Old refrigerator turquoise instruction manual. Manual

Operation manual for household freezer MSH-120 "Biryusa-14". The good old Soviet freezer, for some grandmothers it continues to work properly, because they used to do quality things. Quality control department workers, although they received bribes, controlled the quality! What has changed? Either now they simply don’t make quality things, or the quality bar has been lowered, they say, anyway, everywhere is full of cheap Chinese shit, and if you do it with high quality, it will be expensive and no one will buy it.

Even then, they tried to make freezers more comfortable to use, making it possible to rehang the door to the opposite opening, signaling operating modes and adjusting the door opening angle limit. Biryusa is a silver freezer! Only about 2 grams of silver is contained in the contacts of the start-up relay and in the sensor of the temperature relay. If you hand over the household freezer MSH-120 "Biryusa-14" for scrap, then about 4 kg of aluminum will come out. Can the Chinese afford this?

The freezer is not made with a ground wire, so follow the instructions carefully instructions for use. Do not turn on the refrigerator if there is damage to the cord or plug in the power supply. If you feel a tingling sensation when touching the freezer, unplug the power cord immediately and contact your technician for troubleshooting. Do not operate the freezer in areas with high humidity or conductive floors. Household freezer MSH-120 "Biryusa-14" is made in a convenient floor-standing cabinet, which will simplify its operation in the household. The internal volume is divided into compartments.

°°What pleases in the old instruction books for use there must have been circuit diagrams. After you brought it from the store, the freezer should be prepared for successful operation, namely, you need to unscrew the transport bolts and screw the adjusting screws in their place, which is described in detail in the user manual. It is recommended to place the freezer away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Although this appliance is a freezer and is designed to generate cold, when transported to winter time year, before turning it on, it should be kept at room temperature with open door at least 8 hours. If this is not done, then when the cold freezer is turned on, the compressor may jam.

Yes, it turns out that the text of modern user instructions differs significantly from the old ones. instruction manuals. Here is what is written in this old book on the use of the freezer: “Re-hanging is done by the mechanic of the Rembyttekhnika association for a fee.” How cute photoloid!

There are three lights on the case: green, indicating the inclusion of the freezer in the network and red, indicating an increase in temperature in the refrigerator chamber, orange lights up when the freezer is switched to the maximum freezing mode. After 24 hours of operation at maximum freezing, it is recommended to switch the regulator to the “storage” mode.

If your electricity was turned off, it is recommended not to open the door of the MSH-120 Biryusa-14 household freezer, the cold did not come out and the heat did not get inside. Not a long time without work for the products is not scary, they will not have time to melt. Avoid excessive ice buildup on evaporators by removing all food and defrost the freezer. If this is not done, then energy consumption will increase and at the same time the cooling effect will decrease, such a paradox. Defrosting will proceed faster if you put several dishes with hot water and close the door of the freezer of the household MSh-120 "Biryusa-14". Do not try to remove the formed ice on the evaporator with metal objects, otherwise you will make a hole in the evaporator and freezer kirdyk! If the freezer makes rattling sounds during operation, then the reason may be in the wrong installation (not level) or where the pipes touch the refrigerator body.
In stagnant times, this freezer was given a 3 year warranty! In the event of a breakdown, the freezer could be replaced with a new one within those three years. As I wrote above, there are probably several such models that continue to work to this day.

Refrigeration equipment under the Biryusa brand has been manufactured at Krasnoyarsk Plant OJSC since 1963. This enterprise has not sunk into oblivion along with the ruins of the USSR, but continues to work properly. Already 9 years after the launch, the company offered users about 35 models of refrigerators. Even in the 90s, when most enterprises could not stand the collapse of the USSR, the plant in Krasnoyarsk worked and the team received awards for their work. The secret of success in proper organization production, that is, the company tries not to depend on suppliers, this is called vertical integration.

In 1997, the management decided to buy compressor production equipment from the Japanese, which was the right decision. As a result, the company not only paid back the costs, but also began to make a profit from sales. Think for yourself, a Soviet refrigerator with Japanese filling, that is, cheap and cheerful (high quality). The plant now not only provides itself with compressors made on Japanese equipment, but also sells them to other enterprises.

Today, the Biryusa plant produces refrigeration equipment not only for home, but also for offices, taking into account the features of operation. Most of the materials are imported, only 15% are domestic, but even this part is made on equipment from Korea, Italy, Germany and, of course, Japan. In terms of production in Russia, this enterprise is in 2nd place.

