Installation of rings in a well: types of installation of structures

Installing a well does not always cause difficulties if there is definitely a design project that indicates all its parameters, sizes of materials and their quantity.

Types of wells and their methods of construction

They can be of two types:

  • Water collection.

Sewer structures are divided into several types:

  • Drain holes.
  • Septic tanks with one or more cameras.

Water reservoirs are divided into:

  • Mine.
  • Pipe (wells).

The photo shows examples of well structures of this type.

Note. They differ not only in the ways of use and purpose, but also in the methods of their construction.

Sewer wells and methods of their arrangement

At the moment, they have become popular in the suburban area in the form of septic tank sewer wells (see). They are made of their plastic and can have up to four chambers.
To establish such a sewerage, there are certain requirements:

  • There should be no edible vegetation on the surface of the soil. Only flowers can be grown.
  • The location of septic tanks should be at least 15-20 m from the residential building.
  • If septic tanks with a large number of chambers are used, then the site should also be large, since the area that they can occupy is 16 squares.

Modern ready-made septic tanks have a rather high price and not everyone is able to build a structure of this type on their site.

Advice. Septic tanks with a certain number of chambers, although they are practical structures, take up too much space on the site and for this reason, in most cases, simple sewer wells are preferred.

They can be made from the following materials:

  • Reinforced concrete of a certain diameter.
  • Brick, which is laid over the walls of the structure in a "checkerboard pattern".
  • Wood.

Forms can be:

  • Square.
  • Round.
  • Rectangular.

It all depends on the type of material that will be used to build the structure.

Advice. For arranging square or rectangular ones, brick, stone or wood are used. Rings are used for round ones.

Construction of a sewer well yourself

As a rule, construction work is done by hand, there is nothing complicated here.
Use for this:

  • Shovels and other improvised tools and devices.
  • Specialized equipment that digs a hole of the required depth in a short period of time.

Advice. A home-made septic tank, which will later be lined with brick or stone, should have a cone shape. Thus, the effluents can be freely filtered and the purified effluent water will flow into the ground.

So:

  • If you use the technique for digging, then its shape will be even.
  • Basically, the shape is square or rectangular, but this does not prevent the use of rounded reinforced concrete rings in the arrangement of the structure.

The design of a homemade sewer well

For runoff water can be any. It all depends on the daily water consumption of each family member. As a rule, the optimal depth is 5-6 m.

Advice. If the structure is done correctly, then it will be necessary to clean the structure only after a few years.

  • As soon as the ditch is dug, crushed stone, gravel and sand are poured into it. These materials are natural filters and are able to purify runoff water that enters the ground.
  • The layers of these materials may be different. It all depends on the depth. The best option is considered to be a layer thickness of 10 cm.

Advice. For sewer wells, it is not necessary to install a bottom.

Walls can be:

  • Reinforced concrete rings.
  • plastic rings.

Consider:

  • If the installation of plastic sewer rings is carried out quite quickly and simply, then the installation of sewer wells using reinforced concrete rings will not do without the use of special equipment.
  • This is due to the fact that the rings are made of heavy concrete, which in the process is mixed with small gravel or crushed stone.

At the moment, the following reinforced concrete rings are used:

  • Support (wall).
  • Neck.

Support rings can be with or without locks.

Advice. It is best to use locking rings made of concrete. They are securely fastened together with special locks.

So:

  • The installation of concrete rings in a sewerage well must be accompanied by high-quality processing of their joints. Despite the locks that are located at the bottom and top of the ring, the concrete solution is able to protect the structure from destruction as a result of soil displacement or flooding.
  • You can install the rings not close to each other, but at a certain distance. This will provide greater efficiency in the removal of wastewater.
Only here it is worth considering that their purification will not take place and in case of oversaturation of the soil with water, floodplains may occur or there will be constantly wet soil in the surrounding area of the sewer.
  • The cover can be made of plastic or metal. It is also possible to make it with your own hands and for this you need to make a form of wooden boards and planks and a concrete solution is poured into it. The lid turns out to be monolithic and quite heavy.

Water wells

They can be in the form of a well or mine. It is for the latter type that rings are installed.

Rings can be:

  • Concrete.
  • Plastic.

Plastic rings can only be used in prefabricated composite structures.
They already have a certain set of rings:

  • Bottom.
  • Wall rings (support).
  • Neck.

  • To assemble such a design, there is a certain instruction, according to which the rings are fastened together using special fasteners.

Advice. The installation of rings for a plastic well can be carried out not in a prefabricated structure, but in separate elements. The rings do not have a large mass and it is quite possible to do everything yourself.

Reinforced concrete rings, which are used to build water wells, are more popular and easier to use.
They may be:

  • Bottom.
  • Support.
  • Neck.

So:

  • Support rings may also be different. In some cases, there are holes that allow you to drain excess water, or vice versa, allow you to draw it into the inside of the structure.
  • The ring sizes are very different.

Their diameter can be:

  • 70 cm
  • 80 cm
  • 90 cm
  • 100 cm.

Advice. These dimensions show only the inner diameter of the ring. The outer one will be much larger and this should be taken into account when digging a ditch for a well.

  • The thickness of the rings can be 4-5-7 cm. It all depends on the depth of the structure.
  • The installation of well rings in the structure is carried out only with the use of special equipment, since the rings are too heavy.

Advice. When constructing any well from reinforced concrete rings, it is better to use cranes and specialized machines that will help to install each structural element smoothly and efficiently.

Consider:

  • The work on the organization of the water well does not end there. Just as in the construction of a sewer well, concrete mortar must be used to fix the rings.
  • The video in this article shows how you can organize your own well for water supply and use reinforced concrete rings.

Advice. It will be mandatory to make full design calculations.

They include:

  • The amount of material used, which depends on the depth: reinforced concrete or plastic rings, crushed stone, gravel, sand, concrete mortar.
  • The size and depth of the structure, which must clearly match the amount of material used if rings are used.

Let's say:

  • The well is 120 cm wide and 5 m deep.
  • The reinforced concrete ring has a height of 70 cm.
  • It turns out you need 7 reinforced concrete rings and one neck.

Advice. If the design lacks 30-40 cm, then you can use not one, but several necks to set the well, or pour the ring of the desired height yourself.

If special equipment is used, then the cost of renting it should also be included in the overall design calculation.

Other ways to build wells in a suburban area

No one will argue with the fact that the independent construction of any type of structure will not hit the family budget. But, if there is no experience in such work, then it is better to turn to specialists in this field.

So:

  • At the moment, there are a large number of enterprises that provide services for organizing wells in suburban areas.
  • Initially, you need to decide what type of structure will be, since the cost of installing a well depends on it.

The company's services include:

  • Digging a hole of a fixed size.
  • Installation of rings or other devices inside the structure.
  • Full fixation of well rings.
  • Carrying out inspection work to eliminate defects in the construction work.

After the agreed type of well and the method of its manufacture, an estimate is drawn up for the installation of the well. This does not include not only the cost of the work of specialists, but also the cost of purchasing material, as well as the wear and tear of the equipment used.
