Riddles about furniture train logic! Ready quest for a birthday with tasks. Interesting tasks for quests

My memories from childhood + imagination were enough for exactly one quest: a dozen tasks that are not duplicated.
But the children liked the fun, they asked for more quests and had to go online.
This article will not describe the scenario, legends, design. But there will be 13 ciphers to encode the tasks for the quest.

Code number 1. Picture

Drawing or photo that directly indicates the place where the next clue is hidden, or a hint of it: broom + socket = vacuum cleaner
Complication: make a puzzle by cutting the photo into several parts.

Code 2. Leapfrog.

Swap the letters in the word: SOFA \u003d NIDAV

Code 3. Greek alphabet.

Encode the message with the letters of the Greek alphabet, and give the children the key:

Code 4. On the contrary.

Write the assignment backwards:

  • every word:
    Etischi dalk dop yonsos
  • or the whole sentence, or even a paragraph:
etsem morcom momas in - akzaksdop yaaschuudelS. itup monrev an yv

Code 5. Mirror.

(when I made a quest for my children, at the very beginning I gave them a "magic bag": there was a key to the "Greek alphabet", a mirror, "windows", pens and sheets of paper, and all sorts of unnecessary stuff to confuse. Finding another riddle , they had to figure out for themselves what from the bag would help to find a clue)

Code 6. Rebus.

The word is encoded in pictures:

Code 7. Next letter.

We write a word, replacing all the letters in it with the next ones in alphabetical order (then I is replaced by A, in a circle). Or previous, or following through 5 letters :).

CABINET = SCHLBH

Code 8. Classics to help.

I took a poem (and told the children which one) and a code of 2 digits: line number number of letters in the line.

Example:

Pushkin "Winter Evening"

A storm covers the sky with mist,
Whirlwinds of snow twisting;
Like a beast, she will howl
It will cry like a child
That on a dilapidated roof
Suddenly the straw will rustle,
Like a belated traveler
There will be a knock on our window.

21 44 36 32 82 82 44 33 12 23 82 28

did you read where is the clue? :)

Code 9. Dungeon.

In a 3x3 grid, enter the letters:

Then the word WINDOW is encrypted like this:

Code 10. Labyrinth.

My children liked this cipher, it is unlike the others, because it is not so much for brains as for attention.

So:

on a long thread / rope you hook the letters in order, as they go in the word. Then you stretch the rope, twist it and tangle it in every possible way between the supports (trees, legs, etc.). After walking along the thread, as if through a maze, from the 1st letter to the last, the children will recognize the clue word.

And imagine if you wrap one of the adult guests in this way!
Children read - The next clue is on Uncle Vasya.
And they run to feel Uncle Vasya. Eh, if he is also afraid of tickling, then everyone will have fun!

Code 11. Invisible ink.

Write the word with a wax candle. If you paint over the sheet with watercolors, then it can be read.
(there are other invisible inks .. milk, lemon, something else .. But I only had a candle in my house :))

Code 12. Rubbish.

The vowels remain unchanged, while the consonants change according to the key.
for example:
OVEK SHOMOZKO
reads like - VERY COLD, if you know the key:
D L X N H
Z M Shch K V

Code 13. Windows.

The kids loved it so much! They then encrypted messages to each other with these windows all day long.
So: on one sheet we cut out windows, as many as there are letters in the word. This is a stencil, we apply it to a blank sheet and write a hint word "in the windows". Then we remove the stencil and on the remaining clean place sheet we write many different other unnecessary letters. You can read the cipher if you attach a stencil with windows.
The children first fell into a stupor when they found a sheet covered with letters. Then they twisted the stencil back and forth, but you still need to attach it with the right side!

Code 14. Map, Billy!

Draw a map and mark (X) the location of the treasure.
When I made my quest for the first time, I decided that the map is very simple for them, so they need to make it more mysterious (later it turned out that just a map would be enough for the children to get confused and run in the opposite direction)...

This is our street map. The clues here are house numbers (to understand that this is our street in general) and huskies. This dog lives next door.
The children did not immediately recognize the area, they asked me leading questions ..
Then 14 children participated in the quest, so I combined them into 3 teams. They had 3 versions of this map and each had its place marked. As a result, each team found one word:
"SHOW" "TALE" "REAP"
That was the next task :). After him were hilarious photos!
On my son's 9th birthday, there was no time to invent a quest and I bought it on the MasterFuns website .. At my own peril and risk, because the description there is not very good.
But we liked it with the children, because:
  1. inexpensive (analogue somewhere around $ 4 per set)
  2. fast (paid - downloaded - printed - for everything about everything in 15-20 minutes)
  3. a lot of tasks, with a margin. And although I didn’t like all the riddles, but there was plenty to choose from, and you could enter your task
  4. everything is decorated in one monster style and this gives the holiday an effect. In addition to the tasks for the quest, the kit includes: a postcard, flags, table decorations, invitations to guests. And it's all about the monsters! :)
  5. in addition to the 9-year-old birthday man and his friends, I also have a 5-year-old daughter. The tasks are beyond her strength, but she and her friend also found entertainment - 2 games with monsters, which were also in the set. Phew, in the end - everyone is happy!

Quest tasks are very interesting and popular entertainment. Players are given various riddles and hints, with the help of which they move from one point of a given route to the next, receiving pleasant surprises for this.

Questions asked by the participants are often united by one topic, which is the subject of the quest. The main requirement for their compilation is diversity and unusualness. The degree of fun of the game depends on how difficult they will be. But when coming up with hints, it is also important not to go too far and not make them overly complicated.

Main classification

The simplest tasks for quests in terms of preparation are questions in notes. They are encrypted on leaves that participants need to find or earn at each stage of the competition. There are many varieties of them.

    1. The name of the next travel point is cut into individual letters, having correctly added which, the participants will learn where to go next.
    2. The use of puzzles and charades. They can combine pictures, numbers, letters, which, if interpreted correctly, give clues about the further route of movement.
    3. Riddles in logical series. For example: "Heat is born in the oven, but where does the cold come from?"
    4. A variant in the best espionage traditions - tips written on paper using melted wax. To find out the answer, you need to paint over the leaf with colored pencils.
    5. Accommodation along the entire route of the signs. But it does not have to be ordinary arrows at all. You can use flowers of a certain type or traces of an animal. In this form, tasks are often done for For example, you can tell them: "Follow in the footsteps of a lion cub and you will find a pleasant surprise."
    6. The phrase that makes up the hint may contain mixed words. Players need to arrange them in right order. Only then will they know what to do next.
    7. The assignment is written backwards and must be read correctly.
    8. The hint is applied to the paper using lemon juice or milk. Together with the leaf, the participants are given a candle and a lighter, thanks to the heat from the fire of which the words should appear and direct the players to the next item.
    9. Digital encryption of words is used. For example, instead of each letter, its serial number in the alphabet is written. The key to the puzzle must be guessed or won at one of the previous stages.
    10. As a task for the quest in the room, you can use an item located in the room in several copies, one of which contains instructions regarding further action. It can be a book, a box, a bedside table and the like.
    11. Another is the use of clues recorded in the form. Their decoding is not an easy task, but it is very exciting and interesting.
    12. Riddles can be encrypted using pictures, each of which symbolizes part of the name of the next destination.
    13. Messages are also laid out with magnets on the refrigerator door.
    14. Notes are hidden inside cookies, sweets and other products.

