Skyrim scarlet root nirn quest. Return to the roots walkthrough skyrim

The Return to the Roots quest will begin when Dovahkiin first discovers in Skyrim scarlet root Nirna or read Sinderion's diary. The diary lies in the researcher's field laboratory. If the plant is discovered first, a note will appear in the Dovahkiin's journal stating that it would be nice to research a new ingredient.

As a reward for the efforts, the protagonist will receive a unique expensive book "Discourses on the Root of Nirn" and a new talent "Sinderion's Surprise". The talent works all the time and gives a good chance (1:4) to create two potions in the laboratory instead of one.

Markers on the safes of the East Empire Company? Unfortunately there is no such mod. At least I didn't see it. Yes, and this quest cannot be completed, even if you find everything.

It's simple small mod for Skyrim, which allows you to display the location of the scarlet roots of Nirn for the quest "Return to the Roots". It has the same alchemical properties as the regular Nirnroot (except for the two damage effects). Like the normal Nirnroot, the Scarlet Root makes a buzzing sound to let you know when the plant is nearby.

The task starts after the main character accidentally finds the scarlet nirn root or after finding and reading Sinderion's diary in his field laboratory in Blackreach. If the plant is discovered first, a note will appear in the Dovahkiin's journal stating that it would be nice to research a new ingredient. Its properties are exactly the opposite of the properties of the normal nirnroot, with the exception of invisibility. The special value of this ingredient lies in the fact that a poison recipe containing this root will give you several times more powerful potion than any other.

The task starts after the main character accidentally finds the scarlet nirn root or after finding and reading Sinderion's diary in his field laboratory in Blackreach. If you somehow get there, then among the property of this alchemist you will surely find the heart of a Daedra. But we are not talking about them now. Scarlet root, meaning ..

You now need to collect 30 Crimson Nirnroots. They grow only in the emergency room, and considering that it is terribly dark there, you will have to strain your eyesight and run around the entire location. In addition, she gave me a permanent magical effect called Sinderion's Surprise.

"Return to the Roots" (Scarlet Roots of Nirn)

After reading the diary, we will need to find 30 scarlet nirn roots, I would not say that this is a very difficult task, the whole difficulty lies in the place of the search, because the Black Limit is very dangerous. Her home is east of Geirmund's Hall, near Ivarstead.

Avruza Sarethi, a former apprentice of Sinderion, saw the Scarlet Nirnroot I had collected and was very happy that I had managed to complete Sinderion's work. An elderly scientist stopped at the farm of a certain Avruza Sareti, who is revered in Skyrim as a specialist in plant alchemy. She has a lot to do on the farm, so I decided to help her. I was assigned to get 20 bunches of Jazzby grapes.

As a reward for completing the quest, Avruza will thank you by giving you a copy of the unique book Discourses on the Root of Nirn written by Sinderion. But most importantly, the protagonist will be rewarded with the Sinderion Surprise talent. This permanent unique effect, which gives a 25% chance to create two potions instead of one when practicing alchemy, will undoubtedly be very useful to anyone who is passionate about this art.

Such an unusual name has a plant in the game TES 5: Skyrim. It has a bright green color and grows near water bodies. Nirnroot can be recognized by its narrow, long leaves, glow (especially at night), and ringing sound. He and his scarlet counterpart have similar alchemical properties, resulting in various potions. Poisons made from this plant have the same characteristics as potions made from other ingredients. However, the former are much more expensive.

Historical data

Nirnroot grows near large bodies of water, but is quite rare. Imperial botanists claim that some kind of cataclysm affected its growth, and it cannot grow along roads (though it used to grow). Other plants were able to adapt to the new climatic conditions, and the magical nature of the root made it too sensitive to such changes.

Oh this one wonderful world- Skyrim! Nirnroot has a mysterious and soft blue, white-blue glow in it. Over time, he changed his nature for survival and learned to exist in complete darkness (Black Limit). How could this happen? Botanists believe that after the eruption of the Red Mountain, ash falling from the sky mixed with the soil. changed and appearance plants due to the presence of a rare substance - ash salt.

Ancient records indicate that the root is dying out, which is why they did not have time to fully study it. It would make a lot of useful potions, the impact of which is even difficult to imagine.

