least 2 rows of bricks are required;
  • the width of the brick "box" is taken for standard skewers 37 cm, that is, 1 brick;
  • the length of the brazier for a small company is 75 cm, that is, 3 bricks.

We just took a few bricks and made such a super fast construction on the spot, according to this drawing!

Thus, in total, a minimum of 16 bricks of a standard format will be needed. Each of them weighs 3.5 kg, for a total of 56 kg minimum. The manufacturing technology of the hearth is as follows:

After the coals have cooled, the structure is disassembled, the turf is laid in place.

Classic barbecue

For a stationary hearth on the site, you will need a base made of non-metallic material (sand or crushed stone), compacted with a vibrating plate or manual rammer. If the weight of the structure exceeds 450 kg, a monolithic reinforced concrete foundation will be required. For home master, with minimal bricklayer skills, a do-it-yourself brazier made of bricks is more suitable, the simplest and most inexpensive in the bottom photo in the form of a rectangular box.
Manufacturing technology is as follows:

You can make it the cheapest stationary barbecue-B-B-Q

The main nuances for this modification of the focus are:

  • no ordering scheme is needed, since it is impossible to make a mistake in this case;
  • the bottom row (called a hearth in furnaces) is necessary to prevent the destruction of concrete from extreme temperatures, it is recommended to lay out refractory bricks;
  • waterproofing is needed to prevent the destruction of the concrete foundation and masonry from soil moisture (not to be confused with groundwater!), It is made from rolled bituminous materials, pieces of which are placed under the foundation before it is poured or the first row on the base of non-metallic material.

Don't forget to waterproof under the bottom row

All other designs of brick barbecues are more complicated, so ordering is required. But they are more convenient to use. Here are some more photos where you can see other interesting options:

Option with firewood

Well, and a video on how to do masonry in general:

BBQ oven

Unlike a classic brazier, a barbecue simplifies the preparation of meat by placing it on a grill, and not on skewers. A simple budget barbecue grill made of bricks is being built according to the technology:

The scheme of the finished budget brick barbecue

Attention: A brazier with a drawer for ash and a grate above it for placing coals is considered more convenient to maintain.

The specified design is slightly different from the described option:

  • after making the legs under the back and side walls of the brazier on the spoon row, the brick of the next level is laid with a poke (only side walls);
  • then one more spoon and tychkovy rows are laid out.

bogie

On the resulting lower ledge is a metal drawer for ash. A grate for coals is laid on the upper ledge. If you make another ledge in the same way, you get a convenient dryer for berries and mushrooms.

Well, and a detailed video, for clarity:

Without mortar

If there is a brick remaining from the construction site on the site, you can build an inexpensive temporary barbecue from it, as soon as you see suddenly arrived guests. The main nuances of manufacturing are:

  • without mortar, half-brick legs are too unstable, so it is better to replace them with 4 pedestals (columns) 1 x 1 brick with dressing in order;
  • instead of a sheet of iron, you can use a piece of any sheet material(OSB, plywood), but, above it, it is necessary to lay 2 continuous rows of bricks;
  • the height of the barbecue box is 2 - 3 rows, the dimensions are at the discretion of the home master.

We fold in haste without a solution

Attention: The construction is considered to be temporary "in haste", the brick stained with coals and ash is difficult to wash, so it is better to use an ordinary, rather than a facing stone.

For detailed instructions, see the video:

Enough attractive barbecue grill original design is a variant of several rows of bricks without mortar in the form of a round pedestal.

This can be quickly built simply from what is at hand.

Additional elements for simple barbecues

When adding additional functions of a stationary hearth to the design, you will need to make freehand drawings or sketches for it. Since the hearth will turn out to be more difficult, errors are possible during the construction of the masonry. The main additional elements for a simple barbecue are: a cutting table, a brazier and a sink.

Cutting table

An inexpensive option that significantly increases the comfort of use is the simplest do-it-yourself brick brazier with a cutting table according to the technology:

  • the posterior wall lengthens, ligation with the central wall-rack becomes more difficult;
  • in addition to the above structures, on the side, close to the masonry of the hearth, another rack wall is being built;
  • a countertop made of natural / artificial stone is laid on it and the side wall of the brazier.

The cutting table can be located on any side convenient for the user, relative to the hearth.

Stove-brazier

In addition to meat on skewers, or a barbecue grill, it is often necessary to prepare other dishes in pots, pans, heating or boiling a kettle. Therefore, instead of a cutting table, a place is allocated for a brazier.

