Hinged decorative brick facade pdf. Choosing a clinker brick for the facade

In modern construction, various foam concretes are increasingly being used, which make it possible to make the best use of their positive qualities with a noticeable reduction in the cost of the entire structure. A common variant of the facade of such a house was construction with a clinker brick finish.

To facilitate the stages of work, the three-layer masonry was replaced with a clinker ventilated facade. Its characteristic feature is the gap left between the cladding and the main mass of the wall. In the resulting space, natural circulation of air flows occurs, which contributes to the removal of water vapor from building structures. This creates favorable conditions for the exploitation of the load-bearing wall material and its thermal insulation protection. As a result, the service life of the building is extended, the microclimate in its interior is improved.

A ventilated brick-like facade not only looks stylish, but also effectively retains heat, which allows you to comfortably survive the winter cold and save on utility bills. But not ordinary clinker bricks, but a special flat tile imitating them.

Façade clinker is produced by a method similar to the production of real bricks. It consists of clay, quartz, mica, iron oxides and kaolin. The product before full readiness undergoes the firing procedure. Thus, a thin, light, small-piece product is obtained. On the back of which there are grooves. And the profile to which the facade clinker will be attached has ridges. When engaging, the clinker brick sits on the ventilated façade.

  • High strength and wear resistance, providing a service life of more than 100 years.
  • Dense structure, low porosity, low water absorption.
  • Resistance to influence of chemically active substances.
  • Ability to withstand severe frosts. Immunity to temperature extremes.
  • High density, which must be taken into account when calculating loads.
  • Ease of care. Does not overgrow with moss and mold.
  • Ecological purity. By production only natural components and dyes are used.
  • Large selection of shades and textures. The material does not fade in the sun, retaining a rich color for a long time.
  • Relatively high cost.

There are two main ways to install clinker for a facade. The first involves the installation of an additional layer of brick with a small gap from the main wall. The second requires a hinged structure, which is a support for the clinker tiles. It is about the ventilated brick facade that will be discussed in the article.

Ventilated facade made of clinker bricks

With the help of brackets, bearing and fixing profiles, the frame is mounted on the wall. The design contains layers of thermal insulation and a ventilated gap. From the outside, clinker tiles are laid on it in even rows.

Finish under brick facades buildings is a popular way in today's economically difficult situation, when using a real clinker brick no possibilities.

Construction company "Alpika" carries out the design, production and installation of ventilated brick facades for buildings and structures of any configuration. At all stages of the project, work is carried out by experienced specialists of the highest qualification - architects, engineers, designers, installers.

Description of the ventilated brick facade

One of the innovative facade systems is ventilated facades with a brick finish. Fully compliant with building codes and regulations, confirmed by energy-saving design parameters. Elements of the facade system from and under the brick

  • universal brackets for reliable fastening of the structure on the surface of the load-bearing wall;
  • movable inserts designed to compensate for irregularities in the base facade;
  • vertical guides, which are attached directly to the movable inserts with a certain step, providing a flat plane of the front facade surface;
  • fixing rivets made of stainless steel;
  • horizontal belts (profiles) subsystems for laying bricks.

Installation of hinged ventilated facade systems from and under brick

Facing works for hinged facade systems are made of natural stone or materials imitating brickwork. Innovative technologies and the entire installed system of ventilated finishing provide brick ventilated facades with heat-saving characteristics, remove condensate and maintain the microclimate inside the premises.

Before starting work, they are determined with the mounting method, which differ in the technology of work and the price component. The first is the hinged fastening of a brick to the facade of the building is carried out according to the following conditions:

  • markings on the walls for the installation of fasteners, anchors and beacons;
  • laying of thermal insulation material;
  • installation of a frame profile;
  • laying the outer cladding.

The second installation option is the classic laying of brick facade panels directly on the foundation of the building.

Arrangement in any of the ways perfectly beats the exterior of the building, significantly extending its life.

A completely brick building is an extremely costly solution. High labor costs are added to the consumption of materials. According to the technology of laying facing bricks, it is very difficult to ensure the correct geometry and avoid the risks of collapse. Therefore, in order to create a realistic brick-like facade, the technology of a ventilated facade with brick-like facade cladding is increasingly used in practice. The horizontal belts of the subsystem in this case allow achieving absolute evenness of the masonry.

From an architectural point of view, a brick facade is often a must. Use may be the only possible one if the "box" of the building is already ready and there is a requirement to comply with the historical style.

Advantages of a ventilated brick facade

  • Saving on heating at home, due to energy saving.
  • The use of a ventilated system on buildings up to 75 m high has been certified.
  • High installation speed.
  • Possibility of year-round installation.
  • The absence of "salt spots" on the facade.
  • The absence of cold zones in places of interfloor ceilings.
  • Creation of a comfortable microclimate (dew point in the area of the ventilated duct, and not inside the building).

Installation system for brick ventilation facade

One of the most promising technologies for modern decoration of the facade parts of buildings and structures is the system of hinged ventilated facades. It appeared 10 years ago and managed to occupy a fairly significant part of the market for finishing facade materials.

The brick-like ventilated facade has a characteristic feature: the possibility of using it on new buildings and for the reconstruction of old ones. The system of such facades allows solving actual problems of energy saving.

