Do-it-yourself seat heating from improvised means. Do-it-yourself seat heating: we consider a good example

Undoubtedly, we all love comfort and coziness, the presence of which can hardly be said, for example, in a car with a leather interior frozen in winter. And the question here is not in the upholstery, but in the inevitable discomfort in frosty times. Do-it-yourself seat heating is the best way to avoid this discomfort.

Important!

Installing car seat heating is a rather responsible matter, especially for those who are “you” with an electrician, therefore, in order to avoid force majeure situations, be sure to consult an electrician or an experienced installer of home-made seat heating systems before getting down to business.

Buy or make?

In the modern market of auto parts and accessories, you can easily find heating removable covers (capes) and even entire heated seats. Their low cost and ease of connection are undoubted advantages, therefore, if finances allow, as they say, do not show off and buy a ready-made version.

Of course, if there is no money for it, you will have to do everything yourself.

What you need.

  • Nichrome wire 0.5 mm in diameter and 10 meters long.
  • Relay.
  • Button.
  • Wires and connectors for mounting the heater in the car.

Do-it-yourself seat heating: instructions.

  1. First, you need to make 4 spirals from the wire: it is most convenient to do this with a wooden beam and two nails driven into it (without hats, they should be bitten off) at a distance of 4 cm from each other - just wind the wire around the nails in a figure eight, forming spirals.

  1. Find a piece of fabric, preferably denim, that is the right size for your car seat heating (approximately 30cm x 30cm). Using a sewing machine, stitch 4 rows of spirals parallel to each other to the selected fabric flap. Connect the spirals with wires. The power of such a heater reaches 40W. Connect the resulting structure through a relay to a power source (cigarette lighter).

Unfortunately, this type of seat heating, regardless of whether it is homemade or bought in a special store, has a number of fairly significant drawbacks.

  • There is a risk of getting burned, because no one gives a 100% guarantee that any of the wires will not fail, igniting right under its warmed owner.
  • Such covers are often characterized by uneven or spasmodic heating.
  • This heating element is connected to the power source through the cigarette lighter socket. However, at present, many drivers use this connector to connect a navigator, a DVR, etc., and a splitter in this situation cannot be a way out of the situation, because seat heating requires a considerable current consumption, which is disproportionate to several connections to the network at once, therefore the driver or his passengers will have to choose what is more important at the moment: warm up or drive according to the directions of the navigator, for example.
  • Another point: the considered heating option is very inconvenient to use due to the presence of wires in its design that interfere with the driver, and passengers from the rear seats do not have the opportunity to warm up in this way at all, unless, of course, you extend the wires leading to the relay.

Based on the described disadvantages of the above heating method, we will consider the built-in version of the heating elements. Such a solution to the issue can rightfully frighten many car owners, because, in addition to assembling the structure itself, the driver faces a difficult task in installing it. However, this option will solve many of your problems in one fell swoop (the wires are hidden, the interior has not been changed, the cigarette lighter socket will remain free, because all elements are connected directly to the car's wiring), providing an opportunity to warm up in winter frosts not only to the driver and passenger sitting in the front seat, but also to the “guests” from the back sofa.

How to make built-in heated seats with your own hands?

First you need to purchase the so-called backbone of the entire structure - heating elements. Why buy rather than make your own? The issue is your safety. Since the elements are built-in, and any inaccuracy in independent work cannot be identified and eliminated in a very short safe period of time, it is better and more reliable to use ready-made elements. Their choice is quite large. We will focus on the domestic manufacturer Emelya (Russia), whose product quality is not inferior to reliable Germans, and the price is much more pleasant.

Included with this set you will find an electronic temperature controller and protection against overheating.

The heating element in "Emel" is represented by an armored cable or carbon fiber.

Additionally, you will need:

  • Screwdriver Set,
  • wrenches for disassembling the chair,
  • plastic clamps,
  • scissors,
  • knife with interchangeable blades
  • insulating tape,
  • multimeter,
  • heat shrink tubing,
  • pliers, marker,
  • soldering iron,
  • double-sided tape (glue 88 is possible),
  • stranded wire 2.5 mm sq. section - for wiring.

To begin with, decide on all the control buttons and their fastening, so that if necessary (suddenly they will not be in their regular place) to purchase suitable for this car.

Now we can get down to business.

  1. Disassemble the seats: start with the headrest, then remove the plastic elements, then the seat upholstery, making room for laying heating mats. To remove the "back" trim, remove the plastic bushings for the head restraints.