To do this, you must perform the following operations:

  • lengthen the structure starting from the bottom row;
  • make a front wall with a door for the combustion chamber;
  • equip the hob with concentric cast iron rings to adjust the power of the stove.

The top photo shows a barbecue diagram with hob the simplest type.

Washing

To equip the brazier with a sink, it is enough to mount a stove with a slot for the sink instead of a regular countertop, connect the water supply or increase the height of the rear stack and hang a washstand on it, as in the bottom photo.

The layout of the cold water supply (cold water supply) section is much more complicated than the collection of water in the washstand. Even during seasonal operation, it will be necessary to drain the liquid for the winter, to preserve the system.

Thus, the structural material brick is suitable for the manufacture of braziers in haste in the field and on suburban area. When laying on a solution, you can increase the functionality of the simplest barbecues by washing, countertops, hob or something else that you find necessary and convenient when working. Here it is important to give free rein to your imagination and not be afraid, you will definitely succeed!

A brick barbecue grill is a stationary building where barbecue, vegetables, fish and other food are cooked outdoors. Cooking takes place with the help of hot smoke and heat coming from an open fire.

Unlike collapsible metal structures, a brick brazier is a solid structure that has been used for years. It can serve as an alternative to the stove and smokehouse. On a suburban area, he can also be original decoration territory.

We will tell you how do-it-yourself brick barbecues are built (drawings, photos, orders at the end of the article).

How to make a brick brazier in the country

Decided to build a street barbecue made of bricks with your own hands? There are a huge number of photos of designs of barbecues, schemes, orders. How to choose suitable option?

There are home-made barbecues made of bricks with and without a roof. Garden barbecue without a roof is a brazier of various heights.

Simple design, not requiring special costs and effort during construction, but during the rain it will not work to use the barbecue.

The presence of a roof implies the presence of a chimney, which is covered with a visor from precipitation. This brazier looks like a fireplace.

Closed braziers are solid street structures, they are often completed additional elements. It could be grill grate, oven-oven, cauldron. Brazier with a place for a cauldron can be used for cooking pilaf Or to warm up food. If the cauldron is removed, a full-fledged brazier remains. If the hole for the cauldron is closed with rings, you can put any dishes on them, like on a stove. The structure can be added niches for firewood, coals and utensils.

What elements will be included and how to make a country brazier out of brick so that it suits you is determined at the design stage, based on the planned dimensions, how much food will be cooked in the brazier simultaneously, and what types of food will be prepared on it.

We design a brick brazier

Building order - expensive pleasure, but with minimal masonry skills, you can freely build a brick brazier with your own hands. What elements will be needed (a cauldron, a place to heat food, a grill grate, a smokehouse) should be thought out in advance. There are many drawings. Below is an example of building a simple closed barbecue with a pipe.

ATTENTION! We strongly recommend that you take the design seriously. Many summer residents build brick barbecues with their own hands, while they do not use drawings. As a result, the design at best turns into a flower bed. Since it is not possible to use a home-made brazier made of bricks for its intended purpose. Uncomfortable.

When choosing or drafting a project, one should proceed from the dimensions of the future building. They depend on plot size. It is worth remembering that the land occupied by the barbecue, will no longer be used for other purposes.. The size of the firebox will depend on how much food will be cooked in the grill at the same time.

Projects of brick barbecues: drawings, photos

Peculiarities: the length of the firebox should not exceed 1 m - this is enough for 8-10 skewers at the same time. The width should be consistent with the length of a standard skewer - 47-62 cm. The height of the frying platform, ideally, is just above the waist of the one who will cook.

Since the stationary barbecue often becomes the central decorative element of the site, this should be taken into account when designing and choosing a location. Its reverse side looks like a solid brick wall, so it is advisable to position the structure so that it was not visible from the back.. Or provide for its decoration, taking into account fire safety.

