Rosebud from Foma. Rosebud from foamiran: step-by-step master classes

Often, to create flower arrangements, brooches, hairpins or headbands, not only blooming buds are required, but also small ones. In this master class you will learn how to make a bud from foamiran with your own hands. As an example, let's take some of the most popular flowers: rose bud, lily bud, mallow bud and eustoma. The lily bud will be quite large in size, so it is better to use it for making compositions. The remaining flowers are smaller and suitable for the design of foamiran jewelry.

How to make a lily bud from foamiran: step-by-step photos

What we need to start making a lily bud:

  • white and green foamiran;
  • foil;
  • orange stick for manicure;
  • thin and thick wire;
  • oil and dry pastels in pink and green shades, wet wipes and a sponge;
  • tape.

To create a bud, we first make this base out of foil. The size can be varied as desired. In total, we will need several of these bases for the buds.

Apply three strips of hot glue to the foil base and let them cool.

Then you need to take a piece of white foamiran and paste over the base.

This is the bud we got. We tone it with pink oil pastels and treat the tip with tape.

These are the buds I prepared for my branches.

Cut out leaves from green foamiran. You can make them in different sizes. But calculate the number of leaves; 2-3 leaves should be placed near each bud and flower. Since I will be placing the twig in the bouquet, I will attach the leaves only under the buds. If you just want a sprig of lily, there must be leaves under the flower.

Using a stick we apply the veins of the leaf.

We take two types of oil pastels and tint the leaf with a sponge on both sides.

Then we stretch out the edges of the lily leaf a little, folding the leaf in half.

We glue litons all over the sheet.

Since the lily's trunk is not thin, and I don't have such thick wire, I use cocktail sticks. Well fixing the wire with the bud into it.

Before we start attaching the leaf, we lightly color the bud and sepal with green pastel. We make 2 – 3 turns of tape and apply the sheet. Then we wrap the sheet and after the sheet we make 2-3 turns.

Then we apply the second sheet and fasten it against the first sheet. We do 2-3 turns again.

So we continue to attach the lily buds. The number of them will depend on what kind of branch you would like to receive.

Foamiran bud of mallow flower

Take the foil and form a ball for the base of the bud. From green foamiran we cut out the sepals for the bud. Cut out 2 x 4-leaf squares and rub them between your fingers.

We attach the base of the bud to a wire and cover the base with sepals so that the foil is not visible. We treat the wire with foamiran or tape tape in several layers.

Rosebud made of foamiran: two design options

Rosebud is one of the most popular. It is used to decorate many products and compositions made from foamiran, because the rose is a universal flower and can be combined with almost any type of flower. In this part of the master class we will see how to make a rosebud from individual petals and using a universal pattern.

How to make a rosebud from individual petals

What do we need to start making a rose bud?

  • yellow marshmallow foamiran;
  • foil;
  • thin and thick wire;

From yellow foamiran we cut out petals in the form of droplets, of different sizes for the rose. For the bud we will need 3 small petals and 4 larger petals. We process them by ironing them and heating the edges with a lighter, slightly curling the petals more

We make a base for a rose in the form of a droplet from foil and glue the base to the wire.

We take two petals and glue a drop of foil, glue the petals one against the other, covering the foil, cover the remaining foil with the third petal.

We take larger petals and glue them in a circle at the same level in height, slightly overlapping.

Rosebud from a universal pattern

What we need to start making a foamiran bud for a rose:

  • lilac foamiran;
  • foil;
  • thin and thick wire;
  • hot glue, as well as universal or instant glue.

From lilac foamiran we cut out 3 universal petal circles for a rose bud.

To assemble a rose bud, prepare the base of the flower from foil (take a 10*30 piece of foil), squeeze it well and level it. Then we coat the entire foil base with glue from a hot-melt gun so that the bud becomes even.

Then we glue the base with a small petal circle, the petals of which are not curled, so that the foil is not visible. Take the next petal small circle and glue it so that the flaps of the petals look outward. The petals should be located on the same level as the petals of the first row; if necessary, the petals can be slightly pulled up or, conversely, tucked in at the base.

We coat the third and fourth petal circles at the base, lift the petals and press them to the base. Apply glue to the petal circles so that the petals are staggered. We glue large petal circles to the base, arranging the petals in a checkerboard pattern. If necessary, you can lift the petal and glue or press it to the base. Here is our foamiran bud is ready.

How to make an eustoma bud with your own hands: MK

What do we need to start making an eustoma bud?