  1. Attach the sheet with heating elements to the seat foam, marking its dimensional contours with a marker. Following the marked lines, stick strips of double-sided tape or use glue 88. If there is a temperature sensor, also install it on the foam rubber.
  2. Glue (attach) the heating mats to the space provided on the seats. Here you should pay special attention to the location of the wires. Do not forget that on the driver's seat they should be on the right, and on the passenger seat - on the left. Pull out the power wires.

  1. Install the "native" skin on the supplemented foam base, using plastic clamps in the places necessary for this. Also, return all plastic elements, head restraints to their original position and install the seats in their original places. In this case, the wiring should be laid in the places where the power supply and controls are connected.

A very important point: the wires leading to the heating mats from the regulators must not be laid tight, leave such a margin that will allow you to calmly move the chair back if necessary.

  1. It's time to connect the heating elements. In this matter, the instructions that come with the installation kit should help you. If she is not an assistant for you in connecting the unit to the on-board network, it would be better and more correct to turn to professionals for help. If you are confident in the correctness of your actions and are ready to try to deal with this stage on your own, we recommend that you pay attention to certain recommendations:

  • It is necessary to detect the power supply (12V), ignition and backlight circuits with a multimeter.
  • Connect the positive wire of the thermal relay to the ignition lock connector, which is powered only after the key is turned.
  • Connect the power cable to the positive terminal of the battery through the fuse.
  • Bring the negative wire to the "mass", to the cigarette lighter contacts - the button backlight wires.
  • All connections, of course, must be soldered and insulated. Then you can check the system.

Important point:a properly assembled system will only work when the ignition is on. Otherwise, you run the risk of not starting the car someday.

Only one question remained unanswered: what about the rear sofa of the cabin and its heating? For those who constantly travel with their family in a car, this is a very important point. But there is nothing complicated here either: the installation and connection of the rear seat heating system is similar to that described above. The only difference is that for one sofa you will need two sets of heating elements.

Video.

Many modern cars come standard with many useful options that should make the trip comfortable. One of these additions is heated seats. A warm chair will be especially appropriate in winter, when the temperature drops below 20 ° C. For men, prolonged contact with the cold surface of a car seat can lead to unpleasant illnesses. Therefore, with regular use of the car in winter, you can make seat heating with your own hands. It is possible to solve this problem in several ways.

Use of special capes

Today in the market of automotive accessories you can find removable devices for seat heating. They are covers or capes equipped with built-in heating elements. The main advantages of this method of heating the car seat are:

  • low cost;
  • ease of connection.

To install a cover or cape, you don’t have to go to a car service, even a novice car enthusiast can handle the job. But this type of seat heating also has several serious drawbacks.

  1. The main problem is the quality of the products. Car owners note cases when the cape ignites right under the driver. In this case, not only clothes deteriorate, but there is also a high risk of serious burns.
  2. Some covers and capes are characterized by uneven heating. Therefore, in some areas the temperature rises to 40˚С. Such heat adversely affects the reproductive function of a strong half of car owners.
  3. Another problem awaits a frozen motorist during the operation of heating capes and covers. The heating elements are connected to the on-board electrical network of the machine through the cigarette lighter socket. And today this connector is used to connect a DVR, GPS navigator, recharge a mobile device, etc. Using a splitter does not help in this situation, because the heating element has a large current consumption and the fuse simply will not withstand.
  4. The use of capes hides another hidden danger. Wires appear in the interior of the car, which can interfere with the driver while driving. And due to the insufficient length of the electrical wiring, it is not possible to use removable heating covers for car seats for rear passengers.

Benefits of built-in heating

Many car owners who are looking for ways to solve the problem of cold car seats are intimidated by built-in models due to the more complex installation. However, if you follow the recommendations of experienced motorists, then installing heated seats with your own hands will not be such a hopeless undertaking.

  1. The main advantage of built-in heating is the ability to connect not only the front but also the rear seats to the heat.
  2. The built-in heater is connected discreetly, the wires are hidden under the interior trim.
  3. The heating elements are connected directly to the car's electrical wiring, so the cigarette lighter socket will remain free.
  4. When the heater is introduced into the seat, the profile of the car seat does not change, so that the interior of the cabin does not deteriorate.

Choosing the optimal heating kit

The range of heating elements for installation in car seats is quite wide. The buyer can choose the best option based on the features of the car interior and self-confidence. Most often, motorists purchase products from Russian, German and Chinese companies. It is clear that they differ both in quality and in cost.