In addition, visually it is no different from traditional cladding, in which ordinary building bricks are used.

What are ventilated facades?

The essence of ventilated cladding is to create a gap between the insulation and the wall of the clad building. The main functional purpose of such a gap is to remove moisture and condensates, which are formed due to the difference in temperatures inside and outside the room.

The system consists of a cladding layer and a fastening system, i.e. a frame on which the cladding is mounted. It can be made from a wide variety of materials.

A hinged ventilated facade must meet the following criteria:

  • Have a ventilated gap available, the dimensions of which vary from 20 to 100 mm.
  • There must be air inlet and outlet openings in the lower and upper parts.
  • The absence of horizontal cut-offs between the facade wall and the cladding, preventing the free movement of air.
  • Facing should not be monolithic and not have gaps.

Depending on the type of cladding, a fastening system is selected, which is called a subsystem. Thus, a brick ventilated facade can be mounted on an aluminum or stainless steel subsystem. In addition to various materials, such subsystems can be made according to various schemes.

The design and scheme of installation and fastening of such subsystems is designed in such a way that it is able to compensate for deformations that occur as a result of temperature changes.

The ventilated ones also include those types for which decoration is used, for example, double silicate brick M 150, or other natural or artificial stone. In this case, the subsystem is not used, and the fastening of the cladding to the wall of the building is provided with the help of mounting anchors.

The material and design of such anchor ties depends on the material from which the wall to be lined is made. It is quite natural that such a large range of materials used entails a fairly large range of prices. The most budget price for materials where polymer panels are used.

Additional advantages of ventilated facades

This type of finish has a multilayer structure, each layer of which performs certain functions. This ensures a long service life and high performance characteristics of the entire wall-cladding complex, and allows the main walls of buildings to maintain a favorable thermoregulation regime.

Thermoregulation without a protective lining layer is one of the destructive factors that affect the service life. Thus, the installation of a hinged system can significantly increase the operational life of the building.

The insulating layer of the insulation guarantees a lower consumption of energy resources that are used for heating. Such technology of building insulation allows, as a rule, to save up to 30% of energy resources. The service life of such systems directly depends on the material chosen and the correct installation.

Installation of a ventilated facade

Since such methods of building cladding have been developed and are used for buildings of any type and purpose, the main structural elements are unified. This unification greatly facilitates installation and makes it possible to do it yourself.

Installation does not require special preparation of the facade. The exception is old buildings, where it is necessary to remove the old cladding and unnecessary structures.

Installation procedure:

  1. On the cleaned wall, markings are made for fixing subsystems or anchors, and beacons are set.
  2. First, the insulation panels are attached in accordance with the instructions for the insulation.
  3. The main frame is being fastened, which will serve as the basis for fastening the cladding elements. The type and design features of the frame depend on the type of material used for decoration. The lion's share of modern subsystems is made of aluminum alloys and galvanized steel.
  4. Cladding panels are attached to the frame.

Advice. The methods of fastening the frame depend on what the building itself is made of. Fastening to stone and concrete bases is carried out using anchor dowels.

Work rules

When attaching the frame, you should pay attention to the fasteners. As a rule, the instruction suggests linking the size and number of anchor fasteners with the weight of that part of the structure that is used outside.

That is, the greater the weight, the larger the diameter of the dowel should be. The correct choice of fasteners will allow you to evenly distribute the load. Together with the installation of the subsystem, the installation of such functional structural elements as brackets for drainpipes, fastening for ebbs and slopes of window and door openings is carried out.

Fixing the insulation

After the installation of the subsystem, the installation of the insulation should begin. To ensure a long service life of the insulation, a vapor-permeable membrane film is mounted on its outer side. It will protect the insulation from the accumulation of excessive moisture, which can provoke the development of microorganisms.

Advice. Mineral and basalt fiber heaters most fully meet all the requirements that apply to such heaters.

Finishing

After the operations of the device of the subsystem and the installation of the insulation, they proceed to the direct installation of the elements of the decoration itself. can be fixed in both visible and hidden way. All panel elements, as well as subsystem elements, are unified and interchangeable. Therefore, the technology of their installation is not particularly difficult.

The only caveat is the use of porcelain stoneware and thermal panels coated with clinker tiles. The fact is that these options for ventilated facades upon completion of work require a process such as grouting.

The vertical facade system "Fast-KLT" is made of galvanized steel with a polymer coating, allows the use of clinker tiles on the facade with and without grout, which makes it possible to carry out facing work all year round and guarantee the facade a beautiful appearance for a service life of more than 100 years!

Clinker tiles

Clinker tiles have the highest strength and attractive appearance, giving the facade a beautiful, clearly defined pattern of perfect brickwork. Combining the advantages of a hinged ventilated facade and natural clinker, it is ideal for creating facades of private cottages, office buildings, multi-storey residential buildings.

The low moisture absorption coefficient makes the clinker tiles extremely resistant to frost. The use of natural raw materials in the production of tiles provides a high degree of UV resistance, which significantly increases the service life and makes it possible to use in rather aggressive environments, for finishing the facades of buildings that need protection from negative atmospheric influences.
