Complex vitamins. Which multivitamin to choose

Of all the options for printing on fabric, the most popular is printing on t-shirts. Branded items are used as:

  • everyday clothes;
  • element of corporate style;
  • souvenir products;
  • presentation/handout material for various events.

Print technologies

Printing on T-shirts is carried out using different technologies. Let's write briefly about the most popular.

Digital

Direct digital printing is a progressive technology for transferring a pattern quickly and without intermediate steps. Suitable for work with small circulations, single products.

Advantages:

  • high quality, gradient fills, detailed details;
  • no restrictions on the choice of fabric;
  • print resistance to washing / ultraviolet.

Disadvantages:

  • only hand wash T-shirt/fabric;
  • not suitable for large print runs;
  • prepress required.

With digital printing, there are no restrictions on colors and shades

Sublimation

Another name is direct screen printing. Suitable for circulations of 50-100,000 copies or more. The drawings are clear. In the manufacture of batches of 200 pieces, the cost is reduced.

Two types of paints are used: plastisol and water. They come with different effects:

  • drawings with sparkles - glitters;
  • image on dark fabric - etched paints;
  • three-dimensional patterns - foam;
  • the effect of gloss, gilding, silvering - metallized.

Sublimation t-shirt printing technology is only suitable for light-colored synthetics. The pattern is transferred to special paper, and then to the material using a heat press. At high temperatures, the ink evaporates, they penetrate into the fibers of the fabric, coloring it.

A high-quality print will turn out on a fabric with a synthetic content of about 65%. The higher the proportion of cotton, the faster the print fades when washed.

The sublimation process requires the following equipment:

  • heat press - with its help, the paint turns into a gas and is transferred to the material, giving it a given color;
  • computer / laptop - for searching, editing, printing images;
  • printer - inkjet models are suitable, for example, 4- or 6-color Epson;
  • paint - sublimation ink, absorbed into the fibers of the fabric under the influence of temperature;
  • CISS - provide a continuous supply of ink to the printer;
  • paper is an intermediate carrier with a loose surface, when heated, the pores expand, absorb the dye, then the paper cools, the pores close and keep the color inside.

As images, raster (RGB / CMYK, with a resolution of 200 dpi) or vector images (CMYK, mesh filling is not allowed, bitmap replacement is not allowed).

Industrial Sublimation Printer FT-1904X

Advantages:

  • no restrictions on image resolution/colors;
  • durability of the pattern (at least 50 washes), UV protection - the ink penetrates the fabric,
  • becomes part of the fiber;
  • practicality of the product - the T-shirt can be ironed, the pattern will not suffer;
  • low cost.

Disadvantages:

  • restriction on fabrics - only synthetic;
  • high price;
  • duration of the manufacturing process.

Sublimation technology for printing on T-shirts is one of the most affordable in terms of the price of the finished product. The average price range is from 10 (one-color printing, a batch of 50,000 pieces) to 200 rubles (full-color patterns, small circulation).

silkscreen

It is carried out both in the conditions of the printing house and at home. To work, you need a mesh stretched over a frame, ink, a stencil. The pattern is obtained by pressing. Silk screen printing is used when printing on T-shirts with various effects on fabric is required:

  • fluorescent patterns;
  • drawings in gold and silver;
  • three-dimensional ornaments;
  • printing on a T-shirt with reflective images / inscriptions; 3D, glitters.

The average circulation is from 50 to several thousand units. The larger the circulation, the lower the price.

Silk-screened photo of Homer and Margery

Advantages:

  • low cost;
  • high speed;
  • image stability;
  • the ability to create various special effects;
  • the compactness of the equipment used.

Disadvantages:

  • the complexity of printing photos;
  • duration of preparation;
  • applying the same patterns within the entire batch of products.
Silk-screen printing is suitable for applying inscriptions, logos and pictures in small print runs. Specially processed vector and raster files are used.

Thermal application

The color film is cut on a plotter and assembled into a single pattern by analogy with the application. The carrier is fixed on the T-shirt with a heat press. The technology is optimal for applying small inscriptions / logos.