  1. Practice shows that the high price of German seat heating kits (like Weaco) is compensated by the highest degree of reliability. Heating systems are practical and versatile. They can be mounted not only on the front car seats, but also on the back. The heating element is equipped with several degrees of protection against overheating, and can also have two modes of operation.
  2. Serious competition for German goods is made up of domestic kits from such companies as Avtoterm and Teplodom. In terms of reliability and quality, Russian samples are practically not inferior to German giants. The heating sets are protected against overheating, and an armored cable is used as a heating element. Some models have an automatic shutdown feature in case of overheating.
  3. The most attractive price is products from China. Most often, this advantage is the only one, because Chinese heaters cannot boast of either quality or reliability. All the problems of cheap models arise from the use of the cheapest materials. Among the main problems with Chinese seat heating kits, motorists note:
    • frequent breakdowns of the power button;
    • wiring failure;
    • uneven heating of the seat;
    • electrical short circuit.

Seat heating installation sequence

Before you start installation work on installing the coolant, you need to pay attention to the size of the heating system control, as well as the method of attachment. The power buttons that come with the heating device do not always fit perfectly into the standard place on the dashboard. Sometimes the car owner has to purchase additional toggle switches or look for another place to install.

  • Despite the presence of protection against overheating, it is advisable to play it safe and prudently introduce a fuse into the electrical circuit. Then, in the event of a short circuit, the on-board network of the vehicle will not suffer. The wiring diagram for seat heating kits can be found on the Internet forums for motorists.
  • It is necessary to begin the installation of heating elements by disassembling the seat trim. This stage becomes the most difficult for the car owner, because it is important to remove the material without damage. Dismantling the car seat can take an unprepared person several hours. Approximately the same amount of time will be required to assemble the chair after installing the heater.
  • When connecting the installed heating, there are usually no difficulties if you act in accordance with the instructions and do not violate the manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Usually one set of heaters consists of two elements that will be used in the front seats. If you need to make the "heating" of the rear seats, you will have to purchase an additional kit. The rear seat heating is installed in the same way.

The function of seat heating is in every modern car. Practically everyone. If the seats in your car are not heated, does this mean that the car is defective? Of course not. Seat heating is a useful thing, but you need to know how to use it, otherwise a warm chair can do more harm than good. If, nevertheless, there is an irresistible desire to warm the body through the back, then you can install seat heating with your own hands. But first, let's see if it's worth it.

Woe from the heat

The Swedes were the first in the world to freeze. So much so that they installed the option of heated seats on the serial SAAB 99 back in 1979. However, the patent for the invention was not issued to the Swede at all, but to the American Robert Ballard back in 1955, and ten years later, warm seats were offered as an option along with Cadillac Fleetwood. Today, almost all cars can warm their owners and their passengers with their seats, and older car owners are trying to warm the car with their own hands.

Seat heating is a pretty useful thing, but not everyone knows that heat can sometimes be harmful. Cautious doctors even scare the loss of reproductive function in men, if the heating is not used according to the rules. In addition, doctors do not recommend using warm seats if the driver spends more than 4 hours a day behind the wheel.

Seat heater video

In this case, there is a direct threat to health, namely:

  • heating stimulates the growth of any tumors, including those that you don’t want to talk about, and with the slightest suspicion of the presence of oncological diseases, you can’t even think about warm seats;
  • loss of control over inflammatory processes can lead to edema and lymphostasis, which means that if there is any inflammation in the body, heating can aggravate the disease and lead to its severe form;
  • a sharp change in temperature can lead to an elementary cold, because sitting on a warm seat, the adequate perception of the temperature overboard is reduced, and a sharp cooling of the lumbar calving will not lead to anything good.

That's it, there will be no more horror stories. Our job is to warn. Now only about the good.

Structural solutions for heating

There are several of them, but the essence is the same - to ensure uniform heating of the seats with minimal energy loss and minimal interference with the car's electrical equipment. To do this, manufacturers have developed several options for warm seats, which are not fundamentally different, but have a different level of integration. The simplest of them is a cover cape. Such a heating system can be used on any car. There are models that can work from the cigarette lighter, but this is not very convenient. Wires dangle under your feet, there is a chance to arrange a short circuit. More complex sets involve connection to an electrical system. Heated covers are great because they are easy to put on and just as easy to take off. The bad thing about them is that almost all covers do not have adjustment. They are either on or off.

