How to make a wobbler from an iron cork. Do-it-yourself homemade popper from a syringe

Once I needed to make tiny (20mm) floating wobblers. And immediately a problem arose: wobblers made of ordinary wood (birch, linden, oak) sink, since the tree does not have sufficient buoyancy to keep the blade, tees, winding rings, primer, paint and varnish afloat. I had to "think about it" and the idea came to make a wobbler from ... an ordinary cork. A cork is taken (preferably solid, not glued) and a blank of any shape you like is machined from it. You can take any branded model as a basis, you can experiment yourself. I recommend to work more with a sharp knife, as this material is sanded quite badly.

A wide incision is made along the abdomen for the frame. The frame is a piece of stainless steel wire with loops at the ends. It is best to solder the loops. This will improve reliability. The next step is to glue the frame. Ordinary superglue (SuperGlue, supermoment, etc.) primed the inner surface of the cut. After a few minutes, a frame is inserted into the incision and filled with the same superglue. After drying, we reinforce with thin copper wire and prime the entire surface of the wobbler with superglue. The distance between the wire is 1.5-2 mm. We take dichloroethane (sold in electrical stores) and pieces of plexiglass (or rather plastic: I use from a ruler), dissolve plexiglass in a small amount of dichloroethane until a viscous homogeneous solution is obtained (the consistency of thick sour cream).

Fill the entire wobbler with the resulting solution. I recommend laying a thick layer - it is better to clean it up later than to apply it again. Let dry for a few days. Drying time depends on the density of the solution - the thicker, the faster it dries. The resulting wobbler is processed with sandpaper and needle files. It turns out a plastic wobbler with cork insides. We make a cut for the blade and glue it. I make the blade from plexiglass, with a thickness of 1 to 2 mm, depending on the size of the wobbler. We prime the resulting wobbler with a PF primer, after pasting the blade with masking tape. Then we paint.

There are a lot of ways to paint, but I use the most common one: using a spray gun (from a ballpoint pen refill and a disposable pen body) I apply paint. The paint is an ordinary car enamel in white or silver metallic color, to which dyes are added. I take dyes from permanent markers. After painting, I cover with several layers of varnish. I use two-component for painting cars. We also install accessories on the pond, where we correct the game of the resulting wobbler, correcting the nose loop to the right and left.

The hot summer begins to lose its strength. Very soon the temperature will drop a little and the long-awaited autumn will come, when the anglers will take up spinning rods. A huge number of baits will fly into the expanses of water, with only one purpose - to attract the attention of a hunting predatory fish. However, you should not give preference only to store spinners, wobblers and other fishing lures. You can make your own attractive tackle without much effort and expense, which will work great and bring decent catches. Today I want to tell you about how to make a catchy wobbler from a beer cork with your own hands, which is suitable for perch fishing.

To make a homemade simple wobbler you will need:
beer stopper;
paperclips;
2 small screws;
triple or double hook with winding ring;
swivel with clasp;
Styrofoam;
wire cutters.

The process of making a homemade wobbler with your own hands:
1. We take a beer cork and bite off 3 cloves on both sides as shown in the photo. You should get the tail and front blades.

2. Then we squeeze the rounded parts of the iron cork to each other with our hands. You should get a blank for the future wobbler. You can see her in the photo.

3. Cut off a piece of foam with a clerical knife and place it inside a homemade wobbler. This will help increase the buoyancy of the bait and excellent game when posting in a pond.
4. We make a hole in the tail blade and use a self-tapping screw to attach a swivel with a clasp and a hook.

5. We make a core from a paper clip, which will connect the tail to the front and will be attached to the fishing line. The photo shows how to fix this part of the wobbler.

6. It turns out an excellent homemade perch wobbler. Now it remains to go to the pond, adjust the slope of the front blade and enjoy catching striped predators.

You can always change a double hook to a triple one, add or remove a red plastic tail and, as a result of trial and experiment, achieve trouble-free catchability. I wish all anglers a warm autumn and good fishing. Do not be lazy and make your own fishing lures. Good luck!

Many fishermen know that the cockchafer is the most sought-after delicacy for chub, and for other fish too. The peak of activity of these beetles falls on May and the fish at this time are waiting for them under the branches of trees, where they fall into the water. But throughout the summer, the bite on this bait continues to be active as well. Many fishermen simply freeze Maybugs for fishing in the summer, but there is an easier way - to make long-lasting lures for spinning.

In this instruction, we will look at how you can very simply make a wobbler in the form of a cockchafer from improvised materials. As a basis, the author used an ordinary wine cork, which can be collected in places of recreation for people. All you need to do is cut out the desired profile and paint the bait, and here it already looks like a bug. For more detail, it is recommended to equip this bait with paws, like a real beetle. For these purposes, some craftsmen use thin elastic bands from underpants that need to be dyed black or brown. In the water, they will move, and imitate a real beetle. So, let's take a closer look at how to make such a tackle!