Advantages:

  • wide selection of films different colors and invoices;
  • printing on T-shirts of any color - the shade of the fabric does not reduce the saturation of the image.

Disadvantages:

  • long term;
  • the complexity of the procedure.

The drawing is voluminous and clear

Thermal transfer technology

Modern method of indirect printing. Special transfer paper is used. The pattern is transferred to the fabric with a heat press, less often with an iron. High-resolution vector and raster files are suitable as source images.

You can print on transfer paper by silk screen printing, less often by offset.

Advantages:

  • multicolor pattern;
  • duration of storage of transfers;
  • high speed;
  • minimum restrictions on the choice of fabric.

Disadvantages:

  • lengthy preparation/configuration of equipment;
  • the impossibility of printing different images within the circulation.

T-shirt printing equipment

The choice of equipment depends on the technology. For sublimation you will need a printer:

  • manual - easy to operate, inexpensive, suitable for home use / small runs, cost - from 35,000 rubles;
  • semi-automatic - it is possible to dry the T-shirt during the intermediate stage of the process, the cost is from 60,000 rubles;
  • automatic - labor costs are minimal, all processes are debugged, printing speed is high, cost - from 150,000 rubles.

Iron on requires a digital/inkjet printer and a heat press. At home, it can be replaced with an iron.

Thermal transfer uses:

  • PC/laptop with graphics editor;
  • printer and scanner;
  • sublimation press - vertically folding (inexpensive, easy to operate) or rotary.

Direct digital printing requires an inkjet printer.

Results

  • Each printing technology has its own merits. Choose based on purpose/circulation.
  • Sublimation and silk screen printing are suitable for applying pictures with a circulation of more than 1,000 pieces. With single orders, the cost will increase significantly.
  • For batches up to 50 units - thermal transfer technology. It is also suitable when applying a pattern where direct printing on a T-shirt is not possible.
  • For urgent printing - printer transfer. The resulting image will not be very stable.
  • Images are prepared taking into account the requirements of a particular printing technology.
  • The type of equipment also depends on the specific technology.

There are several ways to apply images to fabric. Not all of these methods can be repeated at home, because. they require special equipment. Screen printing or silk screen printing, sublimation, thermal transfer or digital printing. The last type of printing will suit you.

What You May Need

To print a photo on a t-shirt at home, you will need the following materials: 100% cotton t-shirt, preferably light or white color, digital version of the photo, inkjet (this is very important!) printer, thermal transfer paper, iron and scissors.

Transfer paper can be purchased at computer stores and office supply stores that sell related products.

A white 100% cotton T-shirt is needed because synthetics may not withstand high temperatures during the translation of the photo, and the white color of the fabric will hide the white background of the paper. However, if you can find colored thermal paper and a T-shirt to match it, you can use it.

Work process

Select the image you want. You can make a collage or caricature in a photo editor. Then display the photo in mirror image and save. This is especially important if your drawing has inscriptions.

Insert thermal paper into the printer and print a photo. Let it dry for about an hour. Trim off any excess around the edges of the photo. If the image is square or rectangular, then cut straight along the edge, departing from the pattern by 5 mm. And if the drawing does not have clear contours, then simply round off the borders and make the lines smoother.

Lay the printed image face down on the T-shirt. Heat the iron to high and iron the paper for 3-5 minutes. Gradually increase the pressure on the paper. Pay special attention to the edges of the image. Wait for the thermal paper to cool before gently removing it from the T-shirt. To do this, gently grab the corner of the paper and pull. Do not make sudden movements, sudden jerks. If you see that the paint does not all remain on the fabric, but stretches from the paper, put the film back and iron it well again.

It is believed that such T-shirts should easily withstand up to 50 washes before the pattern is erased. Practice shows that you can definitely afford without fear and risk of 20 washes, and then - how lucky.