Built-in heating systems are much more difficult to install. To install such heating, you need to completely disassemble the seat, mount the heating element, remove the wires, and then assemble the entire structure back. Not every heat-loving driver will make such sacrifices. But those who dared to take this step have at their disposal a complete package of options for controlling the heating system.

Expensive models have a heating current regulator, short circuit protection, they may have a sensor that only works when the driver sits in a seat. Heating systems differ in the type of heating element. Cheap models are heated with filaments, and it is better not to install such systems, especially if they are not external, but built-in. If one thread breaks, the whole system stops working, you have to make repairs and completely repack the seat. Tape-type heating elements are preferable. Such devices are much more expensive, but they heat much better and are not afraid of thread breaks simply because they are not there.

DIY seat heating

There are quite a few sets for seat heating, so everyone can choose the one that he can afford. There are general recommendations for installing additional seat heating if it is installed regularly, and some questions may also arise when installing heating on a clean seat. Even expensive heated cars are not always equipped with a fully functional system. For example, on the Toyota Tundra, only the front seats are heated in the base, and then only in two modes.

The rear seat heating is installed separately, but you must take into account the load on the fuses and turn on the heating of the second row through a more powerful fuse. For cars that do not have heating in the basic configuration, but it is possible to install it optionally, you can always buy regular carbon heating mats from an authorized dealer. The seat heating system for Ford Focus 2 for officials will cost about 3 thousand rubles, along with regulators. voltage. It is installed according to the instructions and does not cause problems.

There is another option that is worth paying attention to for those who want to install cheap heating. Heating is installed on the Kia Rio in two trim levels, but rarely does anyone use it simply because after 10 minutes of work it is simply impossible to sit in a chair. Too warm. Therefore, before you make seat heating with your own hands, it is still worth considering how important this option is.

Now manufacturers offer drivers many options for completing a car. You can choose in advance which useful options your car will have. The most popular options among domestic motorists are such options as:

  • air conditioner,
  • electric windows.

Also, quite often, cars are understaffed with acoustic systems. But not everything is as simple as it might seem at first glance. The fact is that most music lovers will prefer to choose a system to their liking, and not a budget factory option. Although it is worth recognizing that more than good speaker systems are installed on premium cars.

But today we will not talk about them, but about such an option as heated seats. Every car owner, at least once sitting in a heated car, will want such an accessory in his car.

Attention! It usually takes no more than thirty seconds for a good heating system to make you feel like you are somewhere in the tropics.

Seat heating is of particular relevance for people suffering from various diseases of the back and cervical region. Sometimes it is enough to sit in a heated seat for 20 minutes, as all pains pass.

Unfortunately, not all cars still have the option of installing heated seats upon purchase. Typically, this restriction applies to cars of the middle and budget class. Moreover, even if available in the price list, this option is very expensive.

It is not surprising that every year more and more drivers decide to install heated seats with their own hands. This process is quite costly, but not particularly difficult. It is within the power of every motorist to implement it.

Heating types

It should be noted right away that in order to have warm seats in winter, it is not necessary to open the casing and independently connect the heating circuit. There are alternatives to avoid this. Of course, despite the advantages, this option was not without its drawbacks.

Special capes

This type of seat heating does not require any complex installation. It is enough to throw a cape on a chair, and you will provide yourself with warmth for the whole winter. At least that's how the concept looks at first glance.

In addition to covers on the market, you can also find special heated car seat covers. They are much more comfortable, as they have a better fixation, and will not slip on sharp turns.

Attention! Capes and covers have special heating elements that provide the driver with warmth.

In addition to ease of installation, the advantages of just such seat heating, which everyone can install with their own hands, include low cost. Unfortunately, it was not possible to do without shortcomings. The most important thing is the extremely low quality of the entire structure.

If you search the Internet, you can find more than one case where the cape ignited right under the driver. Moreover, such devices are characterized by uneven heating. In some areas, the temperature rises to 40 degrees.

Another significant disadvantage of a cape or cover is the connection method. To activate such seat heating, you need to use the cigarette lighter connector. Taking into account the fact that the average driver has a navigator, smartphone, video recorder, and so on in the car, this port becomes scarce.

Attention! Even a splitter is not able to help in such a situation. The fact is that this type of seat heating consumes too much electricity and the fuse simply does not withstand.

Also, do not forget about the wires that will definitely appear in the cabin as a result of buying a cape or cover. Cables can create an emergency, because at critical moments it is very easy to get tangled in them.

built-in heating

Of course, to install built-in seat heating, you will need to spend much more time. However, if you follow the instructions, the time required for this operation can be significantly reduced.