Choosing a place for the barbecue

A barbecue area is also a place to relax. Nobody wants to build a stationary brick brazier with their own hands so that it is not convenient to use it. When choosing where to place it, be sure to consider a number of points:

  • proximity to the place of rest- not far from the gazebo, summer kitchen or shed with benches and a table;
  • level ground, specially equipped;
  • obligatory convenient approach, ideally several;
  • proximity to a water source(often a water supply system is connected to the barbecue and a sink is equipped. In this case, water will have to be drained from the system in the winter to avoid cracking pipes);
  • weather protection(canopy), sometimes they equip a brazier and a place of rest under one canopy;
  • sufficient distance from trees, flower beds and beds- from high temperatures, the plants will wither and may die;
  • sufficient distance from garbage containers and toilets;
  • Direction of the wind(if it is unchanged, place the barbecue so that the smoke is not blown towards the dwelling, but towards the wasteland).

Important! The brazier is a fire hazardous object. It should be located in the garden far enough from the house, flammable wooden buildings, platforms for cars.

Tools and materials

Before you build a brick brazier in the country, you need a ready-made or pre-made project independently calculate the required amount of materials.

This is necessary in order not to face a shortage of them or, conversely, excessive remaining surpluses. Based on the quantities of material calculated for the project, an estimate is drawn up.

The calculation is done so that the material is with a small margin. Of the tools you will need:

  • shovel;
  • trough or a concrete mixer;
  • buckets for solution;
  • Master OK;
  • level, plumb line;
  • circular saw but.
  • fireclay (furnace) brick, which can withstand temperature changes without cracking;

Expendable materials:

  • foundation material(rubble stone, cement, sand, crushed stone, boards or smooth plywood for formwork);
  • reinforcing mesh ;
  • iron sheet;
  • metal gratings, latches, corners, doors.

If the brazier is designed with niches and a work area, you will additionally need stone tabletop. As a masonry mortar, a mixture of clay and sand is usually taken, at least for the firebox.

The cement slurry will quickly break down and crack when exposed to high temperatures(can reach 1000 ° C in the furnace) and temperature differences. Clay must first soak for a few days. Clay and building mixtures with it are offered in hardware stores.

Reference: refractory material is required for laying out a firebox that is in direct contact with fire. In order to save money, for the construction of a basement and elements that are not exposed to open flames and high temperatures, you can take an ordinary brick - incl. remaining from the dismantling of any structures, cleaned of the remnants of the solution.

A simple do-it-yourself brick brazier: step by step instructions

As an example, step by step, in the do-it-yourself format, we will analyze how to build a brazier with your own hands from brick, the easiest option. The only complication that our simple brick brazier will have (photo of the proposed option below) is a pipe. We consider pipe laying necessary in Russian conditions. Building! Below is the building diagram.

Foundation for barbecue

The first stage of construction is pouring the foundation. A hole is dug deep for him. 30 cm and the size that 20-30 cm exceeds the size of the future structure. The walls and bottom are leveled, rammed. A pillow of sand and gravel is laid out at the bottom. Layers are laid alternately, each subsequent must be moistened and compacted. Cushion thickness - 15 cm.

Before pouring, a formwork is installed that protrudes above the ground by 10 cm. Placed at the bottom of the pit reinforcing mesh and filled with cement mortar. At the final stage, the foundation should be leveled with level. Complete hardening of concrete occurs 3-4 weeks, i.e. wait before proceeding with construction 28 days. For uniform setting in hot, dry weather, the surface of the concrete should be moistened periodically.

Clay is diluted with sand in the ratio 1:1 . The consistency of the solution should be like that of thick sour cream. It should be easy to take with your hands, without spreading. If a small amount of clay solution with sand easily rolls into a bundle with a diameter 1 cm, without cracking, spreading and without losing shape, then the quality of the solution is good.

While the foundation is solidifying, clay mortar should be taken care of in advance. G line soaked in water for a week and stir occasionally, adding water if necessary. Clay and clay masonry mortar are sold in hardware stores. We supply electricity while filling, before laying out the brazier of bricks. With our own hands we derive contacts for connection.

Waterproofing is laid on a completely hardened foundation - polyethylene folded several times, a layer of roofing material or other bituminous material. Country barbecues are built in compliance with the standard rules of brickwork. The brick is recommended to be poured with water the day before laying or lowered into it for 20-30 seconds immediately before laying. Then it will not take moisture from the clay, and the grip will be better.

Ordering: how to fold a brick brazier

Despite the fact that we are dismantling a brick street brazier that is easy to build, the brick laying order (scheme) is drawn up in advance, taking into account the selected dimensions and configuration. It is most convenient to do this on a sheet in a cage.

How to lay a brick? The easiest installation method is with an offset of each row by half a brick in relation to the previous one. The first two rows are laid out solid. The very first row is made up of solid bricks, without halves.