In order for the participants to successfully complete all stages of the competition and get the maximum amount of pleasure from it, the tips must be interesting and original. For victory in each separate stage and the game as a whole needs to prepare prizes.

Since tasks for quests directly depend on the chosen topic of the competition, let's consider the most popular options for holding it.

You can get confused even within four walls

You don't have to go outside to play this game. The tasks for the quest indoors are no less exciting than outside. There are several varieties of this type of game.

  1. Room escape. Already by the name itself it is clear where this competition is held. Its essence lies in the fact that participants are locked in an entire apartment or a separate room, and with the help of clues they must find the key to get out of it. This is a very unusual and interesting way to entertain guests who have come, for example, to celebrate a birthday.
  2. Tasks for the quest in the office Great for surprising your boss. If the firm is small, each employee can come up with one puzzle for the boss and enjoy plenty of watching him rush around the building in search of a clue and his gift. Office - perfect place in order to hide a lot of clues in it, solving which will be an unforgettable entertainment.
  3. interesting examples of tasks for a quest in a shopping center. And if it is also large, you can organize a truly unforgettable game in it. Indeed, in large shopping complexes it is often possible to get lost, even just making purchases, and what can we say about looking for clues and solving puzzles! For example, you can give the participants a photo of a dress, and they will have to find out its price. But first you need to find a boutique that sells this particular model of clothing. Also, as an option, hide the leaflet with the next task in some kind of jacket, which will also need to be found from the photo. But in the case of this task, it will be necessary to warn the store staff in advance so that no one accidentally sells this item to anyone.

We turn on the brains to the fullest

Who said that intellectuals can only be measured by their knowledge? They can be no less nimble and active than others. If you have a few of these "bookworms" among your friends, make them get out of their textbook-cluttered rooms and unwind in the fresh air.

Arrange a quest for them in the style of TV shows "Who wants to be a millionaire?", "The smartest" and "What? Where? When?" Prepare encrypted messages-hints for knowledge of various facts from history, geography, physics, biology and any other sciences. Make sure that the answer to each question serves as a clue to the next destination.

You can also organize a similar test for your significant other on the anniversary of your relationship or on any other holiday. Only in this case, questions must be tied to dates, places and events from a joint life.

If your "victim" loves the Big Bang Theory series, connect its protagonist Sheldon Cooper to the case. Intricate notes, written in an abstruse style in the style of this eccentric physicist, will greatly amuse any connoisseur of intellectual humor and make him thoroughly rack his brains over clues.

For the little ones

Children's tasks for a quest game can be no less exciting and interesting than adults. To organize such a competition for your child and his friends, use your favorite cartoon characters or computer games. Write questions on the leaves with the image of a particular character. You can use images from one cartoon, organizing the entire quest in his style, or from several at once.

The Klondike computer game can serve as an excellent source of inspiration. Quests and tasks based on it are in search of various artifacts related to the theme of the Wild West. For greater realism, children can be put on or fully dressed up in the best traditions of westerns.

Participants can go on a treasure hunt by following the directions on the map. On it, you will depict several streets closest to the house, having issued in the style of the Klondike game. Quests and tasks of this type involve searching for treasures, opening caches, asking friends for help, etc. This adventure will bring a lot of joy and nice gifts to kids. Any holiday with such a game will become an unforgettable event in the life of every child.

"Klondike", quests and tasks in which are very exciting and varied, is far from the only option. Also great will be a mobile quiz in the style of the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean". At the final point of the journey, a man dressed as Jack Sparrow will be waiting for them, who will hand over the treasure to the winner.

Hiding the answers away

You can come up with the most diverse and interesting tasks for the quest. For example, use your old suitcase with Hide the Grand Prize in it. And let the participants collect the cipher that will help open it by number throughout the game.

To come up with tasks for quests in the apartment, use a deck of cards. Scratch the end of it for the next step and shuffle it well. To parse the message, the players will have to put the cards in the right order. Give them a hint, which will say something from the category "Hearts, clubs, spades and diamonds will reveal the secrets of the future to you." This way you will let the players know what they should look for the cards, as well as in what order they need to be placed.

We present gifts in an original way

To unusually present a gift to a birthday man, you can also use the quest. Birthday tasks can be very different. For example, you can arrange a whole trip around the city in search of a present. The end point will be a dressing room with a bunch of boxes, in one of which the treasured souvenir will be hidden, and in order to find it, you will have to open them all.

You can also arrange an exciting quest around the city, the tasks of which will lead the birthday boy to a place where a surprise congratulatory party awaits him. You can start your journey in the following way. Leave a piece of cake in your friend's room from the night with a note containing something like this: “Well, your birthday has come. Today everything will be for you, but to get the prepared amenities, you will have to work hard. After all, nothing in this life comes easy. And even your holiday is no exception. To get started, dress comfortably, eat a cake, recharge your batteries from a coffee. What to do next - you will soon find out.

If you are going to give the birthday man some clothes or jewelry, you can leave the following message in the coffee jar: “I hope you liked the cake and you finally finally woke up. If yes - well done! Now take something stylish with you and go in search of your happiness. Even if there is no surprise among the things, you can simply hide a note in the closet with further instructions.

If you want to present a mobile phone for a birthday in an unusual way, let the participant receive one number at each stage of the game. Of these, the phone number will consist, by calling which, in the final, the birthday boy will find his gift.

Dealing with insidious numbers

For the quest, you can come up with numbers using a variety of ways. These can be both the most elementary tasks from the category of counting the number of steps in the house, and tricky puzzles. You can encrypt the code in a magazine or book. Participants will first have to guess the name of the required publication, and then, using the given page, line and word numbers, find a hint for the next action.

Quest tasks also often consist of deciphering the phone number of the person who received the key to the next step by e-mail. To guess the cherished numbers, you need to find information on the Internet about the height, age of stars or dates of famous and not very events as soon as possible. Such a puzzle might look like this.

illustrative example

"Are you finally here? I can't even believe that I made it! I am sure that you will not go further, because this task is clearly beyond your power. The fact is that the necessary code was sent to one person, whose name I will not say. You can only contact him by phone, but you won't get his number either. Like it or not, you'll have to guess it. So the first number is Arnold Schwarzenegger's weight in grams, you need the second number. Next - the fourth number of the year of birth of Leonardo DiCaprio. Then - the second growth figure of his partner in "The Wolf of Wall Street". René Zellweger's birthday. Then - the second half of the size of Penelope Cruz's legs. And the last figure is the number when Jason Stethem's girlfriend was born. May the great expert on Google stars help you!”