  • white and green foamiran;
  • foil;
  • thick wire;
  • hot glue, as well as universal or instant glue;
  • oil and dry pastels in green shades, wet wipes and a sponge;
  • tape.

For the eustoma flower bud, cut out 5 petals measuring 1.5 cm in the form of a droplet. We also prepare a base in the form of a droplet of foil or glue a wire from foam. We fold the petals like an accordion, rub them between our fingers, straighten them without pulling too much.

Glue all 5 of them together so that the top of the petal converges and the bottom diverges. With the resulting “fan” we paste over the base – a droplet.

To make a wreath you will need:

Thin wire No. 26-28 for buds and leaves and thicker wire for the base of the wreath.

Pliers with wire cutters

Tape tape

Foamiran (plastic suede) 2 colors

Hot gun

Second glue

Nail scissors

Leaf mold (optional)

Paints (optional)

For the buds, you can use any color of foamiran from the proposed palette, or you can paint it, as we did, with a slight color transition, which will make the flowers lively). From a sheet of foamiran we cut small petals, 1-1.5 cm high (on the basis that one rose will take 6-8 petals).

We apply each petal to an iron heated to 100 degrees and twist it, then straighten it and give it a rounded shape. This is what happens))

Now you can start making roses) We “bite” the thin wire into 4-5 cm long pieces. And at the end of each piece we make small loops. We take a wire and glue the first petal onto a hot gun, twisting it into a tube, thus closing the loop))

Glue the second petal in the same way, wrapping it around the first. The third one follows the same pattern. There are three petals in the photo.

Add petals. Try to glue them so that they are all at the same height and fit quite tightly to each other)

The bud begins to gradually open, so we glue the petals not so tightly) There are 8 petals, the flower is ready)

Now we will make leaves and sepals. Using nail scissors, we cut out blanks for leaves and sepals from a green leaf.

Like these ones.

We make notches along the edges of each workpiece with scissors.

We apply the blanks for the sepals to the iron and twist them.

Iron the leaves, then press them against the mold, which creates the texture of the leaf)

Straighten it and get this beauty))

Now let's connect everything together. We put a sepal on the wire and fix it with hot glue.

Glue the leaves to the wire using instant glue. Ready bud with leaf)

We make a lot of these buds and leaves; of course, you will need much more of them for the wreath than in the photo.

Now we begin assembling the wreath. We attach the buds to a thick wire and wrap them with tape.

We continue to apply buds and leaves, fixing them with tape. Determine the number of colors and density of the assembly yourself))

We complemented the wreath with large white roses from the same material)

At the ends of the wire on which the wreath was assembled, we make loops and attach ribbons, which will allow you to adjust its size. The wreath is ready))

Foamiran ( abbr. fom, foam from English foam - foam) is an unusual material consisting of ethylene and vinyl acetate. It is used to create fakes, toys, flowers. The material has an elastic structure, which allows it to be stretched to the desired shape. Positive qualities of fom are also: color constancy over a long period of time, resistance to water, soft to the touch structure. Step-by-step instructions for creating a rosebud from the most ordinary foamiran are included in our article!

Learn how to make a delicate rosebud from foamiran with your own hands

It is very easy to work with the fom; it easily takes the desired shape. Flowers made from this material are especially beautiful and natural. In order to quickly and easily learn how to create bouquets from foamiran, a detailed master class has been prepared for beginning needlewomen.

So, for a rose bud you will need:
  • Foamiran green and any other color you like.
  • Glue gun.
  • Foil.
  • Wire or skewer for the stem.
  • Scissors.
  • Paper and pencil for the pattern.
Step-by-step instructions for creating a rosebud from foamiran:
  1. To initially decide on the size of the rose, you need to create a base (the middle of the bud) from foil or plasticine. To do this you need to twist a small drop. Then connect it to a skewer using glue or simply pierce the base.
  2. Templates for the parts should be prepared. On thick paper, draw 2 drops of different sizes and a star for the future sepal. On a larger leaf, the sharp corner must be cut off. After that, cut them out and transfer them to foamiran. Cut out the required number of parts for the flower.
  3. To make the future rose look more realistic, the petals should be twisted (crushed) and stretched a little. If desired, the material can be decorated with watercolors.
  4. Sepals are very easy to make. Cut the teeth of the cut out star, making them slightly torn, and also twist them.
Assembling the bud:
  1. It is necessary to start the process with small details. Apply a small amount of glue to the middle of the petal and wrap the base (foil) so that the sharp corner touches the stem.
  2. Stepping back halfway from the first petal, glue the next one in the same way.
  3. When the base is completely wrapped in foamiran, turn the rounded edges of the remaining parts slightly inside out and glue them using the same principle. The number of petals depends on the desired type of rose. It may not yet have blossomed or may already be fully blooming.
  4. Coat the middle of the prepared sepal with glue and glue it to the base of the rose. Fix the cloves closer to the bud.