Bottom part brazier is a plinth. Masonry scheme - from the corners to the center along pre-planned lines. Every 3 rows it is necessary to check the correct laying level and plumb, lay out the mesh for reinforcement.

The height of the plinth depends on the project. It may have one or more niches where firewood, coal and other utensils are stored. It is laid out in a continuous masonry.

The central part of the structure is the firebox. The base for the brazier in advance cast from concrete with reinforcement or laid out of brick. If arches for the firebox and niches are constructed according to the project, the circled. To evenly distribute the bricks, chips are inserted between them.

The gaps are about the same. 1 cm. Only after the arch is fully laid out, the space between the bricks is wetted and filled with mortar. The laid out arch is left to harden with a circle on day or two.

If the brazier will also be used as a barbecue, you should in advance take care of the opportunity lattice installations. A small protrusion is left for her, or several ledges so that the grid can be placed at different levels. Install it on the reinforcement bars embedded in the walls of the brazier.

Advice: if you leave small gaps between the bricks when laying the firebox, when using the brazier in the future, thanks to the air penetrating into the cracks, combustion will be better.

The brazier is laid on metal corners, which are attached to the masonry with pins. Keep this in mind when assembling a country brazier made of bricks with your own hands (photo of a correctly folded firebox below).

Important! It is unacceptable for atmospheric precipitation to enter the unfinished brickwork. If it starts to rain, it must be carefully covered with polyethylene.

The last stage is the construction of the chimney. Its presence allows you to keep the heat in the grill longer and remove the smoke. For the chimney, the masonry continues to be laid out, gradually narrowing it upwards. This is done by shifting bricks in rows. The shift is made no more than a third of a brick Otherwise, the structure may become unstable.

Peculiarity: the pipe is the heavy part and requires support columns to install it.

If laying out a brick pipe seems too complicated, you can install a metal one. At the end of the masonry, it is necessary to fire the walls of the firebox. To do this, kindle firewood in the hearth and increase the heat to the maximum.

The construction of the brazier, the installation of a cauldron or pallet are carried out at the final stage. After that, decoration is carried out. If there is a countertop, it can be decorated with a slab of porcelain stoneware. The brazier itself is veneered plaster, decorative stone , facing tiles, etc.

A stove or barbecue in a suburban area is most often made of brick. This is due to the fact that masonry does not require special knowledge and experience, unlike working with metal. It is enough to know some of the nuances. In addition, self-construction of the structure, allows you to save a significant amount of money.

First you need to choose a suitable place for a stationary structure. There should not be large plantings and buildings nearby to avoid a fire. The site should not be strongly blown by wind currents.

Consider the example of building a furnace, the length of which is 6 ceramic bricks. To make a foundation, you need to dig a hole 30 cm deep, and the width should be 10 cm more than the length of the future building.

Fix the formwork around the perimeter edged board. After backfilling the pit with sand and gravel, everything must be carefully compacted, while pouring water.

At the next stage, the base must be poured with a solution prepared from two bags of cement.

After about a couple of weeks, the mixture will dry and it will be possible to lay a layer of waterproofing. For this fit ruberoid. The next layer will be one row of masonry, which is also filled with mortar.

The first two rows must be laid out in a solid rectangle to avoid overheating of the roofing material. All corners must be leveled with a building level. Excess solution should be removed immediately.

During the laying out of the third row, the volume and place for the furnace are formed.

For the barbecue, you must definitely make a blower. For this, a material construction is used that can easily withstand temperature changes. As shown in the picture, an old oven monobloc is used.

A thermal gap must be left between the doors and the masonry, since the metal expands during heating.

It should be noted that the height of the hob depends on the size of the door, but 84 cm is considered optimal.

In order for heat to pass into the brazier, you need to leave a gap of two bricks. In addition, this will make it easier to shovel coals.

Thanks to the correct masonry, it is possible to achieve reliable fixation of the door. For the woodcutter, you need to make a separate wall.

To improve the aesthetic appearance, it is better to use brick quarters for the top of the firewood shed. The door is fastened with wire, which is fastened with bricks.

After that, you need to make a woodcutter arch and a roof. As a support, another wall needs to be made inside it. A firebox is made from the lower part, after which a hearth is erected with the help of vetonite.

In the center, be sure to leave a little space for installing the grate.

All seams need to be smeared cement mortar and continue building the walls of the firebox to a certain height. Then close the seams.