Examples of tasks for a quest of this type can be encrypted as your heart desires, and use any wording that comes to your mind. Since the execution given task implies the help of an Internet search engine, you can ask questions of any complexity. Including it is not forbidden to mention stars in whose biographies your friend-player is not too strong. But to make it even more interesting for him to look for answers, you can guess information about his idols.

Hollywood Help!

Tasks for the quest in the office and on the street can be organized in the style of any films and series of a group of people for whom the game is held. There are a myriad of options for riddles.

For example, you can use the theme of "Men in Black" in a very interesting way, starting the competition with such a note: "Greetings, earthling! We, Agent K and Agent J, need your help. We've fixed it coming but haven't yet established the planet it's sent from. This may be a warning to people about an alien invasion of Earth, so you need to act very quickly. The message is encoded. The best of our agents are struggling to decipher it, but they can't do it without you. We have individual parts of the message, but without help, we cannot recreate all of its content. Start searching the entire text immediately! You will be agent M and get all the data you need from agent B. Do not forget that the fate of the planet is in your hands! See you!”

Sea of themes

An interesting monster hunt can be organized during a quest in the style of the Supernatural series. For fans of royal intrigues, the ideal option is the Game of Thrones competition. And for fans of The Walking Dead, an unforgettable surprise will be a meeting with a zombie apocalypse on the streets of the city.

"Lord of the Rings", "Harry Potter", "Transformers", "Fast and Furious", "Batman" ... This list can be continued indefinitely, because any popular film is just a storehouse of facts that can be used when composing riddles. The same can be said about online entertainment. For example, the Klondike game is perfect for this purpose, quests and tasks for which will make the holiday unforgettable.

So, the quest starts in the morning, because you want to receive gifts immediately after waking up. The daughter already understands that she will not have to wait for easy ways to receive a gift - and she receives a hint where to look for the first task (under her pillow). The correct answer to each task is the path to the next stage of the quest.

Under the pillow is an envelope with a riddle.

The answer is a camera.

So, we should look for the next clue in the camera. Previously, I photographed the place that was supposed to be the next stage of the quest. Dasha takes a camera out of the table, turns it on and sees a photo of a washing machine there.

We go to the bathroom and climb into the washer. There is an envelope with a puzzle. Assembling the puzzle is a pillow.

Puzzle (cut randomly into 4-6 pieces):

There are several pillows in the house, and it’s not immediately possible to find the necessary one - under which a bag is hidden. In the bag there are several containers from under the kinder surprise. You need to open them until a riddle is found in one of the containers.

Obviously it's a vacuum cleaner. We stomp on the balcony where the vacuum cleaner is stored, and we find a labyrinth with Dasha the Traveler on the box with it.

Maze:

Having correctly passed through the labyrinth, we will reach the desired goal. This is an oven.

Our next step is the kitchen. We open the oven and find a note-cipher in the pan. Each letter is assigned a digital value, the task is to solve the cipher, focusing on the tablet.

We solve, we read the word - COMPUTER.

We run to the computer, turn it on. Previously, I photographed and uploaded to the computer a photo of the next (and last) stage of the quest. Before putting the computer into sleep mode, I opened the image - so when you turn it on, it is immediately visible. So, the last stage of the quest is the closet.

We hurry into the corridor, open one door, then another - and here it is, our gift. Or rather, gifts! Hurray, the quest for the children's birthday is completed! Happy birthday!

The development of such a birthday quest took about half an hour of time, and the same amount was spent on preparation. Tasks should not be made difficult, over which you will have to puzzle for a long time: it should be simple, fun, interesting and in no case spoil the child's mood. Of course, for older children, you can come up with more difficult tasks. As you can see, this is not a labor-intensive activity that guarantees a lot of positive things for both the child and his parents. Give your children happiness - it's that simple!

Good afternoon friends! Today, my friend Natalia will tell you about how to arrange a quest for her husband on their wedding anniversary.

I thank her for allowing me to tell you about this day, because everything turned out very well. I am sure that every woman, if desired, can prepare such an interesting surprise for her beloved, as Natasha did. Spend an unusual day, surprise, evoke emotions. I think that pleasant memories will definitely remain in the memory of each of the spouses.

I pass the floor to Natalia.

Quest for husband on wedding anniversary. An unusual gift for a loved one

The day of the wedding was approaching - 12 years. It seems like it’s not a round date, but I really wanted a holiday! As the saying goes, if you want a miracle, do it yourself. No sooner said than done. I will arrange a romantic quest for my husband in the places of our student cake and bouquet festivities.

The day fell on a Sunday. It was very convenient, because by that time we had a 2.5-year-old son and he had to be attached to someone else. I agreed with my husband's sister that she would sit with the child and then bring him to the final destination of my quest. It took me a week to think over the details and prepare the material. Still, it should be beautiful and interesting!

I have prepared six messages in the form of romantic letters. Envelopes are easy to make yourself or buy suitable ones. I did it myself.

The first letter fit nicely on the car.

I asked our student friends (by the way, they got married 20 days later than us and were direct witnesses to the development of events that led to our wedding) to film my husband during the quest on video.

Morning 8:00, we get up early even on weekends. Husband doesn't know at all. I sent them with my son for a walk, and I myself got ready and ran out of the house. By 9 o'clock the sister-in-law should arrive, by 10 friends. The day before, I wrote down a message for my husband on the phone that I was inviting him on a trip. As soon as I left the house, I sent him a video on Watsapp. How convenient that now there are such technical possibilities!

I had enough time, but I was afraid to be late and was in a hurry. There was only one "plug": I could not get into the entrance, where we kissed for the first time. On Sunday morning it is difficult to wait for the excitement of residents entering and leaving the entrance. For 10 minutes I toiled in anticipation, even called the intercom in a random apartment, no one answered there. Fortunately, soon a guy came out of the entrance and opened the door for me.

All other letters I posted without incidents.

Just in case, I sent photos to friends so that they could tell my husband if he couldn’t figure something out himself.

Well, in parallel, I filmed my impressions and memories on video.

The final destination of my quest was a room on the 19th floor in the Gorskiy city hotel.

We got married at a time when no one had heard of digital cameras, and the wedding night usually took place in an apartment full of wedding guests. Well, in general, the number is kind of logical 🙂 .

Everything turned out even better than I had planned.

My husband, myself and my friends had a lot of impressions.

We remembered our youth and all the wonderful things that happened there. In the evening, my husband's sister brought us a son, we also walked around the city on foot, spent the night and had breakfast at the hotel. We parted in different directions - my husband went to work, and we went home. But an inexpressible feeling of happiness and joy remained, as if not a day had passed, but an eternity.

Natasha told us such a wonderful story about a family holiday.