Several options for creating a composition from foamiran

Foma flowers turn out very beautiful. They can decorate a vase, photo frame, basket, flower pot, make a wreath, etc. Ready-made flowers can be glued to any object. Modern fashionistas line their handbags with such decorations.

Video on the topic of the article

From a material such as foamiran you can create many interesting and unusual fakes, jewelry, etc. This concludes the master class. All that remains is to wish the needlewomen good luck and fruitful work.

To understand the whole process of creating such a masterpiece as a rosebud from wonderful foamiran, appropriate videos were selected. After reviewing all the material, every handmade lover will be able to make an excellent composition for her collection.

Artificial flowers are not necessarily boring plastic inflorescences in too bright colors. Flowers can be made from anything! Beads, plastic bottles, paper, fabric, ribbons. And, of course, the king among all these materials is foamiran. That's what flowers come from, as if they were alive, it's from it! Roses are especially beautiful. How to make a rosebud is a separate topic; here you need to slightly change the course of work and technology.

Master Class on a rosebud from foamiran

Choose the desired color of foamiran for your roses and buds and be sure to have a good iron and glue on hand (preferably a glue gun). Also place a piece of foil nearby for the base of the buds. Well, and scissors - where would we be without them!

  • Make paper templates for teardrop petals and greenery (star shaped)
  • For one bud you will need two sizes of petals, three of each. Apply to a heated iron. Different foamirans react in their own way, so first check on an unnecessary piece to see what temperature yours is optimally suited to. Place the petal for a couple of seconds, and then twist the wide part with your fingers.
  • Having made 6 petals, unfold them. Be careful - they tear easily!
  • Cut the ends of the star into large fringes. We also apply it to the iron, and then twist it.
  • Wrap a piece of white foamiran around a lump of foil.
  • Surround this bud base with small petals, gluing them overlapping each other with glue.
  • Glue large petals on top.
  • Drop glue into the middle of the sepal and press the bud.
  • Press the edges of the greenery together in several places onto the bud with glue.
  • Well, to make a rose, you just need to cut more petals, about the same - 3-4 pieces of each size, they will go in rows and a little in a spiral.

Rose buds from foamiran: technique for beginners

Another MK with step-by-step photos and descriptions. You already know the principle, try slightly changing the actions and color of the buds, see what happens.

  • Using the template, cut out 5 identical parts for the bud and sepal:

  • The petal heated on the iron should be given this concave shape:

  • Here's what they look like together:

  • As in the previous MK, you need to cut the edges of the leaves:

  • We also bend the hot leaf inward:

  • It is not necessary to tint the leaves. In general, this can be done not with paints, but with eye shadow - take note:

  • Our buds will have stems, so you need to make a hole in a piece of foil with a knitting needle or skewer:

  • Take a thick, strong wire and use pliers to make a loop at the end. Insert the loop into the foil where the hole is. If you don’t have wire, you don’t have to make a hole separately, just insert a skewer, first just drop some glue on its end:

  • Take the first petal and wrap it around the foil, applying glue first:

  • Wrap it completely so that the foil almost hides it:

  • The other petals just need to be glued very tightly:

  • Glue the first leaf, bend the fringe a little:

  • Glue the remaining leaves so that they are evenly distributed around the bud; it’s okay if they overlap each other, as long as there are no gaps:

  • The stem of the finished bud can be wrapped with floral tape, a long thin strip of foamiran, or floss threads. Or you can leave it as is:

  • From the many buds and roses, the bouquet looks so real!

Small bud without foil

If the previous lessons told how to make a bud with a foil base, then these instructions are about how to make one without it. In addition, these buds will be very small to create a wreath or bridal bouquet.

  • We make a large number of petals, as in the first MK, and apply each one to the iron:

  • We wrap the first petal on a piece of wire about 5 cm long with glue:

  • And the second and third in a row:

  • After 5-6 petals we try not to glue the top, but to bend it outwards more and more:

  • Each bud will have about 8 petals:

  • Sepals, leaves, cut the fringe:

  • If you have a textured stencil for leaves, after heating, apply the leaves to it immediately, then they will look just like life:

  • Glue the greenery to the bud using second glue:

  • If you connect many of these buds with tape, using thick wire as a basis, you will get a beautiful wreath or headband:

My experience in making flowers from corrugated paper and making cards in the scrapbooking style helped me.