The woodshed is covered with a galvanized sheet.

Then you need to continue laying out the back wall, as well as lay out a couple of rows of the future firewood arch. As a result, the design is already beginning to resemble a real barbecue.

Make six exits for smoke from the firebox.

At the next stage, you need to block the firebox with a flooring.

Lay a heat-insulating layer on top of the firebox, after which the hob.

At the last stage, you need to build a chimney. To do this, bricks are simply laid out sequentially.

Before using the brazier with a stove, you need to wait until the structure is completely dry. After that, you can start to kindle a fire. I hope this detailed instructions will allow you to quickly and easily build such a structure.

Stand for a cauldron. How to DIY

Even with minimal knowledge of the brick tab, you can independently make a stand for a cauldron. First you need to decide on the size of the furnace. The design must have a place to store wooden firewood. The walls of the furnace are built of refractory bricks. The grate providing air flow is installed horizontally. Under them should be an ash pan.

Since the height of the structure will not exceed 90 cm, it has a small weight. Therefore, for the base, it is enough to simply pour a layer of concrete up to 12 cm thick, and additionally strengthen it with reinforced rods.

During masonry, all rows must be checked with a building level.

After the dimensions are determined, you can begin to lay out the first row along the stretched cord. You need to start laying the layer with a whole brick, after which the rows alternate with halves. This allows you to achieve a beautiful picture.

To achieve a spherical focus, you need to use halves that are cut at a certain angle. The ash pan door is fixed at the bottom.

In order not to spoil the appearance of the structure, all seams must be overwritten. In addition, it will not allow gases to escape to the outside.

The ash pan door is closed by the third row, after which you need to make a grate and start forming the firebox. During the laying of the 5th row, the firebox door is attached. With the help of the next two rows, an oven is made.

On the eleventh row, it is imperative to make a hole for air circulation. A metal surface for a cauldron is installed on the finishing masonry.

Before using the oven, it must be completely dry. If necessary, the structure can be finished with refractory tiles.

Do-it-yourself stove under the cauldron. 1 more option

As noted above, a solid foundation does not need to be prepared for the furnace. It is enough to pour concrete and reinforce with reinforcement bars. To do this, you need to prepare the place, clean it from pollution. Make formwork from the board. Then prepare the solution and pour it with a layer of 10 cm. Lay out the reinforcement.

To tie the seams, the first row must be laid out from halves, and the second from a whole brick, and alternate in this way.

When laying out the first and second row, you need to leave a small hole for the ash pan. The door is fixed with ordinary wire. In the following orders, you need to continue to build walls and make a grate and a hole for smoke.

The sixth and eighth rows need to block the firebox. Continue to build walls with subsequent orders. At the finishing stage, install the hob with a hole.

Thanks to this instruction, you can quickly and without complications make an oven for a cauldron.

Outdoor complex - do-it-yourself Russian stove and barbecue

After preparing a solid foundation, you should start laying out. For the first row, it is recommended to use burnt brick. The corners are made from ¾ bricks, which are cut with a grinder with a diamond blade. This is necessary for the connection.

From the second row begins the construction of walls. It is also necessary to form an ash pan.

The next row on the left is laid out without mortar. Cleaning doors are attached to the front, and blower with a wire, which is fixed with a solution.

The hearth channels overlap during the laying out of the fourth row.

The grate of a fire chamber is established on the fifth row. It should be noted that the interior is laid out with refractory bricks, without the use of cement mortar.

Then on the left side there will be a water tank. The laying out of the firebox also continues.

The grate is installed on the seventh row. The right wall needs to be reinforced by laying steel strips in the seam.

The next two rows continue with the laying of channels and walls. The walls of the firebox are also attached with wire.

In the process of laying out the tenth row, the vaults of two fireboxes are connected. The bottom of the crucible overlapped.

In the next row, a 3x3 cm metal corner must be fixed in front, and the hob is fixed on top. The first firebox is closed with a grate.

The side walls of the tile, as well as the front walls of the furnace, are laid with refractory bricks. A chimney is formed on the left side.

The next step is to make a wooden arch template. From the thirteenth to the sixteenth row, walls are being erected, and the mouth of the crucible must also be blocked.

The arch of the crucible should narrow, starting from the seventeenth row, but the chimney, on the contrary, should expand. The rear wall is reinforced with a steel tie.