Materials and tools used by the author:

List of materials:
- cork from a wine bottle;
- a piece of plastic for the blade;
- stainless steel wire 0.8 mm thick;
- hook tee;
- lead for loading;
- Super glue;
- some sawdust;
- nail polish.

List of tools:
- hacksaw blade;
- sandpaper;
- stationery knife.

Lure making process:

Step one. Cut out the main profile
The most difficult part of manufacturing can be considered cutting the profile of the bait. In general, there is nothing complicated here, you just need to be patient and work with a clerical knife. The main thing here is not to rush, the knife is very sharp, and the material is hard. If you gape, you can easily cut your finger or hand.

We will make the profile the same as that of the body of the cockchafer. That is, it is wider in the front and narrower in the back. Consider the shape of the beetle's wings. Here it is important to find a picture of the cockchafer or even look for a real beetle to see how its body is arranged.

Step two. Grinding
Next, we arm ourselves with sandpaper and carefully process the surface. We need to make all shapes smooth, grind off sharp corners and so on. First you can work with a large sandpaper, and at the end use a small one. The cork is polished quite simply, though it quickly clogs the sandpaper.

Step three. Wings
Now we need to cut a line on the back, which will imitate the line of closing of the wings. Again, we use a clerical knife as a tool here. You need to work very carefully so as not to get hurt.

Step four. Place for weight
In the abdomen of the bait, you need to install a weight. It will be needed in order for our beetle to properly float on the water, that is, belly down, like a real beetle. Just cut out the desired hole for the weight with a knife. We select the weight so that it melts the beetle a little.

Step five. beetle skeleton
For the beetle, it is important to make a "skeleton" to which we will attach the tee. For its manufacture, the author used stainless steel wire 0.8 mm thick. We just thread it along the bait and make loops at the ends. Subsequently, a tee is installed in the tail section.

Step six. Sinker installation
The sinker can be installed, it is attached with superglue. Pour a little sawdust on top of the weight and fill them with glue. Thus, we will disguise the weight and additionally fix it. Once the glue is dry, simply sand the area with sandpaper.

At the end, the author made incisions on the belly with a hacksaw blade. We will need them in order to imitate the abdomen of a real beetle. White stripes will be applied here.

Step seven. Blade manufacturing
Since our tackle is a wobbler, we need to make a blade for it. Thanks to this blade, the beetle will make movements to the right and left when conducting, thereby forming waves on the surface. The frequency of the beetle's movement should be high for a better imitation. To make the blade, you will need a piece of sheet plastic, the author cut it out of a plastic bottle with scissors. We finalize the profile of the blade with sandpaper.

To install the blade, make a slot in the front of the bait, and then glue it with superglue. Do not forget to make a cut under the loop in the blade. That's all, technically our bait is ready, it remains only to color it.

Step eight. Coloring the bait
To paint the lure, the author used nail polish. We make the abdomen of the beetle black, and the wings brown. Next, white stripes and dots should be applied to the abdomen, like a real beetle. Be sure to draw the beetle and eyes. The author also drew a black dividing line between the wings with a needle.

It is advisable to cover the entire beetle with clear varnish after coloring to protect the paint.

Greetings to all DIYers!

The author devotes this article to a very interesting, and familiar craft like fishing to all of us. Indeed, for many of us this type of hobby brings a lot of positive emotions. Moreover, fishing is a powerful antidepressant. When you come to nature, to your favorite reservoir, then all everyday problems disappear like unnecessary garbage. We are already immersed in a completely different world, where we feel good.

Let's move on to the actual homemade.

Many of us use different types of baits. These are rotating and oscillating lures, and mormyshkas, and turntables, and poppers, and balancers, and many others, but we will talk about such a type of bait as a Wobbler.

All of the above baits can be easily bought at a fishing store. But it would be very easy and costly, because you and I can make our own home-made fishing bait without much effort and at a minimum cost.

To create a wobbler, we need.

Material:

Beer stopper;
- paper clips;
- Styrofoam;
- two small screws;
- swivel with clasp;
- double or triple hook with winding ring.

Tool:

wire cutters;
- stationery knife.

Well, let's start!
We pick up a standard cap from beer or from any other drink. Next, with the help of wire cutters, we bite off three notches on both sides. An example in the photo. This will be the so-called front and tail blade.

Then, with the help of hands, we squeeze both halves of the cork. We get such an unusual blank for the future wobbler.

Next, we take the foam and with the help of a clerical knife we cut off a piece from it. We put it inside the cork, so we will increase the buoyancy of the tackle.

Now you need to make a small hole in the tail part and, using a small self-tapping screw, fasten the swivel with a clasp and hooks.

Next, you need to make a core from a regular paper clip. It will connect the tail to the front, and will also be fixed to the fishing line.

More details are shown in the photo.

That's actually all done! We got a simple and unpretentious wobbler for catching perch and other predatory fish. It remains the case for small things, namely to go to your favorite body of water and adjust the tackle a little. This can be done by using the front and rear blades, that is, they will need to be bent or straightened, thus changing the movement in the water.