In my opinion, a wedding anniversary quest for a husband is a great way to escape from the gray everyday life, give a romantic mood to yourself and your loved one, plunge into wonderful memories and cheer each other up.

What do you think? Write your impressions about the gift in the comments!

If you are puzzled by how to turn a banal gift giving into an original congratulation, then you are ready for the fact that you will have to spend your time not only looking for a present, but also preparing something interesting and memorable. This will take more time and a little imagination. So, how to prepare an original congratulation? In a previous article, we talked about how to give a gift using balloons. If you want something more dynamic and exciting, make a quest game out of giving a gift. We offer you some interesting ideas.

The following articles will help you decide on a gift:

The first idea is "Treasure Island".

This option is suitable for those who live with the person for whom the gift is intended, as you need to know the habits of the "object" well and have access to his personal belongings.

Let's start by drawing a map. To do this, you need whatman paper - it is not necessary to use all of it, just the density of this paper is just right for this purpose. It can be a plan of your apartment, house or a map of the whole microdistrict - it depends on the scale of the quest you have in mind. We indicate the place where the gift is hidden. To make the card look spectacular, it can be "aged". This is a troublesome business, but in the end you will get a masterpiece that can be shot in films!

The drawn map needs to be rubbed and wrinkled slightly, then held a little over the candle - the paper will darken. The main thing is not to get carried away - do not bring the drawing paper too close to the fire, but keep it longer than a couple of seconds, otherwise the paper will become brittle. It is better to practice on a separate piece of paper first so that you do not have to redraw everything from the beginning. We carefully burn the corners of the card and immediately extinguish. The map is ready!

Now ... tear it to pieces. Preferably not very small ones - 6 or 8. We put them in envelopes. Now we are preparing hints. For example, when serving breakfast in bed, we hand out a card with congratulations and a hint that will help you find the first piece of the card - "Punch through the wall, you will see silver, you will break through silver, you will see gold." The answer is an egg, you need to guess the riddle and guess that something (in our case, a piece of the map) is hidden next to the eggs. So, in the fridge in the egg tray. You can, of course, and in the egg it all depends on your imagination. So, there is the first piece of the map, the next clue can be given immediately, or you can hide it in the bathroom next to a tube of toothpaste, in shoes, in the mailbox - the main thing is that you must be sure that the "object" will look there. Get someone to help you. A piece of the card can, for example, be given to a watchman at the entrance or to a security guard at a company where a person works, to a seller in a newspaper or cigarette kiosk, or to someone you know. The place where the gift is hidden should be indicated on the last piece of the map. As soon as all the pieces are collected, the climax comes - we go to the indicated place and pick up the prize! After such a quest, you can’t name a gift otherwise.

And yet - choose this option if you know for sure that the person who will participate in the game is quite passionate and likes to rack his brains over various logical puzzles.

The second idea is "Labyrinth".

The option is not only interesting, but also spectacular. Very good if you are preparing a surprise for a child.

Buy in advance three large pieces of ribbons of different colors. They are sold by the yard at any fabric store. Right from the bed, we begin to tangle them throughout the room.

The path to the main gift is indicated by only one ribbon, others lead either simply to a dead end or to small "consolation" gifts.

The third idea is "Storage room".

To implement this idea, you will need a left-luggage office, for example, at a train station. We hide a gift there. We photograph the entire route - remarkable places that a person can navigate - his house, a bus stop, the desired bus number, the station building (or another place where the cell is located). It is usually forbidden to take pictures in the building itself, you can try to capture just the inscription "luggage storage", and indicate the number of the cell itself in another way.

On the morning of the appointed day, the person responsible for the whole event receives an envelope with photographs. Most likely, he will guess that his gift is in the storage room, and that he needs to go after it. Only the cell code is missing. How to report it? You can, for example, like this - friends send one text of congratulations, each one word in SMS, but with a cell code number: "We are 5", "... congratulations 3", "you 1", "with 4", "day 6" , "Birth 2"! It remains only to compare all the data and go for a gift. But be sure to keep the company of the lucky one - for safety. And try to have documents with you at the station, just in case.

The fourth idea is "Heat-cold".

Such a game is suitable for presenting a gift to young children. Hide the gift in the room and have your child find it by playing the warm-cold game. First, explain the rules. If the child comes close to the right place, we say: "warmer, warmer ...!", if it goes the wrong way, we say: "colder, colder ... quite cold!". If he came very close, we say: "Hot!" This will be a signal that the place where the gift is hidden has been found.

The fifth idea is "Remember everything".

Take note if you are planning to prepare a surprise for a special date or wedding anniversary for your significant other.

Remember all the places that are dear to both - the cafe where they met, the bench where they kissed for the first time, the cinema, the train station - in this case it is impossible to give clear instructions. Make hint notes, a crossword puzzle or puzzles, where these places, important dates will be indicated. You can use a photo. Make up and think over the route well, hide the clues. It's great if you can bring friends or acquaintances. Guessing the next rebus or encrypted word, your partner will look for the main prize. What will it be - a romantic dinner, a nice gift or something more intimate - decide for yourself. The scale of the quest can be very different, up to a trip to another city, if necessary! Surprise your loved ones more often!

Whatever idea you choose, add your own additions to it, spend a little time preparing and you will succeed! You will have something to tell your grandchildren!

Every year, on the eve of the birthday of all children, there is such impatience that words cannot express! After all, the time has come to celebrate their next birthday! But how to make the birthday man remember this day for long years was interesting and unique? Of course, go in search of an unforgettable adventure.

Here you should not let everything take its course, study the proposed scenarios that abound on the Internet, because you should organize an event in accordance with all the rules. You can invite animators, there are no problems with this in Moscow, or you can use a ready-made holiday scenario, which the Internet is full of. Perhaps the most beloved and interesting, both for children and adults, crowning any rating, is an adventure game, that is, a quest, any entertainment event speaks of this.

A quest (quest from the English “task”, “search”, “hike”) is a mini-adventure, there are usually several stages in its scenario. Today it is one of the most popular and modern ways to celebrate a holiday at home or in nature. Depending on the focus, all tasks must be completed collectively or individually.

Each ends with a new task or a mini-prize. You need to do so many stages so that the children invited to the birthday party do not get bored. In the best collections to help organize a gift-seeking adventure, it is said that 6-10 is the optimal number of tasks. You can do it in nature, and in the forest, an ordinary room will do if the game is not a team game.

Puzzles

The key element of the quest, when you are planning to organize a search for a gift, are the clues hidden in the adventure scenario. You can invent them yourself or borrow one from various sources, where there are ready-made scripts for the birthday of children. The rating of puzzles depends on the difficulty.

Tasks can be designed beautifully and with fiction, or you can find a ready-made templatein which you enter tasks and then print them out on a printer. For children who cannot read tasks, you can read or use pictures. To make the search more enjoyable, you can add sweet prizes in the form of sweets, chocolate coins, and other things to tasks.