At the next stage, the front wall is laid out, the crucible is closed.

To lay out the arch of the crucible, you need to make a formwork from rectangular frames, semicircular plywood parts will rest on them. The front wall must be reinforced with a coupler.

Cover the crucible with sand and tamp to keep warm.

The next row is to close the furnace and start narrowing the overtube.

In the process of laying out the next two rows, it is necessary to continue narrowing the overtube, and also to form a chimney.

Close the overtube on the twenty-fourth row with a damper.

The next two rows need to gradually connect the overtube with the chimney.

The further number of rows of the chimney depends on the preferences and height of the canopy. A pipe is installed outside.

After installing the pipe outside the roof, you can first flood the finished Russian stove. You can install a mobile barbecue in it and cook kebabs.

On this I completed the review of the manufacture of brick ovens. I think with step-by-step instructions there will be no problems with the construction of the structure.

By the way! By the same principle, you can make a street barbecue. We'll take a closer look at those in future releases.

To do delicious dishes in the country, good option will use a brick barbecue. Do-it-yourself construction is quite simple.

Our article will acquaint you with the principles of operation of a mini oven, you will find out what it can consist of.

Barbecue is the most popular way of cooking outdoors. Similar design similar to a barbecue, has a typical device.

The difference between barbecue and barbecue

Barbecue specialists who have remade a lot of outdoor stoves with their own hands know that the brazier fries food from below due to glowing coals.

The food is not fried on top. Therefore, you have to constantly turn the skewer.

Barbecue is different. Meat is placed on the grate, the grate itself becomes slightly lower than the side walls. This is the whole essence of the work of this design. In a barbecue oven, the tray looks like a solid canvas, without grates.

During the smoldering of coal, food is gradually fried due to reflection from the walls of the oven itself.

The walls of the barbecue are high, due to this, a smoke cap is formed above the products, they are slightly smoked in it, this gives them a special aroma. If you put a piece of tough pork in such an oven, it will become soft and juicy during roasting in the oven.

You might think that the height above the walls of 25 cm does not matter, but this is not so. The culinary process is a delicate matter, food lends itself to the slightest change in temperature.

If you pay attention, you will notice that most picnics in nature or in the country do not do without a barbecue oven, the brazier is not so popular. designs brick oven there are quite a few for barbecue, you can easily choose a convenient option for yourself.

How to build a barbecue yourself?

At first glance, it seems that not simple cooking in a barbecue oven means that the design is complex. However, this is not so, building a stove with your own hands is quite simple.

It is the lovers of country gatherings who build stoves with their own hands. The materials for its construction are always at hand for each owner. Each man held bricks in his hands, which means that building a furnace for him will not be difficult.

First, they put brick walls, then measure the place where the firewood tray will stand, the last step is to install the grate for groceries.

When building a barbecue oven, it is important to think about it. appearance. A beautifully crafted design will be the best decoration for a summer cottage.

Design features

In simple terms, a barbecue oven is the most primitive brickwork. Make it in the form of the letter "P". Such a simple structure will be an excellent option for outdoor cooking.

Skillful builders put fasteners for skewers on the ovens, this greatly facilitates the work when frying meat, you don’t need to hold anything with your hands, just turn it over.

Barbecue Oven Materials

The barbecue oven is assembled from standard red brick, which is always available on the site. It is impossible to coat the layers of brick with ordinary clay; here you need a high-quality cement mortar.

At the end of the construction of such a furnace, a pipe is always removed, it serves as an exhaust hood, a canopy from bad weather and strong winds.

If there is an exhaust hood, such a stove can easily be placed in a gazebo, on an open terrace, acrid smoke will not come from it directly in the face.

Braziers, barbecues - have recently been very popular with absolutely everyone. Who doesn't love eating delicious food outdoors?

Without exception, everyone loves the taste of juicy, roasted meat. It is for such a pleasure that it is worth using all the strength, experience, building a similar oven. You will be proud of your invention, as well as delight your loved ones with new barbecue recipes.

Brick barbecue photo

Many portable devices have been invented for cooking meat on coals.

Mobile barbecues They do their job, but over time they become unusable.

On the garden plots more practical to build barbecue - ovens from brick. Such complexes will last longer, and it is more convenient to cook food in them.

You can build a barbecue oven yourself, you should start by studying the information on this issue. On the Internet, projects of brick barbecue complexes are presented in a variety and with detailed dimensions.

