Why Finale?
Tried Sibelius. But something went wrong with the installation of the 6th version. Errors popped up right away. Why deal with them ... I did not find a good version for testing.
Only version 4. But the interface of Sibeliusa scared me away. There should be a portrait of Sibelius. I don't want to search (download) it anymore.

Installation went quickly and without problems. I had 256MB of RAM - 32MB (for video).
The finale complained about the small size of the memory, but it was installed. However, I did not install Garritan Instruments sound extensions (they need 500MB of RAM and almost 2GB of HD space).

Entering notes
My experience is small. So far, only about 20 songs and melodies. Different level of difficulty. I'm slowly studying the roughness and subtlety of Finale 2010. There are many errors in recognizing notes from a picture. And one of the problems is that the notes belong to a bar, but are outside the bar line. And there they are blocked from editing. This is solved quite simply. It's easier to re-create the measure) But if there are triplets in the measure... When switching between entering triplets and regular notes, the missing pauses are inserted. At the end of the beat. Them finale may not show up right away. And you can no longer insert a note. You can of course remove these pauses and then there is the possibility to enter notes. But I need to replace the duration of the note in the triplet. As soon as you switch to triol. Again, pauses pop up and the duration of the measure is all occupied. Here is such a crap. In words, it is not clear, probably explained. But this, in general, is also simply everything is solved. It is necessary to temporarily reduce the duration of the triplet.

In my first attempts, mus was recorded with many errors and inaccuracies. Missed the nuances. Now everything seems to be better and faster. Learning by doing...