Use simple and poetic riddles that are easy to solve, otherwise the task runs the risk of hanging up and spoiling the mood. You can use mathematical and, you can make, for example, a homemade puzzle. You can use gadgets and send tasks by e-mail, paste QR codes on objects or leave links to videos or images on the Internet.

If you want to give multiple gifts, you can use
verse riddles to search:

Looking for a hidden surprise

You can take riddles, the answers to which will be your favorite cartoon characters (in the form of toys, books or pictures), which will give a hint:

The next stage of preparation in the children's adventure scenario is the laying out of tasks and surprises in order to carry out the search. You need to make sure that each subsequent puzzle points to the next waypoint in your game.

You can start by hiding the first clue in a place where you can discreetly push the guests or the birthday person in the right direction, in case the room in which the gift is being searched does not want to part with its secrets. You can also hand over the first task in person, send it in the form of SMS, ask your friends to hand it over in the form of a letter. Then, along the chain, distribute subsequent tasks.

First, come up with original text in the scenario of the adventure itself, you can include it in it, giving a start and setting the tone for the selected scenario. It all depends on the hobbies of the birthday man and the invited children.

The next question that needs to be addressed is: where is it most convenient for children to conduct a quest on such a significant day? There can be a lot of options: from your own apartment, to outdoor adventures in nature: in a city park, in a country house, and even on your own personal plot.

Quest Personal plot, at home or in the country

Team quest for children, looking for a gift

A team game is a special kind of game, as it can include previous ideas for a search team or be, for example, a competitive type of adventure when 2 teams participate. This scenario can be used not only for birthdays, but also for joint activities in the classroom or in kindergarten. According to the results of the game, you can make a rating of the smartest players.

The goal of such a game is to find a hidden gift faster than the opposing team, or the second option, which involves a collective game of both teams. Alternatively, each team separately from the other must find their part of the map, combining which you can find a common prize.
For team competitions, you can take various games, for example:

The game "I'm a director today"

You can also play mimes and portray:

Game progress

The course of the birthday game for children should be smooth, moving from one point to another, you, as the leader of the holiday, should, if necessary, guide and prompt the players who can get stuck and get confused (anything happens). Although you should not rush, give the children a chance to figure out the task themselves.

Such entertainments as a quest room have become quite popular. Here the fantasy of the authors will provide you with real scenery and special effects, as well as unimaginable scenarios for the development of familiar plots, just type in a search engine and you will be given a rating of the popularity of these establishments in Moscow.

Quest for a boy

As mentioned above, scenarios for boys may differ from those for girls. Therefore, you need to properly prepare and take into account the interests of the birthday man and his friends and make everything perfect.

You can use logical tasks from matches (how to turn one number into another), light chemical experiments, mark the numbering of books on the shelves, you can use stereograms for tips, mixing colors, tongue twisters.

If you do not have time for personal preparation, you can visit a room with theatrical quests in Moscow. The rating of such entertainment for children and adults is quite high and the topics depend on the age, besides, you can participate with the children. Themes are different: on the theme of space, cartoons, literary, military, pirate, fantastic and terrible.

For example, a detective script:

1) Preparation

All tasks are designed for one participant, but if you wish, a group of friends will not hurt.
Host: adult (parent or guest animator).
Time: about 1 hour.
Venue: apartment.
Age of participant: boy 7 years old or more (you can redo it for a girl if she likes this genre).
This scenario would be ideal if the child decides to give a live puppy or kitten.

Necessary materials:

  • envelope with the image of your favorite detective (classic Sherlock Holmes, Dora the Pathfinder, Diego and others), paper and pen
  • some attribute of the "sleuth costume"
  • flash drive, phone, tablet, or laptop - any gadget that can play recorded audio files
  • 5 different “footprints” of a dog or cat paw cut out of paper (each in several copies)
  • toy or live dog or cat (depending on the gift)

2) Start

We start in the hallway. In the door or under it, an envelope with the first task sticks out, if the child does not notice it right away, say that "it seems someone was knocking" or "oh, what is it." So, the envelope is in hand.
The child should open the envelope and read the letter.

The text of the letter can be changed according to the chosen chief detective and style: “Dear friend! I have to ask you for help. A terrible story happened to me: (let your imagination run wild and write in the plot). I ask you for help! You will find everything you need for searching in the place that is located in the house, and at the same time - on the street.

Sincerely, (name of the chosen hero)."

The task of the child is to figure out where the box with the necessary attributes is hidden. This is a balcony. If it's hard to understand. Then use the hint and add the word from the letters left in the envelope. The little detective must add the word "balcony".

3) Investigation

We go to the balcony and find a box there, we take out the attributes of the “detective costume”, dress it. The box contains a memory card (any memory carrier, depending on the chosen gadget), a note and "traces".

The text of the note: “Evidence is collected here, it will help in our case. Listen to the tapes and identify the voice of the Baskerville dog (hero cat and others - according to the script), and then go on the trail.

The memory card is pre-recorded with five sound audio files with different voices of barking dogs or meowing cats. The files need to be numbered. One of them will belong to the Hound of the Baskervilles or (hero cat). We do it this way - we give the child to listen to the desired voice 1-2 times in order to remember. Then listen to everything in any order and find out which of the records belongs to the dog or cat you are looking for.

It may happen that the first time it doesn’t work out, it doesn’t matter, repeat the task.

When the desired file is recognized, the child must remember or write down in a notebook, like a real detective, the number of the desired file.

Now it's time to explore the mysterious dog/cat footprints in the box, all "paw prints" are numbered. In the room, we will also have 5 types of different footprints without numbers, but of different sizes, you can even play with the color coming from the balcony to certain parts of the room (glue with tape to be sure). Only one of them is correct.

The task is from the traces in the box, take the trace with the desired number (this is the number of the guessed sound file), and find the same one on the floor. Having found the right direction, let's follow the trail until it leads us to the next goal. This will be the closet.

4) Search

Inside the closet, a note is attached in a visible place and several wardrobe items are hanging, for example, a shirt, coat, jacket, jacket, trousers, etc. Things that are superfluous and repetitive in name are best moved to another closet for a while.

Text of the note: “Dear friend! You are a real detective! Be careful: the things of the criminal who hides the location of the dog (cat) are hanging here. You need to carefully search these things and find the missing pieces of the puzzle, from which you need to assemble the word. This word will show you the way forward.

In the pockets of things, seven pieces of paper with letters are hidden in advance, each with 1 letter. If things to be searched have many pockets, then the search will be more exciting. The task of the child is to find all the letters and make the word "corridor" out of them. From the letters you need to make up the name of the next room with the task, for example, kitchen, corridor, living room.

After that, you can move to this room.

5) Intelligence tasks

An envelope with another note for the young detective is lying on the floor in the selected room.
Text of the note: "Great job! Getting closer and closer to the goal. The next task is to use logic and deduction to solve all the riddles. Only then can you get an answer as to where to go next.”