The main advantages of built-in seat heating include:

  1. Possibility of simultaneous heating of both front and rear seats.
  2. All wires are hidden under the interior trim, so you won’t get tangled in them.
  3. The system is connected to the vehicle wiring. Because of this, the cigarette lighter socket will be free. In addition, the onboard network may well cope with such a load.
  4. Since the heating is introduced inside the seats, the original interior of the cabin is preserved.

As you can see, despite some complexity in installation, built-in seat heating has a number of significant advantages that cannot be ignored.

Choosing a kit

Before proceeding with the installation of heated seats, you need to decide on the kit that you need. The most popular now are the products of German, Russian and Chinese brands.

Naturally, seat heating kits from leading German companies are considered the best in quality. But they are also priced accordingly. Of course, such systems are installed in both the front and rear seats.

Quality kits should have at least several degrees of protection. Also, high-quality seat heating systems usually have more than one mode of operation.

It should be noted that among Russian companies there are brands that provide high-quality and relatively inexpensive products. Suffice it to recall such giants as Avtoterm and Teplodom. Seat heating systems from these companies have protection, as well as high-quality heating elements. For greater reliability, they use armored cable. They also have an overheating protection function that turns off the device when a critical temperature is reached.

Seat heaters from China traditionally have the lowest price. Unfortunately, in most cases, goods from this country cannot boast of either a reliable design or a good security system. There are, of course, exceptions, but their price is not much inferior to their German counterparts.

When choosing a seat heating system, it is better to immediately buy a high-quality kit, since devices with a low price may have such defects as:

  • failure of the control button,
  • wire burnout,
  • short circuits
  • uneven heating.

Taking into account the time that you have to spend on installation, it is better to immediately buy a high-quality kit so as not to waste your energy on repairs.

Do-it-yourself heating

With some knowledge of electrical engineering, seat heating can be done independently. Nevertheless, the reliability and safety of such a design will not be very high.

To make seat heating with your own hands, take a nichrome wire with a diameter of half a centimeter. Form four spirals. To do this, use a wooden beam with two hammered nails at a distance of 4 cm.

Important! Make a perm with an eight.

Take a thick denim and on it connect all the spirals in a parallel way. The power supply must be at least 12V. The final indicator of the calculated power will be 40 watts. Also do not forget to install the relay in the heated seats, made by yourself.

Installation

Preparation

Any worthwhile business starts with preparation. After you have chosen and bought a kit for yourself, you need to take care of the selection of tools and materials that suit your task. To install a car seat heater with your own hands, you will need:

  • plastic clamps,
  • multimeter,
  • Screwdriver Set,
  • wrenches of different sizes,
  • scissors,
  • electrical tape and double sided tape
  • heat shrink tubing,
  • marker,
  • pliers,
  • glue,
  • soldering iron.

This is the standard set. Simply put, you cannot do without these tools during installation. But you should keep in mind that there are systems of varying complexity. Moreover, much depends on the basic package. Very often, cheap kits do not have the wires or fuse needed for installation. In this case, you will have to buy them yourself.

Attention! It is best to use stranded wire with a cross section of 2.5 mm2 as wiring.

Installation

Before proceeding directly to the installation, calculate in advance where you will install the control buttons. Also choose the appropriate type of attachment. After choosing a suitable place to install the manipulators, simply follow these instructions:

  1. Remove the chairs and disassemble them. You need to remove the headrest and also unfasten all the plastic pieces.
  2. Remove the seat upholstery. Usually it is fixed at the very bottom with metal rings. You can do without complete removal, the main thing is that you can safely install the heating elements.
  3. Remove the upholstery from the back of the seats. To do this, you will need to unfasten the plastic bushings of the head restraints.
  4. The heating element must be placed on the foam rubber and circle the contours with a marker. Then strips of double-sided tape are glued on them and glue is applied.
  5. Elements are fixed on the back and seat.
  6. Pull out the power wires.
  7. Reinstall the trim.
  8. Return the seat inserts and headrests.

At the very end, the seats are installed back, and the wiring is laid.

Connection

To connect seat heating, you need to use the scheme that will come with the kit. You can detect power circuits with a multimeter. In this case, the positive wire of the thermal relay is connected to the ignition switch, the negative cable goes to ground. The backlight of the button is connected to the cigarette lighter contacts.

Attention! All connections are soldered and insulated at the end.