Textiles with various prints have long ceased to be in short supply. Various manufacturing companies offer a myriad of products. But today we will talk about whether it is possible to print on T-shirts at home, whether it is possible to make an exclusive item on your own. If the drawing can be printed on paper, then why not transfer it to the fabric? Let's try to create unique clothes with our own hands.

What will be needed for work?

To transfer a photo to textiles, you will need:

  • Color inkjet printer.
  • T-shirt.
  • Iron.
  • Thermal paper.

Important! The printer must be used only inkjet.

  • Printing fabric must be taken good quality- cotton, without synthetic threads.
  • Another important nuance. It is desirable that the fabric be white. Thermal paper has one feature: the pattern transferred from it to the fabric will be on a white background. There is also colored thermal paper on sale, you can choose it to match the shade of the fabric. However, it is not cheap.

Important! It is important that the thing sits on you not tight, but relatively loose. Otherwise, the image will crack very quickly.

Getting Started with Thermal Transfer

How to print on T-shirts at home? The technique is in many ways reminiscent of children's decals. The only difference is that to “translate” the picture onto the fabric, you will need not water, but a heated iron.

The procedure is as follows:

  • Using a printer, print out the picture that you are going to transfer to textiles. Trim off unnecessary paper around the edges of the image.

Important! Before printing, using a graphics editor, flip the image “mirror”. In this case, it will be displayed on the fabric correctly. This is especially important for text.

  • Lay the t-shirt on the ironing board, iron the area where the pattern will be applied.
  • Place the thermal paper on the front of the T-shirt, face down.
  • Heat up the iron as hot as possible. Iron the paper with an iron for 3-4 minutes.

Important! The soleplate heats up the most in the central part, so use it.

  • Leave the thermal paper to cool down. Then carefully remove it from the fabric by pulling on the corner.

Important! If you see that the paint does not cling to the fabric, but to the paper, repeat the procedure again.

Do you need it?

It is generally accepted that handmade items will cost less than factory-made products. You can’t argue with the laws of political economy - most often, this is true. With a print on T-shirts, this number does not work.

Do-it-yourself T-shirt printing is an exception to the rule:

  • A pack of special paper costs about 15 USD. e.
  • Add to that the cost of buying a T-shirt. The cotton needs to be of good quality. On cheap Chinese things, the print quality will be appropriate.

Important! Most likely, you will have to purchase several T-shirts, since the first pancake will come out lumpy. And not the fact that only the first.

As for the services of professional drawing an image on a product, the cost of the work is only 3 USD. e. In addition, using a heat press to process a pattern cannot be compared with an iron. The image is much more stable.

Care

A T-shirt with a thermal transfer print is rather capricious in care:

  • You can wash it in the machine, but at a temperature not exceeding 30 degrees.
  • Before washing, the item must be turned inside out.
  • The product is ironed at medium temperature, covering the pattern with tracing paper.

Important! At good care such an image will retain its original appearance even after 20 or more washes.

footage

In principle, if you like to conduct various experiments at home and do needlework, then printing on T-shirts at home will be for you. interesting experience. And whether you will continue to have a desire to transform your clothes in this way or not - it already depends on how well everything turns out and in what style in general you are used to dressing. In any case, good luck if you plan to bring this idea to life!

Today we will talk about how to apply a drawing or an inscription on a T-shirt or fabric with your own hands at home. We will also consider the methods and technologies for applying a pattern on a T-shirt using a printer or manually.

If you can't afford to print on a T-shirt, you can do it yourself with a print on fabric. If you still can't believe it, then you can check the instructions right now. In order to print on fabric with your own hands at home, you need quite a bit. Believe me, printing on a home printer on fabric is possible!

What you need to print on fabric at home:

1. Inkjet printer

2. A4 sheet

3.White cloth

5. Scissors

6. Hairdryer or iron (iron is more efficient)

DIY fabric printing process:

1. Iron the fabric and stick to a sheet of paper.

2. Make sure that there are no lint and nothing sticks out on the sheet of paper. (If you treat this item carelessly, the printer may be damaged)

3.Select a photo on the computer and print it.