The facilitator sequentially asks riddles:

You can find a lot. You can use numbered cards and a card with the number of voice (trace) from the initial tasks, it will be about the subject of the home environment, in this subject you will hide the next clue.

After that, he needs to search the hidden object and find a dog collar in it (if the gift is a puppy or a bow on a string, if it is a kitten). A note “go to the next room” will be attached to the collar (bow) (if there is only one room, then you can use the kitchen or bathroom).

A plush dog or cat (if a toy is intended) will be waiting for the winner in the next room. If the animal is real, then it is unlikely that it will be possible to persuade him to sit quietly, therefore, in the final search, the search should take you outside and there your assistant in the person of a relative or friend will present the treasured gift.

This is of course a short script, but what prevents you from taking it as a basis and compiling your own version.

For girl

Girls can do just as well with tasks for boys, but still they like slightly different genres. The rating of entertainment for girls is headed by fairies, princesses and fabulous adventures.
The scenario for a girl can be based on the plot of her favorite fairy tale or on testing her skills as a hostess, or in general, combine everything at once - the main thing is to be interesting, and the birthday will remain in your memory as an incredible adventure.

The scenario for the girl is similar in logic to the above scenario for the boy. Let's just change the main character.

Only when she wakes up, the girl can find a flower or an envelope, and in it a note that her beloved fairy or princess is asking for her help. You can write tasks in verse, bring your favorite toys to the riddles, flowers on the windowsill, outfits. Moving around the room in the final, you can make a word inviting you to continue the holiday in a cafe or in an amusement park and present the main gift there.

Every child from early childhood has many questions related to the structure of the world, things, the organism of a living being and many other phenomena that make one think about something more complex, and sometimes even higher. Parents only need to add fuel to the fire of curiosity with the help of developmental tasks. Among these there are also all the favorite riddles. There is a huge variety of poems about a variety of subjects. Perhaps the most common version of puzzles for children can be called riddles about furniture.

Riddle about the bed

1. She has a pillow, a blanket.

If Mashenka is tired,

This soft thing

Will not let you fall down from fatigue.

You rest on it

Pull the arms, legs,

And then play again.

And her name is ... (bed)!

2. At night I am your girlfriend,

And not a cat and a toy,

If you want to sleep

Then lie down on ... (bed)!

3. During the day, the boys do not sleep on it,

And the girls: all the kids.

At night, after a hard day -

On the pillow head.

Again during the day on her pillow,

And then - again Andryushka!

The parent must ensure that the child can guess any puzzles typical of his age, even riddles about furniture. At first, you can help with answers, suggest, hint. Only after the baby learns to navigate in different household items, compare their signs and try on different objects, it is worth giving several chances to guess.

The riddle about the table

1. I put dishes on it,

I won't forget to move the chair

I will teach lessons:

Books, pens spread out.

And if I want to play

This item can become a house!

2. It is usually made of wood,

In the house he is a habitual resident,

Looks a bit like a horse

Only saucers, cups, spoons

Always on his back

Placed without difficulty.

3. A horse with a wooden back

It is in every house.

It has four legs

But it doesn't run anywhere.

On his back, he allows a lot of things:

And write and cut

And sculpt, then play.

To make it interesting for the child to guess riddles and so that this business is not an extra reason for him to be capricious, the parent can come up with some kind of game for points. For example, it will be estimated at 2 points. And if the child does not guess it, then the same number of units is removed from his account. The riddle about the table is a little more difficult than the puzzle about the bed, so you can give 4 points for it, etc. At the end of the game, your child simply has to get a prize, it can be a candy (for a minimum number of points), as well as a few chocolate bars ( for the maximum number of points).

Riddle about a chair and an armchair

1. I stand with my back

And I will support yours.

There are legs and handles too,

But not alive, what do I look like? (Armchair)

2. My elder brother is a table.

Children eat on it.

Well, I'm something else

The uniform is the same, but they don't cook dinner for me.

I have a different task

They sit on me, not remembering me. (Stool, chair).

3. It will hug you warmly,

Whether you are a child or an old man,

It cradles, shaking.

But they sit in it, and this is not a sofa,

What is this? Guess it yourself! (Rocking chair).

Furniture riddles are the most difficult for children, because they are not yet so developed in this topic as to quickly name all the objects. Do not be upset if the baby cannot yet guess what the rhyme is about - do not worry, but help him. To make the riddle about the bed and other pieces of furniture seem easier for him, show him the pictures with the answers, and then clearly explain why the chair was the answer, and not the table or sofa.

about furniture

1. With four legs, but no knees.

With two elbows, but no arms.

With the back, but without the spine. (Armchair chair).

2. It stands on four legs, but it cannot be called a beast.

He carries on his back, but not a car or a bicycle.

There are clothes, but not a person. (Bed).

3. She has four legs, two backs, but one body. (Bed).

4. Four steadfast brothers live under the same roof and wear the same hat. (Table).

These cannot be called poetic, they are more like logical puzzles, so they need to be guessed by children who are already 7-8 years old. But even if at this age your child cannot guess this or that riddle, you should not scold him, because even an adult will not immediately guess riddles about furniture for children. It must be remembered that children are only exploring this world, whether this process will become memorable and fun or boring and full of tears and tantrums, depends not only on the child, but also on the parent.

Riddles about other pieces of furniture

1. He is probably an eccentric.

He is rude and stupid!

You think, look:

Everyone has clothes on the outside

And he wears it inside! (Wardrobe, closet).

2. He lives in the kitchen,

Stores cookies, sweets, dishes,

And if you need something

It is worth standing on a chair - this is understandable to a camel.

After all, it hangs high on the wall

And just don't get it.

It's up to dad only.

Take something from it. (Buffet, kitchen cabinet).

3. Clothes lie on the shelves,

Worth the shoes here

A little bit of all the seasons

This big box contains:

Here is a fur coat and pants,

Sundress, sandals,

Raincoat, boots for spring

They were waiting for their time. (A wardrobe).

Try to make solving riddles more fun! Whether it's a riddle about a table, an armchair or a closet, turn to the child, let him feel the dialogue form of the game.

Why is it so important to guess riddles?

It has been scientifically proven that since the moment a child begins to crawl, he pays attention to every little thing, to every object that comes his way. That is why it is necessary to maintain the baby's interest in the world and objects in it with the help of games.

Riddles are a game suitable for any age, because since childhood we all strive to absorb everything that we are told, which is why psychologists and teachers consider children under 15 years of age to be the most capable of learning. Riddles about furniture can also become a source of knowledge, they will develop logic and help you cope with more difficult tasks.

Logical thinking is a kind of thinking that is formed in a child the very first, so it is important to pay special attention to this. Furniture puzzles are a great way to train your little one.

Home quest - a way to give any gift in an original and fun way, turning it into an interesting, exciting game. Why such a name? In general, a quest is a kind of game with various ciphers and riddles that lead to the main prize along the chain.