Results

As you can see, every car owner can install seat heating. The main thing is to properly prepare for installation, collect the entire set of materials and tools, as well as purchase a high-quality heating system or make it yourself.

It is difficult to imagine a modern car without all sorts of little things designed to make the trip as pleasant as possible. One such addition is heated seats. Sitting in a cold car seat when it is thirty degrees below zero is not particularly pleasant, worse than this can only be landing in a chair upholstered in leather. Meanwhile, many car owners are forced to do this every winter. The solution to the problem can be the installation of seat heating with your own hands.

In auto shops you can find capes or covers with heating elements, as well as built-in heated seats. The first two options do not require complex installation and are usually affordable, while the installation of the latter causes a lot of difficulties. You can, of course, contact the workshop, where they will do the work quickly and efficiently, but the cost of services will please few people. The option with a cape or cover at first glance seems to be the most preferable:

  • low cost;
  • ease of connection

however, this method of heating is not without flaws.

Why recessed seat heating is better

The first problem is that the quality of many capes leaves much to be desired. It is not uncommon for a cape to catch fire right under a person sitting on it. The risk of getting burned is quite high, not to mention the fact that the clothes will most likely be damaged.

The second problem is that capes heat up differently. In some, the temperature reaches 40 degrees, and this adversely affects the reproductive function in men.

The third problem lies in the fact that there is usually only one cigarette lighter socket in the car, therefore, it will be possible to connect only the heating of the driver's seat, and passengers, as a rule, also ride in the car. You can, of course, use a splitter, but the current consumption will be too large, and the fuse in the splitter will not withstand. In addition, when using capes and covers, extra wires appear in the cabin, which can interfere with driving. It is out of the question to use the covers on the rear seats of the car due to the insufficient length of the electrical cable.

Hidden installation and connection speaks in favor of built-in heating, the ability to install only heated front seats or all available ones. In this case, the cigarette lighter will remain free, because. heating is connected directly to the wiring. Finally, when using a cape, the profile of the chair changes slightly, which can cause some inconvenience. It is also important that a cape or cover does not always fit well into the interior of the cabin.

Selecting a heating kit for installation

The range presented in the stores is wide enough so that each customer can choose the appropriate kit for DIY installation. These are mainly products of German, Russian and Chinese manufacturers. As practice shows, German kits (for example, WEACO) are the most reliable, their only drawback is their high price. But they are absolutely universal, they can be used in any car, both in the front seats and in the rear seats. Such heating has several degrees of protection against overheating and two modes of operation.

As an alternative to German products, domestic kits produced by Teplodom and Avtoterm have proven themselves well. Their products are not inferior to German ones in terms of reliability, consumer qualities are also quite high. All models of built-in seat heating are protected from overheating by means of a thermal relay, they use an armored cable as a heating element. Some models have an automatic shutdown feature in case of overheating.

The most affordable are Chinese kits. Perhaps this is their only advantage, since there is no need to talk about reliability. Due to the fact that the cheapest materials are used in their production to reduce cost, such seat heating kits can easily break the power button, burn out the wiring, and heating is often uneven. We must not forget that a burned-out heating can cause a short circuit in the car's electrical wiring or a fire in the cabin. It is not worth the risk in this case, since the savings are very doubtful.

Do-it-yourself seat heating installation

Before proceeding with the installation with your own hands, you should pay attention to the operating mode switch buttons that come with the kit, or rather, their size and method of attachment. The button from the kit may not fit into a regular place on the panel, and you may either have to buy the right amount suitable for a particular car, or choose another place for installation. Button options and installation locations can be seen in the photo:

Despite the fact that high-quality kits have reliable protection, it is better to play it safe and install a fuse. In this case, the on-board network will not be affected when the heating fails. The connection diagram is usually attached, but if necessary, it can be found on the Internet. For example, below is a typical diagram for VAZ 2110-12 cars.

The installation of seat heating begins with the installation of heating elements under the seat trim. This is the most difficult part of the job, as you will have to completely remove the casing in order to properly install the heaters. For an untrained driver, one seat usually takes about four hours. Installation of heating elements in the rear seats takes about the same time.

Connecting the heated seats, as a rule, does not cause any special problems. The scheme that the manufacturer gives is quite detailed and understandable even for beginners.

One kit allows you to install seat heating for the driver and front passenger. If you also need heated rear seats, you will have to buy another set. The connection diagram will remain the same, i.e. installation will not cause additional difficulties.