Modules with combustion chambers

Photo 1. Large open-air brick barbecue complex. It's made of bricks in the yard country house and includes several modules.

Furnace complex consists of so-called modules that have a certain functionality.

It can include no more than three modules with combustion chambers:

  • Oven-oven;
  • Oven under the cauldron;
  • Cooking oven;
  • Smokehouse.

This design provides good traction and does not require a significant increase chimney pipes. There can be several modules without combustion chambers.

Barbecue grill - is the central part of the complex, as it requires direct-flow, smoke draft. This is a small structure with a foundation area no more than 1 square meter. Height reaches two meters. The pipe for the complex is calculated individually and depends on the number of modules with combustion chambers.

furnace module- can be with a hob and with a baking chamber. The area of such a furnace is not more than one square meter. The height does not exceed the dimensions of the central module.

Module with smoking cabinet- has a similar design with a baking cabinet. Depending on the required technology, part of the smoke is passed through the smoking chamber.

Modules without combustion chambers. For the convenience of operating the stove barbecue complex, they attach to it sink And countertop. This is a supporting frame made of bricks, on which a horizontal surface is installed.

At self construction barbecues can save you a significant amount of money required to hire professionals. But in addition to saving financial resources, one should be aware of the emerging risks.

For example, about errors in compliance building technology and design. To prevent them, one should responsibly approach the choice of the project and its implementation.

The design should not be complicated, but have the necessary functionality. How easier project, the easier it is to implement. Also, when choosing a project, one should take into account the features of the construction site and operating conditions. It is desirable that there is a clear example of the implementation of the selected furnace.

Another disadvantage of self-construction is the time costs. In the absence of any practice in this area, it will take more time to build a barbecue than with specialists.

Advice. The construction of this complex should begin at the beginning of the warm season.

Stages of construction of an oven barbecue complex

Let us consider successively all the stages that the construction of a barbecue complex includes, no matter what size it is.

Project selection

The construction of a barbecue stove complex begins with the selection of a project. The most popular projects of barbecue complexes of the following options. We draw the reader's attention in advance to the fact that no matter which brick barbecue complex you choose, the laying order attached to the drawing will be very useful in bringing the project to life.

Barbecue-brazier with a stove under the cauldron

This outdoor oven complex consists of two modules with two combustion chambers. Can be made with or without external trim. The complex has size from 1.5 to 2 meters in length. The height starts from two meters without taking into account the pipe. The foundation will require approximately two square meters of area.

The central part of the complex is barbecue grill, and at the edges are located oven under the cauldron And stove with oven. The chimneys of adjacent modules are led into the central chimney. This design has a length at least 2.5 meters. The height of the barbecue complex starts from two meters, excluding the pipe. The area of the foundation is three square meters.

Barbecue, with two ovens, oven, countertop and sink

Such a complex can be built in summer kitchens and capital buildings. The outgoing heat from the stoves is enough to heat a small room.

Body length starts from 3.5 meters. The height reaches two meters without taking into account the pipe. This complex has three combustion chambers and a chimney system similar to the previous project. The foundation requires four square meters. In the center, the design has a barbecue grill and stoves at the edges. Modules with countertop and sink can be positioned at an angle relative to the main body.

If you have chosen such a complex project with many modules and are building a barbecue complex with a smokehouse, barbecue and cauldron, ordering (that is, detailed diagram bricklaying) will not only be useful, but also necessary.

The following stages of construction are considered on the example of the project "Barbecue - a brazier with a stove under a cauldron".

Choosing a place to build a barbecue

The place for the construction of a barbecue complex must meet the following criteria:

  • Around this complex should be hard surface.
  • Must not be flammable objects.
  • Dominant wind direction should not be in the direction of residential facilities and recreation areas.
  • To him should be convenient approach.