4. Dry with a hairdryer, if there is no hairdryer, attach paper and iron gently.

5. Cut out the resulting pattern.

6. Everyone can now use this drawing for their own purposes.

7. Do not erase the drawing, the paint may blur.

Drawing on a T-shirt with your own hands
To put a beautiful picture on a T-shirt, it is not at all necessary to be an artist, you just need the desire and the presence of a pair of fairly straight hands.
First of all, it must be said about the methods of drawing a picture available at home. I will highlight the main ones:

1) Thermal transfer
Required:
- jet printer
- thermal transfer paper
- iron

The main advantage of this method is that absolutely any drawing can be made, but, unfortunately, it will not last long. After two or three washes, everything cracked and began to crumble. It can turn out better only if you have a heat press, but, as a rule, only ateliers have such.

2) Aerosol paints Required:
- can(s) of paint
- stencil

There are a lot of such paints, there are even special ones for fabric. Drawing with their help can be applied, as a rule, only with the help of a stencil. Personally, I have had experience using universal graffiti paint for all surfaces (Moptapa). It turns out well, but there are subtleties, about them later.

3) Textile paints
Required:
- paint for textiles (water-based acrylic) (Magabu, Oeco!a)
- cotton T-shirt (up to 20% synthetics)
- brushes
- iron
- stencil (optional)

Personally, I came to the conclusion that this is the most reliable way. The T-shirts that I made this way have already lasted much more than two or three washes.

If you do not have the talent of an artist, then you cannot do without a stencil, and this method of drawing a picture has its limitations. It is best to find a ready-made stencil on the Internet and print it out, but if you wish, you can draw it yourself or make it from a regular photograph (this is a separate conversation). Unfortunately, home printers usually cannot print on a sheet larger than A4, but the image can be divided into several sections of the same (!) Size and printed separately to make the drawing larger, then simply glue it with tape.

It is best to use self-adhesive for the stencil, then you can separately cut out small details and then stick them in the right places, besides, you will not accidentally knock the stencil off the T-shirt (the self-adhesive will not leave marks on the fabric, don't worry). I advise you to cut the stencil with a special paper cutter - it should have a sharp blade beveled at an angle, preferably a replaceable one, and a round handle.

The drawing was found, the stencil was cut out, pasted, now the actual painting. For a light fabric, even one coat may be enough, while for a dark one, at least two or three coats of paint will be needed. Layers must be applied thinly: if in the end there is too much paint, it will crack, or even crumble. Each layer should be allowed to dry (about an hour) before applying a new one. It is not worth diluting the paint - if it is too liquid, it can spread over the fabric in a stain.

When all the layers are dry, it remains only to remove the stencil and fix the paint. To do this, you need to turn the T-shirt inside out and properly iron the pattern with an iron at the maximum temperature for about 5-10 minutes.

That, in fact, is all! T-shirt is ready! It remains only to add a few words about spray paint: this is a good and convenient method, although I personally have not been able to spray paint a black T-shirt so that the paint does not crumble later. Perhaps my mistake was that I didn’t think of applying the paint in layers then, but poured a bunch of paint in one go. However, on light fabrics, the method works fine.

To paint a black T-shirt with our own hands, we need:

- knitted T-shirt
— paints for drawing on dark fabric Javana Tex Opak
— paint colors "metallic" Javana Effekt Metallic
- fine fabric marker, outline, brush, printout with a pattern, bar of soap (chalk)

T-shirts need to be washed and ironed first.

We print the drawing on a printer and transfer it to the fabric as follows: first we cut out the largest elements (in this case, squares), apply them to the fabric and trace around the contour with a thin bar of soap or chalk. If the fabric is light, then you can use a disappearing marker, which then disappears on its own.

Choose desired color paint, it could be classic colors, or paints with special effects: metallic, with glitters (sparkles) or neon. For light fabrics, it is better to use paints specially designed for light fabrics, they do not “roughen” the material so much, for dark fabrics - paints on dark fabrics (they perfectly “cover up” the color of the fabric).