Where to looking for

You should be aware that all plants in the game after assembly grow again (after a while). The same can be said about Nirnroot. can be found on sale from the characters next to which there is an alchemy table. As mentioned above, it can only be plucked near large bodies of water. It is better to go at night to see the unusual glow of the plant (you can also focus on the sound).

  1. The largest number of roots (8 pieces) can be found at the Sareti farm. They will not be allowed to pick them up just like that, so you will have to negotiate with the owners of the site. Two more ingredients can be taken inside the house.
  2. Near the Half Moon Tavern, head southwest towards Hunter's Rest. In the middle of the path you will meet several ingredients.
  3. In search of a plant, it is worth walking near Riverwood.
  4. Four ingredients grow north of Dawnstar.
  5. Near Whiterun there are several logs, near one of which a root grows.

What happens if you eat an ingredient

Eating ingredients in food allows you to recognize them beneficial features. But at the same time, they have a negative effect on the character.

Nirnroot (Skyrim) can:

  • worsen health;
  • reduce endurance;
  • make the player invisible;
  • improve resistance against magic spells.

Trying an ingredient in Blackreach or Cyrodiil will decrease health, stamina, speed, or agility. It differs from its counterpart in that it does not have a positive effect when eaten. But the Cyrodiil plant allows you to make various poisons, and also disintegrates faster in the character's blood. Root re-grows in Skyrim, but not in Cyrodiil.

In the game world, you can find this type of plant, which differs from its fellow in gigantic size and red long leaves. This root grows in a single place - in Blackreach. It also emits a mysterious glow and an unusual sound. It is easier to search for this ingredient due to its size and distribution in a small area. The plant is located both near water and on land. At the same time, in some places you can only swim.

As mentioned above, the ingredient has standard properties, which is similar to the usual Nirnroot (Skyrim). The only difference is that when it is used, more stamina and health are reduced. The red plant is needed not only for making potions, but also for completing the quest, which will be discussed below.

Return to the roots

This quest is activated after reading Sinderion's diary or breaking the first one in Blackreach. The diary can be found inside the laboratory (small building) next to Sinderion's skeleton. From it you can learn that the traveler and explorer put a lot of effort into studying and collecting the plant. To create some kind of alchemical catalyst, he needed to find 30 samples. He did not have time to do his job, because he was killed by the Falmer (underground inhabitants, aggressive towards everyone from the surface).

The character will have to do the work of Sinderion - to find the required number of roots. They are evenly distributed throughout Blackreach near bodies of water. One plant can be picked in the laboratory, another one in the Silent Ruins tower. In search of other samples, you will have to go around the entire location. The good news is that looking for the Nirnroot is not difficult - its glow can be seen from afar.

When the last copy is found, the entire set will have to be taken to Avruza (on the Sareti farm). The character will tell her about the fate of Sinderion and give her the plants. In return, the woman will give a book that tells about the root, and will give the active effect “Sinderion Surprise” (the ability to create 2 potions at once with a 25% probability).

Requirements: Started quest Beyond the Ordinary
Quest starts: after reading Sinderion's Field Journal, or by taking Scarlet Nirnroot
Reward: Sinderion's Surprise Active

The quest is taken and the main part of it is completed in the Black Limit, the very one in which we find ourselves when completing the main storyline. If you haven't been there yet, go through the main story. And if it has already been passed, then I remind you of the location through which you can enter the Black Limit:

Immediately upon entering the ch.p. there will be a house in front of you, you go there:

In the house on the table we take the Scarlet Nirnroot (although you can take it anywhere else), and the task begins:

There will also be a diary nearby, read it.

You now need to collect 30 Crimson Nirnroots. They grow only in the emergency room, and given that it is terribly dark there, you will have to strain your eyesight and run around the entire location. Roots can be found anywhere (not just near water):

If it seems to you that you have already searched every corner, but you still haven’t found 30 roots (as I did), do the following: leave the location and scroll for 40-60 days (yes, a long time, but what to do). After about this much time, all the dungeons in the game are completely updated. We scrolled, and again return to the Black Limit, and again collect the roots (if they did not appear, then the days were scrolled a little).

After collecting 30 pieces or more, go to the Sarethi Farm:

Find Avruz Sarethi there, and talk to her first about the Crimson Roots of Nirn, and then say that you have 30 pieces.

Avruza will take them and in return endow you with permanent effect"Sinderion's Surprise":