The choice of building materials for construction

In order to build a barbecue complex, you will need the following: building materials:

  1. Brick refractory fireclay- the required number of bricks for the barbecue complex - 250-300 pieces.
  2. Brick(preferably clinker) finishing or ordinary - used to build the main structure of the chimney - 300-350 bricks.
  3. Cement brand M-400- used for pouring the foundation, and for mixing the mortar when laying the main structure. You will need approximately 5 bags.
  4. Refractory kiln clay or a special mixture for laying stoves - 2 bags.
  5. river sand- it will be required to backfill the foundation pillow and add clay and cement to the solution. Not less than 0.5 tons of sand.
  6. rubble- for a foundation pillow (construction debris can be broken brick, crushed cobblestone, gravel.) about 1 ton.
  7. Construction mesh- it must be laid in two or three layers when pouring the foundation - 4 square meters.
  8. Ruberoid or roofing - used for waterproofing the foundation and the main structure. In 1 roll 10 square meters and it will be enough.
  9. Boards- for formwork (can be old or slab), the optimal thickness for formwork is 25 millimeters. Need - 2 three-meter boards.
  10. firebox door required for the oven - 1 piece
  11. Ash pan door stoves (grate) - 1 piece.
  12. Chimney valves- 2 pieces.
  13. Grid for combustion chamber(installed on the ash pan) - 1 piece.
  14. hob under the cauldron - 1 piece.

Attention! All of the above components (hardware) must be purchased before starting work, as they are installed during the construction process.

Tool preparation

In order to build oven barbecue complex does not require complex specialized tools. Everything you need can be bought at the hardware store:

  1. Level;
  2. Roulette;
  3. Marking cord;
  4. Plumb;
  5. Shovels bayonet, mortar, shovel;
  6. Trough for solution;
  7. Solution bucket;
  8. Master OK;
  9. Ladle for solution;
  10. Wedge dimensional;
  11. Pliers;
  12. Hammer;
  13. Sledgehammer;
  14. Construction tachanka;
  15. Concrete mixer (you can do without it);
  16. Construction gloves, work gloves.

Foundation

After the material is purchased and the tool is prepared, you can proceed to pouring the foundation.

  1. For marking along the edges of the required area, pegs are driven in, and a marking cord is pulled.
  2. Further required area deepens by 20 centimeters.
  3. Then sand and gravel are poured to the bottom, on top of which a reinforcing mesh is laid.
  4. Crushed stone is rammed, wetted with water and poured with concrete.
  5. The next step is to set ground formwork, in which crushed stone is poured and a building mesh is laid.
  6. Then concrete is poured into the formwork.

Photo 3. Hexagonal foundation. On this basis, you can place a barbecue complex of the original design.

Attention! When installing formwork, inner sides boards are recommended to be laid with a polyethylene film. This will allow you to quickly and accurately separate the boards from the concrete during their dismantling.

After the work done, the foundation should stand about 10-15 days. Then you can start building. You can dismantle the formwork on the third day.

Important! If hot weather prevails during the construction of the foundation, it is necessary to moisten the foundation once or twice a day. cold water. This is done to prevent premature evaporation of moisture.

Bricklaying

Let's take a closer look at how bricklaying is done.

  1. After the foundation has hardened, it is laid a layer of roofing felts or roofing felt. This is done so that the moisture absorbed by the concrete from the ground does not enter the brick structure.
  2. Then the initial row of the base of the structure is laid from clinker brick.
  3. Starting from the second row, it is laid ash pan and place under grate. In the central part of the barbecue, the base of the lower tier is laid out - woodcutter. Ash door and other hardware are installed during construction.
  4. Next, the combustion chamber of the furnace is laid out from refractory brick.
  5. Then the construction of the foundation continues clinker brick, according to the order of the project.

Attention! Between the combustion chamber and the walls of the supporting structure of the furnace, fire-resistant insulation should be laid. Its presence will prevent premature cooling of the furnace and allow the combustion chamber to expand when heated.

  1. Furnace base ends with installation hob under the cauldron Also at this level, partition above the woodshed B-B-Q.
  2. Next, a barbecue combustion chamber is laid out from refractory brick.
  3. Then the rest of the structure is completed from clinker brick. If desired, you can lay out the radius vaults of the woodcutter and the barbecue. This will help keep the heat in and direct it to the center of the firebox. To make the vaults neat, you need to prepare radii templates from the boards and give the bricks a wedge shape. Then fasten the templates with wooden blocks to the sides of the firebox and overlay with cooked bricks. After the mortar has hardened, the template is dismantled.
  4. The last step is laying out pipe.

Important! After the main structure is built, it is recommended to check the draft in the furnace complex. To do this, ignite newsprint in the combustion chambers. This must be done before the solution has had time to gain strength. In this case, if errors are found, it will be possible to disassemble the design for correction.

The oven can be used for approx. after 10 days.

Before use it is desirable melt a few times ovens in "sparing" mode. BUT only then heat with wood to "white coals".