We apply paint on a pre-drawn picture, and if we see that somewhere through the applied paint the fabric is visible, we draw the second layer after the previous one has completely dried.

To give the drawings a neat look and completeness, we outline them with a contour on the fabric, and also draw eyes and other small elements using a thin marker on the fabric.

Let the finished product dry and fix the pattern with an iron from the inside out (5 minutes, cotton mode). The paint for drawing on fabric is resistant to UV, as well as washing, so the T-shirt can be washed at temperatures up to 40 * C.
Any person at least once in his life wants to have in his wardrobe a T-shirt that no one else has. In order to achieve this result, it is enough to put your picture on a T-shirt. To make a design on a t-shirt, the first step is to find a t-shirt that is suitable for this. In addition, you need to buy a special film for the printer and an acrylic marker. After that, you need to find a suitable drawing.

This can be done using a computer or search on other resources. When the drawing finds it, it must be turned upside down. Since this is necessary in order to print it correctly. In addition, you must remember that the film must be inserted into the printer smooth side. After the design is printed, it can be applied to a T-shirt.

To do this, you need to put the design on a T-shirt and smooth it until the ink from the film is absorbed into the fabric. All the preliminary outline of the future drawing is ready. Now you need to let the shirt dry. When the drawing is dry, you can start using an acrylic marker. First, circle the outline of the drawing with a marker. If the pattern is applied to a thin fabric, then it is advisable to glue a special self-adhesive paper on the reverse side.
Printed t-shirts are quite popular. Drawing can make a simple T-shirt unusual, original and individual. In addition, it can be an unexpected gift, a pleasant surprise. Print can be applied industrial way to order, however it is quite expensive pleasure and the choice of designs is limited. Therefore, many are interested in how to make a drawing on a T-shirt at home.

You will need:

· jet printer,

· Thermal transfer paper,

single color t-shirt.

First of all, you need to choose, or at home, create your own drawing in Photoshop. Choose the size of the picture so that it fits well on the T-shirt. After that, the drawing must be reflected. When printed on a T-shirt, the pattern will again be upside down and positioned correctly.
The prepared drawing is printed with an inkjet printer on thermal transfer paper. You can find this paper at printer supply stores. Please note that for black and white fabric at home, you need to use different paper. After printing, cut out the pattern along the contour.

Iron the T-shirt well to make the fabric even, without wrinkles. Lay the cut out pattern on the fabric, pattern side down and checkered side up. We press the pattern on the T-shirt with an iron. Heat the iron to the maximum temperature. The iron must be without steam. The iron is held for about a minute, then allowed to cool. After that, as from a decal, carefully remove the paper.

You can make an original drawing on a plain T-shirt using a special printer that applies the drawing directly to the fabric. However, such a printer is too expensive, it can only be used in industrial environments, and not at home. Warming up thermal transfer paper, of course, is better with a press. The drawing heats up uniformly, especially if you are applying a large painting. But, if you make a small print, then at home an iron will be enough.

Where to begin?

Naturally, you need to start with marketing research, which is unlikely to take you much time. Just log on to the Internet and scroll through the sites that sell t-shirts in your city by typing "buy a t-shirt" in the search engine. Check out the products they offer and check out the prices they charge for them.

And then sit down and think:

A) Can you make a competitive product?

B) how much can you sell what you make?

Q) Would you like to do this for the next year or two of your life?

D) how much do you plan to earn per month, and how long will it take to do this?

If it turns out that all the answers make you optimistic, then feel free to proceed with the implementation of our proposed idea. And for this you will need: your ability to draw, the cheapest website that can be ordered for as little as $ 100, or even open at all on some portal with a free website builder, some paint and a couple of T-shirts.

The price of paint for painting T-shirts ranges from $10 to $30. And one T-shirt without graphics costs only $1. We have already calculated the cost of the finished T-shirt, and it did not exceed $ 2 for us. And if you consider that the price of an average author's T-shirt in RuNet starts at $20, then you can safely start calculating profits.