Flowers made from foamiran are very light and beautiful; they can be used to decorate a headband, make a boutonniere, or decorate them as an elastic band for your hair. My daughter really liked the flowers and she has already ordered an elastic band for her hair. When she saw the roses, she jumped with happiness, hoping that she would soon have a new beautiful hair clip or hair tie. Well, what can you do, little fashionista.)))

Rosebud made of foamiran. Master class for beginners

We will need:

  • foamiran (I have Iranian)
  • glue gun
  • scissors
  • foil

I didn't buy a lot of foamiran. But I really enjoyed creating with this material. I bought white and green foamiran. Iranian foamiran.

In the photo he certainly looks paler than in life, and today is a cloudy day, the photo is not at all of the quality I wanted. Nevertheless, I made roses, which I am very happy about.

For a rose we need 3 petals 2.5 by 2.5 cm and 3 petals 3 by 3 cm. You can reduce the size as desired, depending on what you need the rose bud for.

I also drew a star shaped sepal template about 2.5cm long on each edge.

Now we fold the squares diagonally and begin to cut out a droplet. These will be the rose petals.

You can cut out each rose petal separately, but for me it’s faster and easier. The petal is in the form of a droplet. We need three small petals and three larger ones.

Now let's shape the petals. Turn on the iron. Do not heat the iron too much, keep it warm and not very hot.

Place the petal on the iron for a few seconds. Then use an accordion to collect the wide edge of the petal and scroll clockwise 3-4 times. In the end, this is what happens.

And we do this with 6 petals. Then we unfold the petals and stretch the middle a little. It reminded me a bit of working with corrugated paper. They also turn out quite beautiful, and the principle of operation is similar.

True, unlike foamiran, corrugated paper does not tear. But I tore 2 petals from foamiran, but all due to negligence.

This is what rose petals look like.

Now let's start preparing the sepals. To make the sepals, I cut out a star. I make small cuts along the edges. I know the edges are still tinted, but I didn't do that.

By the way, yesterday at the market, they told me that you can tint the leaves with regular eye shadow. This is a note. I haven't tried it, but I think I can try.

When all the edges are processed with scissors, I apply the sepal to a hot iron for a couple of seconds, collect everything into a bun and scroll clockwise several times. Unfold the sepals.

The result is such beautiful, and most importantly believable sepals, like those of real rose buds.

When everything is prepared, it is the preparation that takes a lot of time, you can start assembling a rosebud from foamiran with your own hands.

To create a bud we need a small piece of foil. I rolled up the foil and gave it the shape of a small drop. The size of the foil droplet should be such that it is completely covered by the petals.

I need a piece of white foaminaran to cover the foil. This is how a rose bud is formed. Now I'll show you how I do it.

I apply hot glue to the edges of the rectangle and apply it to the foil drop. It is necessary that the edges fit tightly and the foil does not show through.

I apply glue to the bottom edge of the petal. If you don't have a glue gun, you can try glue moment. This is how a bud is formed.

Having glued the first row of petals, glue the second row of petals 3 by 3 cm. The second row of petals should be 2-3 mm. higher than the first. The result is a bud of 6 petals.

Apply glue to the bottom edge of the petals and glue them to the bud.

This is what the reverse side of a foamiran rosebud looks like.

Glue the finished bud to the sepal. Drop a drop of glue into the middle and apply a rose.

I apologize for not filming how I'm dripping hot glue and applying glue. Because I took the photo myself, and this is very inconvenient. So I point with my finger where I will apply the glue. There were no assistants today.)))

I also use additional glue to fix the sepal to the rose bud. As in the photo.

The result is rose buds made from foamiran like this. I made 3 buds. My daughter convinced me that, for a beginner craftswoman, the roses turned out to be quite beautiful.)))

True, from one I got a big rose. I additionally glued on 2 more rows of petals. One of the petals is 3.5 by 3.5 cm, and then another row of petals is 4 by 4 cm.

These flowers can make a beautiful wreath. If you like headbands and wreaths with flowers made of foamiran, then I suggest you familiarize yourself with Tamara Chervinskaya’s master class “.” Master class with step-by-step photos. I am sure that if you have the desire, you will succeed!

Create with love! I really liked working with foamiran, the only thing is that this creativity takes a lot of time.))) But the roses turn out as if they were alive.