Main idea: the surprise is hidden in a secluded place, and the player is given a message-riddle-indication with a hint where to look for the next note. Solving all the riddles leads the player to the place where the gift is located. The simplest version of this entertainment is an indoor quest.

Original birthday greetings - an exciting adventure with the search for a hidden gift from notes

Training

So, your task is to make sure that the player finds the gift in the right place after solving a series of riddles or completing mini-tasks. For this you need:

  1. Decide on a secluded place where you hide the gift.
  2. Make a chain of items that are in your house, which will lead to a hidden gift (the end point in it is the place where the gift will lie). Hints-tasks can be hidden in a variety of places - from the washing machine and oven to the mailbox in the stairwell. The chain must be carefully thought out so that the items do not intersect along the way and do not lead ahead of time to the gift.
  3. Come up with and beautifully arrange messages-riddles-instructions.
  4. Arrange all the messages in their places. In order not to get confused, you can number them and draw up a layout diagram for yourself.

The optimal number of stages is from 6 to 10: more can make the quest tedious, and less can make the quest too fleeting. But this, of course, general recommendation- perhaps you will get a wonderful quest, consisting of 5 stages (if the tasks are difficult) or, conversely, of 15 stages.

The quest can be made even more enjoyable and exciting if there are several gifts along the way (let the tasks be accompanied, for example, by chocolates or small souvenirs).

Puzzles

Where can I get riddles? The easiest option is to find riddles on the Internet, but you can also compose them yourself, since they do not have to correspond to poetic canons at all. And if they contain humor or something individual, personal (for example, associated with some kind of fun occasion), then this will certainly be very pleasant for the birthday man! To make it easier for you, we offer a selection of riddles to help you compose a quest indoors:

Options for possible hints and places to hide them, as well as interesting ideas on how to beat some items

  • balloon with a message inside
  • soft toy with a note in its paws
  • instead of a riddle - a set of letters from which you need to make a word
  • drawing with a clue inside the candy
  • a plate of cake with an attached sign "Eat me!", with a note under the treat
  • text file or picture (photo) with a hint on a flash drive
  • text message or email with instructions on what to do next
  • a hint in the camera - a pre-taken photo of the next item from your chain; the player needs to take the camera and view the photos
  • hint in the newspaper - the necessary word highlighted with a marker (circled by a pen) (or we select letters in different articles from which the player needs to make a word)
  • At one of the stages, the player finds objects or pictures that play an important role in some work (fairy tale) - the player must guess what this work is and find a book with it. The book contains the following clue.
  • In a riddle, the key word may not be the word “picture” itself, but what is depicted on it. For example, in the picture there is a waterfall. Then, having guessed the riddle, the birthday boy will think about what the word “waterfall” means: a faucet in the bathroom, a shower, or something else. Then guess about the picture.
  • Compose a crossword puzzle (preferably on some interesting suitable topic), in which the highlighted letters are keywords the place where the gift is hidden.
  • The player finds a message and sees the following: a cell phone is shown on the sheet, an arrow from it to your pasted photo, from the photo an arrow with the inscription "Code word", then again an arrow and some phrase (it is desirable that it be very funny). This hint suggests calling you on the phone and telling you the password - in response, you also say a phrase (for example, a rhyme or a proverb) in which the next hint is encrypted.
  • Take a picture of the room where you are going to hide the gift, then print the photo in A4 format. Next, put it in a transparent file and put a cross on this file in the place where the surprise will lie. Then cut the photo into several parts. These will be the "puzzles" that the birthday man needs to collect. At the end point of the chain, put a blank sheet of A4 format, a glue stick and a transparent file with a cross - the birthday boy will need to stick the "puzzles" on a piece of paper, put it in the file and see where the "treasure" lies.

As you can see, there are a lot of options. When preparing the quest, you can use these examples or give free rein to your imagination and come up with something original. The main thing is to invest love during cooking, and the return will definitely please you!

Beginning of the game

A message with a description of the game and the first riddle can be:

  • Give the birthday person in person
  • Send as SMS
  • Put in a visible place or attach to the wall
  • Transfer through friends or neighbors, using a courier service - it all depends on your imagination and your capabilities

Approximate text of the message:

"Happy birthday! A gift has been prepared for you, but it is safely hidden. Complete all the tasks, and then you will find it. Good luck! »

And then you watch how the player solves your messages with passion and finds a gift. Alternatively, you can invite friends to participate, and then the adventure will turn into a real holiday for everyone. In any case, such a surprise will surely please the birthday boy, and the memory of this wonderful adventure will warm him for a long time!

An approximate scenario for conducting a quest game in an apartment for a husband (beloved man)

(let's say you decide to hide a gift in microwave oven)

Morning. Your other half walks into the bathroom and sees a beautiful message pinned to the wall in which you wish him a happy birthday.

Below is written:

P.S. Check out the washing machine!

At this point, you join your loved one and watch the search for a surprise.

AT washing machine husband finds a message:

“I have prepared a gift for you, but I will not give it. I propose to participate in the quest game and find my surprise yourself!

Kohl on all my riddles

There is a sticker on the back of the TV with a riddle on it:

All the picture will convey.
(Camera)

This will be the last riddle. The task of the birthday boy is to guess what to do next. The fact is that he needs to look through the photos and find among them an image of a microwave oven (you need to prepare in advance - take a close-up photo of the oven). In it, a loved one will find your gift!

If you want to please the birthday boy with more interesting and intricate tasks, or if you don’t have the time and opportunity to find good ideas and arrange everything beautifully, we bring to your attention. By the titles of the articles, you can find a quest game scenario suitable for the occasion for any age.

Every year we give children gifts with riddles - this is a whole quest, moving from one riddle to another, the child, in the end, finds a gift.

I came up with it myself when I was little Yaroslav. Then there were no names such as "quest". I just wanted to entertain the child, surprise him. She took riddles about everyday things from the reading anthology - a refrigerator, a wardrobe, shoes, a bathroom, laid out notes there, and handed the first one to him. There was delight - not to describe!

And now this happens every year. I've run out of ideas for riddles. And this time she asked Yaroslav to find puzzles for his brother.

Yaroslav did his best and found such riddles that I did not even know. Sat on the Internet for an hour :)

I share with you the finished quest design:

1. We give the first note to the child. We had it in the "hands" of an inflatable Mickey Mouse

2. The unit shudders,
There is a thaw in it, then a cold,
He is very happy with his work
And if you turn it off, it will sit in a puddle. ( Fridge)

3. There is a note in the refrigerator about cupboard

He stands in the corner against the wall.
Oh he looks big
But he is not punished at all.
Mom keeps things in it.

There is another note in the closet. You just need to hide it somewhere in a conspicuous place, otherwise the closet is big, you can look for a note for a day

4. I am not a sea or a river,
I am not a lake, not a pond,
But how morning or evening -
People are running towards me. ( Bath)

Interestingly, I inserted a note into a vase with shells on the mirror, it was directly visible. But the children searched together and could not find! Apparently the mirror has magical properties make things invisible.