Where can I get a drawing?

Do you remember what this article is called? The phrase “How to make money for those who can draw” was put into the title not by chance, if only because the main conditions for the successful promotion of such a business are the level of your talent and the originality of your ideas. It is originality that those who wear them look for in T-shirts (and this is almost 90% of modern young people and about 40% of middle-aged people). And if so, then until you have at least one really interesting and unusual design for a T-shirt, there is no point in moving on - you are almost guaranteed to fail.

Although a way out can be found in this case. You don't have to embellish your T-shirt with intricate Celtic crochet or intricate multicolor designs. Sometimes it is enough to make a memorable, attention-grabbing inscription. So an Internet entrepreneur from Tver managed to sell more than 15,000 T-shirts, decorated with a slogan he invented:

And I don't care.

Therefore, be original, otherwise you will never take a worthy place in the market for the sale of handmade T-shirts.

Marketing researches have shown that only for 18% of our compatriots who try to dress according to the requirements of modern fashion, the brand of clothes they wear matters, for the rest, originality is much more important. Therefore, if you can come up with and bring to life something truly extraordinary, then you can safely count on success.

How else to make a drawing on a T-shirt with your own hands?

And so you came up with a picture, logo or slogan, and it's time to transfer it to a T-shirt. You choose the color of the T-shirt, as well as its texture, on a variety of sites offering T-shirts of all sizes for coloring and printing. After buying a few, you go to an art supply store and buy acrylic paints for fabric - in an inexpensive set you will find 8 jars with 8 flowers.

At home, stretch the T-shirt on a fabric-covered board and use a pencil to draw the outline of your future design on it. Now you can paint over, fixing the paint with an iron. This lesson is simple, and in time it will not take you more than an hour, even with the most intricate drawing. So you can already estimate your future profit by counting how many T-shirts you can make in a day.

You will read more about the technique of applying patterns on T-shirts on the package with paint, specifying both the heating temperature of the iron and the time required to fix the pattern.

If we talk about prices, then a truly original and truly exclusive T-shirt can cost 50, and 70, and even 120 dollars. It all depends on the creativity and quality you put into it.

We strongly advise you to observe all the technological nuances required both for high-quality drawings and for fixing them. Remember that trading over the Internet is fraught with the fact that very soon reviews about your products will appear on different sites and blogs, and woe to you if they turn out to be negative. The fact is that, according to statistics, more than 95 percent of people who buy via the Internet first look for reviews about the selected product, and only then decide whether to pay for this product or not.

Or is it better to order printing on T-shirts?

But if you do not want to turn into a handicraft artisan, then know that many companies are engaged in applying designs to T-shirts. The average price for such a service ranges from 1-3 dollars (depending on the batch), and you can order printing there on at least one T-shirt, at least a thousand.

But be very careful with the choice of a company that will undertake to print T-shirts according to your sketches. The fact is that very often the owners of such firms, having completed the order, leave the sketches of customers to themselves in order to start printing T-shirts on them for themselves - for their own enrichment.

How and where to sell original handmade T-shirts?

And then you will need a site where you place the goods you have made. We have already said that you can order it for only 3a 80-100 dollars, or even do it for free. However, we did not say that the site will need advertising, without which your poor buyers will never know about it. We assume that you do not have money for advertising, and therefore we want to give advice - advertise your site yourself, talking about it on various forums or social networks.

Or, offer your product to some already existing online store, which, if the T-shirts you made are in demand, will want to count on you as a permanent supplier.

You can also try to sell your product in real life. You can do this through your friends who trade in shops or markets, or even start trading yourself. And you can sell your T-shirts at the institute where you study, at your work, or even in a nightclub. There, by the way, such a product goes with a bang and costs much more than with Internet sales.

You can also sell T-shirts made by you on the following exchanges, whose clients are both buyers, wholesalers and T-shirt manufacturers from all over the world