In the end operating instructions for the freezer "Biryusa-14" there is a page with a suggestion to leave feedback on the operation of the freezer after the warranty period. Freezer turquoise 14 (msh 120) download instructions.

  • Operate the showcase under the influence of atmospheric precipitation, direct sunlight!
  • Operate the showcase in rooms characterized by high humidity (the ceiling, walls and objects in the room are covered with moisture), as well as in rooms with conductive floors! A showcase is, first of all, an electrical appliance and its use in high humidity may result in a short circuit or electric shock!
  • Use adapters, twins, tees and extension cords to connect the showcase to the electrical network, as they can cause a fire!
  • Touch the compressor during operation, as during operation it heats up to a temperature of 90 ° C!
  • Operate the showcase without a container for defrost water on the compressor, as water entering the compressor relay can lead to a short circuit!
  • Install electric heaters on the showcase, which can cause a fire!
  • Place containers with liquids on the showcase to avoid liquid getting on the showcase's electrical system!
  • Operate the showcase with the fan off!
  • Insert anything into the air circulation opening that could damage the fan!
  • Cover the air circulation opening with foodstuffs, and place food products at a distance of less than 20 mm from the protective cover!
  • Make changes to the design of the showcase yourself! This may cause damage or malfunction of the showcase. Violation of the electrical circuit of the showcase can lead to a short circuit and, as a result, to a fire!

Maintenance and care

Refrigeration compartment

Biryusa 152E, 152EP, 290E, 3140E, 310EP

The evaporator of the refrigerator compartment of the showcase is defrosted automatically. The moisture that condenses on the evaporator of the refrigeration compartment in the form of frost or frozen drops thaws when the compressor is turned off and flows through the drainage system into the defrost water tank, where it evaporates due to the heat generated by the compressor.

Biryusa 154E, 235

The evaporator of the refrigerator compartment of the showcase is defrosted automatically. Frost on the evaporator thaws when the compressor is turned off and the heater is turned on and flows through the drainage system into the defrost water tank, where it evaporates due to the heat generated by the compressor.

ATTENTION! For normal operation of the refrigerator compartment, it is necessary to ensure that the drain hole is not clogged. In case of clogging, it must be cleaned using a drainage insert (the drainage insert is included in the set of operational documents, except for the display case "Biryusa 235").

Commercial refrigerator cleaning

  • For reliable and long-term operation of the showcase, it is necessary to systematically clean the showcase both inside and outside.
  • To do this, disconnect the showcase from the electrical network.
  • Wash the internal and external surfaces of the showcase with soapy water, rinse with clean water, wipe dry and air for an hour with the door open.
  • Dust that accumulates on the condenser located on the rear wall of the showcase interferes with the normal operation of the showcase and leads to an increase in power consumption, so it is necessary to periodically (once every 6 months) clean the condenser from dust using a hair brush or vacuum cleaner.
  • To clean under the bottom shelf in the Biryusa 154E display case, you need to:
    • remove the shelves above;
    • pull the pins out of the stops, according to the figure;
    • take out the bottom shelf.
  • After cleaning the showcase, put the shelves back in place.

Possible malfunctions

If other problems occur, contact the service center.

During the operation of the showcase, you can hear:

  • clicks of operation of the temperature sensor-relay;
  • the murmur of refrigerant circulating through the pipes of the refrigeration system;
  • light crackles at temperature deformations of materials;
  • for showcases "Biryusa 154E", "Biryusa 235" small noises (hum) caused by running fans are possible.

These sounds are not associated with any defect and are functional in nature.

  • In the manufacture of thermal insulation, cyclopentane is used as a foaming gas, which shrinks. A slight unevenness on the side surfaces and the rear wall of the display case, caused by thermal insulation shrinkage, does not affect the performance and is not a defect.

Recycling of refrigerated display cases

After the expiration of the specified service life, the manufacturer is not responsible for safe operation showcases, therefore it is recommended to invite a workshop specialist at least once every three years for a preventive inspection or repair of electrical wiring in order to ensure its electrical and fire safety. If the operation of your showcase is no longer possible, we recommend that you bring it into disrepair as follows:

  • disconnect the plug from the network and cut the wire;
  • the case of the showcase is subject to disposal at landfills for household and industrial waste in accordance with the rules and requirements established by the local administration;
  • compressor, refrigeration unit, start-up turnip, electrical wiring can be disposed of as scrap of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

The equipment does not contain precious metals.

Forbidden! Burning out of the thermal insulation of the case of the showcase due to the formation of toxic substances during combustion.