5. And one more puzzle had to be solved to get to the treasured gift

Balcony

She tried to arrange the notes in such a way that Gleb had to run from one part of the apartment to the opposite: from the nursery to the kitchen, again to the nursery, to the bathroom, to the balcony.

And then Gleb asked me: “Mom, how do you manage to sneak in quietly and spread out all the notes that they didn’t even wake me up?”

The answer suggests itself: "If you become a dad, you can't even do that" :)

Gift-quest- a way to give any gift in an original and fun way, turning it into an interesting, exciting game.

Ready scripts for the quest. Detailed information can be viewed by clicking on the image of interest.

But this, of course, is a general recommendation - perhaps you will get a wonderful quest consisting of 5 stages (if the tasks are difficult) or, conversely, of 15 stages.

To make it easier for you, I propose to help you with a selection of riddles for compiling a quest indoors:

Every day at six in the morning
I'm cracking: it's time to get up!

  • Compose a crossword puzzle (preferably on some interesting suitable topic), in which the highlighted letters are the keywords of the place where the gift is hidden.

(let's say you decide to hide the gift in the microwave)

Morning. Your other half walks into the bathroom and sees a beautiful message pinned to the wall in which you wish him a happy birthday.

Below is written:

P.S. Check out the washing machine!

At this point, you join your loved one and watch the search for a surprise.

In the washing machine, the husband finds a message:

“I have prepared a gift for you, but I will not give it. I propose to participate in the quest game and find my surprise yourself!

Kohl on all my riddles
Can you find the answer
That gift you will receive
Or rather, you will find it yourself!

The balcony has now become a familiar extension of the apartment. Everyone is so accustomed to its presence on the facade of buildings that it is probably impossible to imagine modern architecture without it. But the balcony is far from a modern design; it has its roots in the deep Middle Ages. As early as the 13th century, they began to be built, and they served for defensive purposes. These were monolithic stone structures protruding forward from the plane of the wall and having a blank stone fence. Massive brackets that were attached to the wall served as a hold for them. Balconies were used mainly for observation and defense, they were built above the main gates of the city, so you can call them an adornment of the main city entrance.

The functionality and convenience of balconies were quickly appreciated and therefore soon they began to appear on the facades of residential buildings and public buildings. All sides of the structure, as before, remained tightly closed, and heavy forms began to be replaced by lighter structures because, being on the facade of the building, they served as its decoration. With the advent of the Gothic era, a new type of balconies appeared, in the form of a cathedral pulpit. They had a semicircular configuration, and under the floor laid out masonry with an overlap. Such chairs decorated both the facades of houses and the interior decoration of the premises.

During the Renaissance, loggias began to be installed on a special ledge, which was made in the wall. There are metal fences and a clearer shape of its various parts. The Venetian era adds brackets in the form of animals and people to the construction of balconies, giving the impression that the structures do not hang in the air, but are supported from below by their figures. At this time, intricate figured metal fences appear, with a complex pattern of forged railings. Balconies become the decoration of buildings, so they are trying to make them unusually picturesque.

In Russia, these architectural elements appeared quite late, and they could only be found on the facades of royal palaces. In the Baroque era, the Catherine Palace was decorated with a large number of such structures, it was a special charm of those times, it emphasized the pomposity of the building. At the end of the 19th century, balconies began to be widely used in the construction of tenement houses. The use of concrete and metal makes it possible to build more balconies into the facades of city houses, it becomes not too expensive pleasure and a privilege not only of kings.

Origin of the word "balcony"

The word "balcony" itself has ancient German roots, and in translation means "beam" or "log". The Italians began to use it, giving the word a national color, they changed the word "balco" to "balcony". This word refers to the protrusion of the beams built into the wall. In this form, the word went around the world and spread widely along with the construction of these structures.

Modern balconies

Currently, a balcony is not only an opportunity to enjoy the surrounding landscape and fresh air, but also the prospect of expanding living space. Therefore, glazed loggias have gained wide popularity, in which you can arrange a pantry, an additional room, and a greenhouse for flowers.

Protruding premises modern houses can be divided into four main types:

  • - a platform protruding from the wall, having fences and railings;
  • Veranda- differs from the usual balcony in large size, obligatory covering from above and support in the form of columns;
  • Loggia- a structure recessed into the facade of the building, having only one side;
  • - an opening in the wall, fenced from the side of the street, it does not have a platform for exit.

AT various countries a certain form of balcony usually prevails, it depends on the climatic conditions of the country. In countries with a sultry and hot climate, covered verandas and terraces are common, hiding from the scorching rays of the sun. Where the climate is more temperate, open structures and large verandas are used. In countries with cold and harsh weather, loggias are built in, and more often this architectural element is not used at all.

Riddles about the balcony

People have always loved to envelop objects around them with secrets and unusual properties. Of course, the loggias did not go unnoticed. Riddles about the balcony help to develop children's ingenuity and the ability to think logically; the ability to reproduce the image of an object in words develops the imagination. And such an element of the building is not so easy to guess, for this you have to think carefully. Let us give examples of several riddles, the clues for which will be the word "balcony".

I'm from home to the threshold
Only one step took a step,
The door closed behind
There is no path ahead of me.

I'm at home - and not at home,
Between heaven and earth,
Guess, friends
Where am I?

Not a house, but not a street,
High, but not scary.

Home is like a home
One hundred pockets in it.
In every pocket
Beds with flowers.

The riddle about the balcony can be invented by both adults and children. Let the kids think a little and describe this building element, for sure, from the prevailing descriptions, you can assemble a whole ballad. Such constructions have entered people's lives so tightly that even the classics could not do without them, it is worth remembering "Romeo and Juliet", the balcony can be called one of the acting characters of this world-famous work.

The history of appearance can be called remarkable and interesting. In the Middle Ages, there were no toilets in the houses, so people had to correct the need using special utensils, and its contents often simply poured out the windows of the houses, right on the pavement. Because of this, the smell of cities was simply unbearable, and it caused a lot of inconvenience to passers-by. In Paris, a decree was issued prohibiting the pouring of slop without shouting about it three times, and a fine was provided for failure to comply with this law.

Even in the Louvre, the palace of the French nobles and kings, in those days it was impossible to find a single toilet. Guests and courtiers had to either squat on the wide window sills or demand a special vase. The use of windows was extremely inconvenient, so they began to make special windows to the floor, and so that the nobles did not fall out of them, they made a special barrier. Modern French balconies, of course, are not used for their original purpose, they perform the function of decorating the facade and emphasize the unusualness of the interior, but the original name was assigned to them.

Living in modern houses and using various items in everyday life, usually no one thinks about their origin, and yet everything has its own deep history. Much remains unchanged from its original image, and some items have changed so much that it is hard to even imagine what they were at the very beginning of their journey.
